중국 선수 간 대결로 관심을 끈 2024 파리올림픽 탁구 여자 단식 결승전에서 왜곡된 팬덤 문화 논란이 불거졌다.
지난 3일(현지시간) 사우스 파리 아레나에서 열린 파리 올림픽 탁구 여자 단식 결승전에서는 세계 랭킹 4위 천멍(중국·30)이 1위인 쑨잉사(24)를 4-2로 꺾고 금메달을 목에 걸었다.
천멍은 지난 도쿄 올림픽에 이어 2회 연속 단식 우승을 차지했다.
대결이 펼쳐지는 동안, 중국인 관중 대다수는 ‘쑨잉사’를 연호했다.
결승전에 오른 선수들 모두 자국 선수임에도 불구하고 특정 선수에게만 편향된 응원전을 펼친 것이다.

쑨잉사가 득점할 때마다 관중석은 함성으로 진동했지만, 반대로 천멍이 서브하거나 점수를 따내면 쑨잉사 팬들은 야유를 보내는가 하면 일부는 손가락으로 욕설까지 해 경기가 중단되기도 했다.
경기 종료 후 천멍이 금메달 시상대에 올라갈 때도 관중 상당수는 쑨잉사 이름을 외치기도 했다.
현장에 있던 봉황망 기자는 “프랑스 AFP 기자가 ‘왜 모두 이렇게 쑨잉사만 응원하고 천멍은 응원하지 않는가’라며 의문을 표하기도 했다”고 전했다.
봉황망에 따르면 중국 탁구 선수 팬들 사이에선 과열된 팬덤 문화가 나타나고 있다. 매체는 “쑨잉사가 우승했다면 433일 만에 중국 선수 중 가장 빠른 속도로 그랜드슬램을 달성하게 되고, ’00허우'(00後·2000년 이후 출생자)로는 첫 그랜드슬램이 된다”며 쑨잉사 팬들이 천멍을 견제하는 이유를 설명했다.
이날 광경은 중국 현지 탁구 팬들 사이에서도 논란을 빚었다. 웨이보(중국판 엑스) 등 사회관계망서비스에는 “천멍이 너무 힘들었다”, “모두 중국의 명예를 위해 싸우는 선수들인데 이렇게 야유하는 건가”, “‘사사'(쑨잉사의 애칭)는 좋은 선수지만 그의 팬은 너무 악성이다”라는 비판도 이어졌다.
싱가포르 매체 연합조보도 4일 이에 대해 “악성 팬덤 문화가 나타난 상황”이라고 꼬집으며 연예계 팬덤에서 자주 보인 현상이 스포츠계에까지 들어왔다는 분석을 내놨다.
중국 당국도 자국 스포츠 팬들의 기형적인 팬덤 문화를 경계하고 있다.

프랑스 파리 6개 매장 운영…빵 3만여개 제공
SPC그룹 파리바게뜨가 2024 파리 올림픽에서 좋은 경기력을 펼치며 메달을 획득한 대한민국 국가대표팀 선수들을 위해 축하케이크를 전달했다고 5일 밝혔다.
파리바게뜨는 밤낮으로 구슬땀을 흘리며 노력한 ‘팀코리아’에 현지 파리바게뜨 매장에서 직접 만든 케이크를 전달하며 응원과 격려를 전하고 있다.
파리바게뜨는 지난 5월 대한체육회와 팀코리와와 후원 협약을 체결, 제빵 프랜차이즈 부문 공식 스폰서로 선정됐다.
이후 올림픽 기간 파리 현지에 운영하는 6개 매장을 통해 베이커리 제품 3만여 개를 국가대표 선수단에 지원하고 있다.
앞서 올림픽 참가 중 생일을 맞은 근대 5종 국가대표 전웅태 선수에게도 생일 케이크를 전달한 바 있다.

이번 대회에 참석한 팀코리아 선수들은 당초 메달 목표치인 5개를 초과 달성하는 등 맹활약을 이어가고 있다.
양궁을 비롯해 펜싱과 사격, 유도 등 종목에서 대한민국 선수단이 메달을 목에 걸며 전 국민을 열광시켰다.
대한체육회 관계자는 “최상의 경기를 위해 노력하고 있는 선수들을 위해 적극적으로 지원해 주고 있는 파리바게뜨에 감사하다”며 “올림픽이 끝날 때까지 팀코리아의 선전을 위해 지속적인 관심과 응원을 부탁드린다”고 전했다.
파리바게뜨는 이번 올림픽 이후에도 2028년 예정된 LA 올림픽까지 꾸준히 대한민국 대표 선수단을 지원할 계획이다.
회사 관계자는 “대한민국 선수단의 자랑스러운 결실을 축하하고 격려하는 마음을 담아 케이크를 선물했다”며 “지난 5월 선수단 후원 협약식 당시 함께 해주셨던 선수들이 모두 메달을 획득해 더욱 신기하고 기쁘다.

OK 브리온의 이날 승리는 서머 2라운드부터 합류한 미드 라이너 ‘페이트’ 유수혁의 활약이 돋보였다.
1세트 르블랑을 선택한 유수혁은 KT 원거리 딜러 ‘데프트’ 김혁규의 이즈리얼을 집중 마크하며 상대의 캐리력을 억제했다.
중요한 한타마다 상대 딜러를 상대로 킬을 올리면서 팀의 승리를 이끌었다.

