방송인 전현무가 생애 첫 올림픽 역도 캐스터로 나선다.
올림픽 중계 관련 경험이 전혀 없는 그가 예능프로그램에서 만난 역도선수 박혜정과의 약속을 지키기 위해 파리로 향한 것으로 알려지며 이목이 쏠리고 있다.
KBS에 따르면 전현무는 지난 6일 프랑스 파리에 도착했다.
전현무는 KBS 스포츠국을 통해 “드디어 파리 공항에 도착했다.
사격에서 김민경 위원이 좋은 성적 냈다고 들었다.
시청률도 잘 나왔고”라면서 “그 좋은 기운을 받아서 저 전현무도 3일 뒤 박혜정 선수의 역도 중계 시청률 1위로 보답하겠다.

2008년 베이징 올림픽’ 금메달리스트 장미란 문화체육관광부 차관의 은퇴 이후 역도는 올림픽 비인기 종목으로 분류돼 왔다.
지난 6월 전현무가 진행하는 프로그램에 출연한 박혜정은 “지난해 열린 항저우 아시안게임에서 좋은 성적을 냈는데, 입국 날짜가 배드민턴 선수들과 겹쳤다.
배드민턴 쪽으로 기자들이 몰려 마음이 아팠다”고 비인기 종목 선수로서 겪는 서러움을 토로했다.
그는 “현장 중계가 왔다는 사실을 알면 ‘보여 줘야지’라는 마음이 든다”고 털어놓기도 했다.

스포츠 중계 자체가 처음이라 부담이 클 법도 하지만, 박혜정의 가슴 아픈 사연을 접하고 전격 파리행을 결심했다는 게 KBS 측의 설명이다.
고정프로그램이 21개에 달하는 바쁜 일정 속에서도 박혜정과의 약속을 지키기 위해 선뜻 파리로 향했다.
전현무의 영향일까.
2024 파리 올림픽 역도 중계는 주요 경기 이상으로 관심을 받고 있다.
KBS 전현무에 이어 SBS는 배성재를 역도 캐스터로 내세웠다.
지난달 2일 유튜브 채널 KBS 스포츠가 공개한 영상에서 전현무는 “나 때문에 배성재가 하는 거 알지?”라며 “원래 SBS는 중계 안 하려고 했다.
역도 종목 (입장에선) 잘된 일”이라고 말하기도 했다.
프로필 사진을 촬영하면서 “배성재 게 섰거라”고 덧붙이기도 했다.
배성재는 SBS 대표 캐스터로, 다양한 스포츠를 중계했지만 역도 중계를 맡는 건 그 역시 이번이 처음이다.
2024 파리 올림픽 역도 경기는 7일 남자 역도 61kg 경기를 시작으로 대회 마지막인 11일까지 이어진다.

한국은 의욕적으로 달려들었지만, 단식 세계랭킹 1∼3위(쑨잉사 1위·천멍 2위·왕만위 3위)를 점령하고 있는 중국엔 역부족이었다.
항저우 아시안게임 금메달 복식조이자 여자 복식 세계랭킹 2위 신유빈-전지희 조가 1복식 경기에 나섰고, 중국에선 세계랭킹 1위 천멍-왕만위 조가 나왔다.
첫 두 게임을 내주며 패색이 짙어지는 듯하던 신유빈-전지희 조는 3게임에서 노련하게 경기를 펼치며 승리를 가져왔다.
4게임에서는 6점 차로 밀리다가 9-9를 만드는 놀라운 집중력을 보여줬으나 이후 신유빈과 전지희의 샷이 차례로 테이블을 벗어나면서 결국 1-3(4-11 5-11 11-9 9-11)으로 패했다.

한국은 이어 열린 준결승전에서 일본에 매치 점수 1-3으로 진 독일과 10일 오후 5시 동메달을 두고 겨룬다.

신정휘(국민체육진흥공단)는 파리 아쿠아틱센터에서 벌어진 다이빙 남자 10ｍ 플랫폼 예선에서 1∼6차 시기 합계 369.20점을 얻어 26명 중 17위에 올라 18명이 겨루는 준결승에 진출했다.
신정휘는 10일 오후 5시에 준결승을 치른다.
신정휘는 다른 나라에서 출전권을 포기한 선수가 나온 덕분에 파리행 막차를 타고 준결승 진출의 값진 성과를 냈다.

