10. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners. Wondering what to weld and looking for inspiration? Then you are exactly right here. In this article, I'll show you three ideas for DIY steel furniture - perfect for re-welding.
11.
12. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners
13. Today I show you three easy welding projects for you and your welding machine. Perfect for re-welding and suitable for beginners. So if you're still looking for some easy welding projects and ideas for beginners, you might find them here. No matter how inexperienced you are, you will definitely get these projects implemented.
14.
15. Self-made furniture brings personality into your own four walls. I love coming up with my own designs and building my own furniture. And these designs I want to share with you today. So if you're still looking for inspiration for your next welding project, you've come to the right place.
16.
17. No money for designer furniture? Then just build it yourself. I'll show you three pieces of furniture that you can easily rebuild. Includes building plan, instructions and a list of everything you need. Would you like a stylish eye-catcher for your apartment, brand: self-made? I show you three easy welding projects and ideas for beginners.

19. 1. Weld the wardrobe yourself
20. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners
21. Wardrobes and clothes racks are very trendy right now. While we used to hide our clothes in meter-long closet walls, today we can present our treasures. Admittedly, clothes rails are available from 10 EUR. However, these models are usually not pretty. Also, I prefer something sturdy. Because the quality of most clothes rails from the retail trade leaves a lot to be desired.
22.
23. The great thing: building your own wardrobe or clothes rail is super easy. This project is definitely suitable for beginners. If you are looking for simple welding projects and ideas for beginners, a self-welded wardrobe is a good idea. Almost all welds are hidden, so you can fry to your heart's content. Even if your welds aren't supermodels yet, you can tackle this project with confidence.

I will explain step-by-step how to proceed, give you a shopping list and have prepared a free construction plan for you.

29. 2. Weld the plant stand yourself
30. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners
31. Are you looking for simple welding projects and ideas for beginners? Then the plant stand is definitely something for you!
32.
33. I love plants and couldn't get enough of them. Urban Jungle is my declared goal. However, I lack the green thumb. Not so wild, because I skilfully staged the few plants that survive my “care”. And with a plant stand.
34.
35. The great thing: a plant stand makes your plant appear larger. Perfect for anyone without a green thumb. In addition, large plants are not exactly cheap. It doesn't have to be at all, because we just cheat ourselves a bit of size. This is a great thing, especially for small rooms. The stand doesn't make the room look cluttered, even if you line up several pots next to each other.
36.
37. Build a plant stand yourself. No problem. That's very easy. There are numerous instructions for wooden plant stands on the Internet. But why not try a steel version?
38.
39. You need:
40. And this tool:
41. 15 mm square bar steel (solid material)
42. paint if necessary
43. welding machine
44. angle grinder
45. Grinding discs & if necessary cutting disc
46. Don't forget job security
47. Safety at work is important and really not to be neglected. I have summarized what you need here:
48.
49. When welding
50. When sanding
51. welding helmet
52. welding gloves
53. sweat extraction
54. earmuffs
55. safety goggles
56. breathing mask
57. Instructions: Weld the plant stand
58. I used solid material for the plant stand. But of course you can also use steel pipe and then close the openings with caps. I like the solution with solid material better, but of course that is a matter of taste.
59.
60. I wrote down the measurements I used in my instructions. It's even easier if you choose a pot beforehand. Then you measure the diameter of your pot (outer wall to opposite outer wall). Now you know exactly how big your cross, i.e. the contact surface for the plant pot, has to be.
61.
62. 1. Saw steel
63.
64. You can buy the steel already sawn in some online shops and in some hardware stores. You usually pay a hefty surcharge for this. That's why I recommend you to saw the steel yourself. If you don't have a steel saw in the workshop or at home, you can easily saw the steel with an angle grinder and a cutting disc.
65.
66. It is best to build a small device for this. You can clamp a piece of steel on the surface to be cut and thus have direct guidance. Feel free to visit me on Instagram . I have a post on the subject and I'll explain how it works!
67.
68. If you want to cut the steel with an angle grinder, I would recommend the version with a steel tube. Because otherwise you will need half an eternity to cut with the angle grinder.
69.
70. Here I have written down the dimensions I used for you. It's even easier if you choose a pot beforehand. The outer diameter of your pot tells you how big your cross needs to be. I used a 28.3 cm diameter pot. It's best to plan a bit of play on both sides.
71.
72. You need:
73.
74. 1x 28.5 cm for the cross
75.
76. 2 x 13.5 cm also for the cross
77.
78. 4 x 45 cm for the legs
79.
80. 2. Cross weld
81.
82. We build the cross from a total of three pieces of steel: a continuous square piece of steel and 2 shorter pieces. Align the cross and use an angle to check whether you really have aligned everything squarely. Best to clamp. I welded the cross on the inside edges. This saves you grinding. Because the cross is the shelf for your plant stand and nothing should wobble here.
83.
84. 3. Weld on legs
85.
86. When you have welded the cross, it is now the turn of the legs. Where you weld the cross is of course up to you. I let the legs run out about 10 cm above the cross. Depending on the size of your pot, you can adjust the length of the legs and the height of the cross.
87.
88. 4. Grind off welds
89.
90. If necessary, you can grind down the weld seams afterwards. I didn't paint the plant stand because I really like the finish of the steel. However, if you prefer to paint your plant stand, you are welcome to take a look at my guide " Painting metal with the spray can".
91.
92. 3. Weld the decorative ladder yourself
93. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners
94. Whether as a towel holder or decorative element, this piece will definitely be an eye-catcher in your home. The decorative ladder not only looks good, but is also practical. You can hang towels or hang your favorite magazine over them.
95.
96. If you are looking for easy welding projects and ideas for beginners, the decorative ladder is for you. Because it is perfect for practicing. And while you improve your skills, a new stylish highlight is created for your home.

358. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners. Wondering what to weld and looking for inspiration? Then you are exactly right here. In this article, I'll show you three ideas for DIY steel furniture - perfect for re-welding.

360. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners

364.
366.
367. 1. Weld the wardrobe yourself
368. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners
370.
372.
373. DIY metal wardrobe
374.
375. You can find out everything you need to know in my guide to building your own steel wardrobe. Just click on the button above and you will be taken straight to the instructions. I will explain step-by-step how to proceed, give you a shopping list and have prepared a free construction plan for you.
376.
377. 2. Weld the plant stand yourself
378. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners
379. Are you looking for simple welding projects and ideas for beginners? Then the plant stand is definitely something for you!
380.
381. I love plants and couldn't get enough of them. Urban Jungle is my declared goal. However, I lack the green thumb. Not so wild, because I skilfully staged the few plants that survive my “care”. And with a plant stand.
382.
384.
385. Build a plant stand yourself. No problem. That's very easy. There are numerous instructions for wooden plant stands on the Internet. But why not try a steel version?
386.
387. You need:
388. And this tool:
389. 15 mm square bar steel (solid material)
390. paint if necessary
391. welding machine
392. angle grinder
393. Grinding discs & if necessary cutting disc
394. Don't forget job security
395. Safety at work is important and really not to be neglected. I have summarized what you need here:
396.
397. When welding
398. When sanding
399. welding helmet
400. welding gloves
401. sweat extraction
402. earmuffs
403. safety goggles
404. breathing mask
405. Instructions: Weld the plant stand
406. I used solid material for the plant stand. But of course you can also use steel pipe and then close the openings with caps. I like the solution with solid material better, but of course that is a matter of taste.
407.
408. I wrote down the measurements I used in my instructions. It's even easier if you choose a pot beforehand. Then you measure the diameter of your pot (outer wall to opposite outer wall). Now you know exactly how big your cross, i.e. the contact surface for the plant pot, has to be.
409.
410. 1. Saw steel
411.
413.
414. It is best to build a small device for this. You can clamp a piece of steel on the surface to be cut and thus have direct guidance. Feel free to visit me on Instagram . I have a post on the subject and I'll explain how it works!
415.
416. If you want to cut the steel with an angle grinder, I would recommend the version with a steel tube. Because otherwise you will need half an eternity to cut with the angle grinder.
417.
418. Here I have written down the dimensions I used for you. It's even easier if you choose a pot beforehand. The outer diameter of your pot tells you how big your cross needs to be. I used a 28.3 cm diameter pot. It's best to plan a bit of play on both sides.
419.
420. You need:
421.
422. 1x 28.5 cm for the cross
423.
424. 2 x 13.5 cm also for the cross
425.
426. 4 x 45 cm for the legs
427.
428. 2. Cross weld
429.
431.
432. 3. Weld on legs
433.
434. When you have welded the cross, it is now the turn of the legs. Where you weld the cross is of course up to you. I let the legs run out about 10 cm above the cross. Depending on the size of your pot, you can adjust the length of the legs and the height of the cross.
435.
436. 4. Grind off welds
437.
438. If necessary, you can grind down the weld seams afterwards. I didn't paint the plant stand because I really like the finish of the steel. However, if you prefer to paint your plant stand, you are welcome to take a look at my guide " Painting metal with the spray can".
439.
440. 3. Weld the decorative ladder yourself
441. Easy welding projects and ideas for beginners
442. Whether as a towel holder or decorative element, this piece will definitely be an eye-catcher in your home. The decorative ladder not only looks good, but is also practical. You can hang towels or hang your favorite magazine over them.
443.
444. If you are looking for easy welding projects and ideas for beginners, the decorative ladder is for you. Because it is perfect for practicing. And while you improve your skills, a new stylish highlight is created for your home.

