<description><![CDATA[This is a 1 day online course. Starting at 10:30 until approx. 3.30pm You will receive a teams invite from the trainer prior to your course. Please provide a postal address for course material to be posted.This course has been developed by the Lighting Industry Association to better understand the requirements of this legislation in an easy to digest way.If you are asking any of the following questions, this course will help you:<ul style="list-style-type: disc;"> <li style="line-height: normal;">How do I know if my product is legally compliant to Eco-design?</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Do I need to put an energy label on my product?</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Is my product exempt from this requirement?</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Is my product a lightsource or a containing product?</li> </ul>Since this legislation came into force in 2021 there has been some confusion within the industry as to how to apply it correctly. Legislation can be a tricky read so we have done the hard part for you by identifying the objective of the legislation, how to work out if your product is legal, and what information you need to provide.When you attend the on-site training session at our Academy in Telford, we welcome you to bring samples of your product(s) so we can directly relate the Eco-design requirements to your product.   MODULES/ LEARNING OBJECTIVES<ul style="list-style-type: disc;"> <li style="line-height: normal;">Legal energy efficiency requirements</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">How to calculate and generate energy labels</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">How to classify your product as a lightsource or containing product</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Identify what product markings are required</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Identify what packaging markings are required</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Identify what information is required in the product instructions</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Identify what information is required on websites</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">A brief look at the proposed amendment from the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (previously BEIS) MEPS</li> </ul>WHO IT IS FORTypically: Those involved in product compliance or technology; compliance managers or those taking responsibility for compliance such as Declaration of Conformity signatories.More generally: Manufacturers, Importers, Designers, Technical staff, Product selectors, Product specifiers, Quality staff, and distributors that are supplying energy using lighting products.HOW IT IS DELIVEREDThe course is delivered via presentations and course notes handouts in a classroom setting. <description><![CDATA[Teresa BeazleyThis is a 1-day online course. The course starts at 9.30am and finishes at 4.30pm. The trainer will send a Teams meeting invite prior to the course. The Relux Foundation course will be delivered using the latest version of ReluxDesktop. The new software has a completely changed Graphical User Interface and new functions not found in previous versions. ReluxDesktop will install in parallel with Relux Suite, users can continue to use ReluxPro from Relux suite whilst they make the transition to Relux from ReluxDesktop. ReluxDesktop can be downloaded from here <a href="https://relux.com/en/downloads.html">https://relux.com/en/downloads.html</a> If you have problems accessing or installing the new release contact <a href="mailto:relux@42partners.com">relux@42partners.com</a> 2 screens and the use of a 3 button (scroll wheel) mouse is required for this course.