During September, 11 of the 12 AGEM Index companies reported stock price decreases, with only “one positive contribution to the AGEM Index,” said the index’s publisher, the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM). 
The largest negative contribution to the monthly index was from Japan’s Konami Group Corp, which via its Konami Gaming Inc and Konami Australia Pty Ltd units supplies casino slot machines and floor management systems. The parent’s 6.7-percent stock price decrease in September led to a 16.50-point loss for the AGEM Index.
Gaming equipment and content provider Light & Wonder Inc had a 7.0-percent decrease in share price month-on-month, leading to a 11.50-point loss for the index.

AGEM represents manufacturers of electronic gaming devices, systems, lotteries and components for the gaming industry. The association began compiling data for the index in January 2005 using a base of 100 points. Gaming equipment maker and content provider International Game Technology Plc (IGT) on Tuesday reported aggregate revenue of US$587 million for the third quarter of 2024, down 2.3 percent from a year earlier.
The third quarter marked the first reporting period where the results of IGT’s gaming and digital business were “classified as discontinued operations,” stated the company.
The group runs three main segments: global lottery; global gaming; and PlayDigital, its online content arm.
IGT is to sell its gaming and digital business to funds managed by affiliates of private equity firm Apollo Global Management Inc, for US$4.05 billion.
Upon completion of the sale of IGT gaming and digital businesses, the current IGT will be a “pure-play lottery company” under a new name and ticker symbol.
The funds linked to Apollo will simultaneously acquire gaming technology supplier Everi Holdings Inc, paying US$14.25 per share in cash. The <a href="https://www.casinositezone.com/">온라인카지노</a> transactions are expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2025.
Third-quarter adjusted earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at US$264 million, down 5.4 percent from a year ago.
Adjusted EBITDA margin was 44.9 percent in the period, which the company said “highlight attractive profit profile of pure-play lottery business”. It compared with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 46.4 percent in the third quarter of 2023.
The company reported operating income of US$110 million for the three months to September 30, versus US$163 million in the prior-year period, “primarily driven by a US$38 million restructuring charge associated with … a [multi-year] programme focused on optimising general, administrative and operating activities”.
Tuesday’s announcement cited Vince Sadusky, chief executive of IGT, as saying: “Our third-quarter and year-to-date performance underscores the strength and resilience of our business model marked by our scale, attractive margin structure, and strong cash generation.”
The CEO added: “Over the first nine months, we generated US$1.9 billion in revenue, led by steady Italy [lottery] growth and improved third quarter trends in the U.S. We are excited to build upon a solid foundation as we transform into a leaner, more focused global lottery pure play and capitalise on attractive industry dynamics.”
Max Chiara, the group’s chief financial officer, said in prepared remarks that the firm’s “sustained cash flow generation in the first nine months was predominantly driven by continuing operations”.
“The value of IGT is enhanced on a go-forward basis by a low pro-forma leverage profile and by the launch of a cost optimisation initiative as we look to right size the organisation while supporting long-term growth initiatives,” added Mr Chiara.
The company posted a net income attributable to shareholders of US$7 million for the third quarter, compared to US$94 million in the prior-year period.
IGT’s board declared a quarterly cash dividend of US$0.20 per common share, payable on December 10.
In September, IGT issued – via a subsidiary – EUR500 million (US$531.3 million currently) in senior secured notes, due in 2030. The proceeds were used to redeem the group’s 6.5-percent senior secured notes due in 2025, pay related fees and expenses, and to cover general corporate purposes.