I have summarized what you need here:\r\n\r\nWhen welding\r\nWhen sanding\r\nwelding helmet\r\nwelding gloves\r\nsweat extraction\r\nearmuffs\r\nsafety goggles\r\nbreathing mask\r\nInstructions: Weld the plant stand\r\nI used solid material for the plant stand. But of course you can also use steel pipe and then close the openings with caps. I like the solution with solid material better, but of course that is a matter of taste. \r\n\r\nI wrote down the measurements I used in my instructions. It's even easier if you choose a pot beforehand. Then you measure the diameter of your pot (outer wall to opposite outer wall). Now you know exactly how big your cross, i.e. the contact surface for the plant pot, has to be.\r\n\r\n1. Saw steel\r\n\r\nYou can buy the steel already sawn in some online shops and in some hardware stores. You usually pay a hefty surcharge for this. That's why I recommend you to saw the steel yourself. If you don't have a steel saw in the workshop or at home, you can easily saw the steel with an angle grinder and a cutting disc. \r\n\r\nIt is best to build a small device for this. You can clamp a piece of steel on the surface to be cut and thus have direct guidance. Feel free to visit me on Instagram . I have a post on the subject and I'll explain how it works!\r\n\r\nIf you want to cut the steel with an angle grinder, I would recommend the version with a steel tube. Because otherwise you will need half an eternity to cut with the angle grinder. \r\n\r\nHere I have written down the dimensions I used for you. It's even easier if you choose a pot beforehand. The outer diameter of your pot tells you how big your cross needs to be. I used a 28.3 cm diameter pot. It's best to plan a bit of play on both sides.\r\n\r\nYou need:\r\n\r\n1x 28.5 cm for the cross\r\n\r\n2 x 13.5 cm also for the cross\r\n\r\n4 x 45 cm for the legs\r\n\r\n2. Cross weld\r\n\r\nWe build the cross from a total of three pieces of steel: a continuous square piece of steel and 2 shorter pieces. Align the cross and use an angle to check whether you really have aligned everything squarely. Best to clamp. I welded the cross on the inside edges. This saves you grinding. Because the cross is the shelf for your plant stand and nothing should wobble here. \r\n\r\n3. Weld on legs\r\n\r\nWhen you have welded the cross, it is now the turn of the legs. Where you weld the cross is of course up to you. I let the legs run out about 10 cm above the cross. Depending on the size of your pot, you can adjust the length of the legs and the height of the cross. \r\n\r\n4. Grind off welds\r\n\r\nIf necessary, you can grind down the weld seams afterwards. I didn't paint the plant stand because I really like the finish of the steel. However, if you prefer to paint your plant stand, you are welcome to take a look at my guide \" Painting metal with the spray can\".\r\n\r\n3.