The next generation of Australian surfing stars has had the door opened to the elite level with the World Surf League increasing the size of the women’s Championship Tour field for 2026.
Eight-time world champion Steph Gilmore and Olympian Sally Fitzgibbons were among those to champion the roster increase from 18 surfers to 24 for each event.
Fitzgibbons, who has fallen victim to the mid-season cut in the past three years, with the 18 surfers reduced to just 10 after the seventh event, said it was a “natural progression” as the women’s tour took a major step towards gender parity.
It’s still well short of the 36 male surfers at each event, but Fitzgibbons, a three-time world champion runner-up, said it was a positive change.
“I couldn’t be more proud of where the level of women’s surfing is currently at,” she said.
“Growing the tour is the next logical step in that natural progression. 
“All over the world, women are stepping it up every time they hit the water, and on tour we’re seeing intense heats and fierce rivalries.
“It’s what everyone wants to see. I’m so stoked that it’s happening.”
A decision is still to be made on whether the women’s mid-season cut will remain at just 10, which it will be reduced to in 2025 after the seventh tour stop in the 11-event schedule. 
The new format will include the top 14 surfers from the CT, the top seven qualifiers from the Challenger Series, two WSL seasonal wildcards, and one <a href="https://www.powerballsite.com/">파워볼</a> event wildcard that the WSL said would provide “more opportunities for women to compete at the highest level”.
Gilmore, who stepped away form the main tour in 2024 and is yet to commit to a return, said it showed the “future is bright”.
“This is great news. It’s a sign of the times and reflects the depth of talent within female surfing,” she said.
“I’m constantly amazed at the progression and the growing number of women participating in surfing around the world. The future is bright.” 
The move comes after the WSL introduced equal prize money ahead of the 2019 season.
“Today’s incredible progression is a tribute to the dedication of every generation,” WSL commissioner Jessi Miley-Dyer said in a statement.
“Visibility matters, and it’s exciting to think of the impact the field will have on inspiring future generations who see themselves in these athletes.”

One win does not make the UK tour a success and having experienced an epic fail against Argentina the week after a big away win, Wallabies playmaker Tate McDermott says “repeatability” is major focus ahead of this weekend’s clash with Wales.
Taking down England at Twickenham last weekend has opened the door for coach Joe Schmidt’s side to achieve something a Wallabies team hasn’t done for 40 years and win the grand slam with matches against Scotland and Ireland to follow.
Wales is enduring a horror 12-game losing streak, two of those defeats at the hands of the Wallabies earlier this year, ensuring the tourists go into the match as raging favourites.
But McDermott said a “flashback” to the tour of Argentina had given the Wallabies a clear reminder of their past inconsistency. 
After sneaking over the line for a one-point win over the Pumas in their opening match of that tour in September, the Wallabies were smashed 67-27 the following week.
That’s fresh in the minds of everyone in Wallabies camp, with no capacity to take their foot off the pedal.
“The group in general has a feeling that repeatability is the biggest thing for us to move forward and we’ve got to make sure (of that),” McDermott said.
“We’ve had a couple of good wins this year – flashback to Argentina where we knocked them off in the first game and a week later we’re a completely different team.
“Backing up the performance against the English is crucial for us. 
Despite taking down England, the 42-37 scoreline indicated the Wallabies would still need to significantly improve their defence to handle a <a href="https://www.totosafeguide.com/">스포츠토토사이트</a> Welsh side under pressure to perform in front of what looms as a raucous home crowd in Cardiff.
“We know that we conceded far too many points and quite often in Test matches, if you concede 37 points, you don’t win the game,” said the No.9, who came off the bench against England.
“We were skilful and composed enough in the end to get the win against England, but we know that the Welsh are going to be looking at how England scored those points and we’ve got to make sure we plug those holes pretty quickly.

Jeonnam defeated Seoul Eland 4-0 away from home in the final match of the 39th round of the Hana Bank K League 2 2024 at Mokdong Sports Complex Main Stadium at 2 p.m. on September 9th.

South Korea continued to struggle with finishing in the second half. In the 19th minute, Osmar floated a ball forward for Chae Kwang-hoon, who rushed forward, but his shot hit the side netting. Then, in the 26th minute, Lee Chang-Joon’s header from a corner kick went wide of the goal.
Lee Land continued to attack in an attempt to avoid a 0-0 draw, but Ryu Won-woo was able to make the save. In the 76th minute, Lee Jun-seok’s shot from a corner kick was saved by Ryu Won-woo. He then made a fine save on a shot by Chang Jun.
<a href="https://hashnode.com/@ccasinositezone1" title="">Jeonnam </a>scored the fourth goal on a fantastic mid-range shot by Park Tae-woong. In the 33rd minute of the second half, Park saw goalkeeper Moon Jung-in in front of him near the center circle and wasted no time in firing a shot. The ball sailed over the keeper’s height and into the net.
With their will to chase the game completely broken, Lee Land could not muster any more energy.