야구가 올림픽 정식 종목으로 선택받지 못하면서다.
국제올림픽위원회(IOC)는 이사회를 열고 야구·소프트볼, 가라테를 빼고 브레이크댄스를 추가한 2024년 파리 올림픽 32개 종목을 확정했다.
이로써 지난 2020 도쿄 올림픽에 12년 만에 복귀한 야구는 또 한번 IOC의 선택을 받지 못했다.
이번 대회에서는 올림픽 사상 처음으로 브레이크댄스가 종목으로 채택되며 관심을 받았다.
지난 도쿄 올림픽에 이어 서핑과 스케이트보드도 정식 종목이 됐다.
올림픽 정식 종목은 기본 28개 종목 외에 개최국 조직위원회가 요청한 최대 5개의 종목을 합해 결정된다.

Japan Cash Machine Co Ltd, also known as JCM Global, reported a net profit of JPY2.49 billion (US$16.2 million) in the six months to September 30, the group’s first financial half. Such profit was up 81.6 percent year-on-year, the firm said in an earnings report published recently.
JCM, a firm listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, makes machines that validate banknotes and handle currency, as well as manufacturing printers for casino gaming machines and other gaming hardware-related devices.
The company reported net sales of just above JPY21.25 billion for the April to September period, up 59.5 percent from a year earlier.
Operating income for the reporting period stood at nearly JPY3.76 billion, up 308.4 percent from the prior-year period.
Sales in the group’s global gaming business rose by 63.6 percent year-on-year in the six months to September 30, to JPY10.68 billion; and segment profit was just under JPY2.29 billion, up 112.6 percent from a year ago.
The improved performance was supported by an “increase in sales of bill validator units and printer units for casino gaming machines in North America and Europe,” stated the firm.
In a separate announcement, JCM said it decided to revise the dividend forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2025 to JPY26.0 per <a href="https://www.casinositewiki.com/">온라인카지노사이트</a> share, up from JPY14.
“In addition, our company will celebrate its 70th anniversary on January 11, 2025. To express our gratitude to our shareholders, we will implement a commemorative dividend of JPY10.0 per share,” said the company.

Combined with an interim dividend of JPY14.0 apiece, JCM will pay an aggregate dividend of JPY50.0 per share for the 12 months to March 31, 2025.

Macau’s 2025 casino gross gaming revenue (GGR) is forecast to reach MOP240 billion (US$29.9 billion), says the Office of the Chief Executive (CE), in the financial-year 2025 budget plan published on Thursday, and which has been submitted to the city’s Legislative Assembly.
That would be a 31.1 percent rise on the MOP183.06 billion achieved in 2023, the first year of trading since pandemic-related restrictions were lifted. It would be an 82.1-percent recovery rate compared to the MOP292.46 billion in the pre-pandemic trading year of 2019, as per data of the local regulator.
The 2025 budget plan estimates the Macau government will collect MOP84.0 billion in gaming taxes from the city’s six casino concessionaires for financial year 2025. That is calculated based only from the levy of the so-called “special gaming tax”, which stands at 35 percent of GGR for the current 10-year gaming concessions that started from January 1, 2023.
With other contributing levies for social causes, the effective tax on Macau casino GGR is 40 percent for the current concession term.
The budget plan is due to be discussed by a plenary session of the city’s assembly on Tuesday (November 19).
“It is estimated that the recovery momentum of the integrated tourism and leisure businesses for the next fiscal year [2025] will continue, <a href="https://www.casinositezone.com/">온라인카지노</a> with a continuous rise in inbound tourist volume, albeit their travel and consumption patterns may see changes,” the Office of the Chief Executive stated in its fiscal year 2025 budget plan.
“Integrated tourism and leisure businesses” is a term used by the authorities to indicate the casino resort sector.
The chief executive office added: “Considering all factors, the fiscal year 2025 gross gaming revenue is estimated to reach MOP240 billion. Such is the principal fiscal income that serves as a foundation for the Macau Special Administrative Government in formulating the fiscal year 2025 budget plan.”
Post the Covid-19 pandemic, Macau’s fiscal income had seen a “gradual recovery” since 2023, as economic improvement had been led by the integrated tourism and leisure sector, the document also mentioned.
For the whole of fiscal year 2024, the Macau government had forecast it would collect MOP75.6 billion in gaming taxes from the casino concessionaires, levied as special gaming tax, according to the 2024 budget plan.
The 2025 plan will be current Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng’s ultimate fiscal-year budget proposal before stepping down at the end of his five-year term.
Sam Hou Fai, most recently president of Macau’s Court of Final Appeal, the city’s most senior judicial position, is to succeed Mr Ho as the city’s leader, with a swearing-in ceremony to be held in December.

West Coast superstar Harley Reid has entered concussion protocols after taking a head knock at training on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old, who played 20 games in his debut season with the Eagles, lit up the AFL in 2024 and quickly showed he is a key pillar in the rebuilding West Coast side.

The No. 1 pick in the 2023 AFL Draft met with the club doctor after the incident and will be doing non-contact training next week.
“Harley received a minor head knock during training and we took precautionary measures,” West Coast football manager Gavin Bell said in a club statement.
“I’ve spoken to him today and so has the club doctor.
“He is doing well, but as he has entered the AFL concussion protocols he will be in non-contact training when he resumes next week.” 
The tough, athletic midfielder impressed all footy fans in his debut season, showing an ability to explode out of the middle and kick long goals on the run.
He also took some outstanding hangers to give suffering West Coast fans hope of a promising future. 
Fans reacted on social media, with many keen to know who had been responsible for the knock to their prized asset.
“Who is concussing our most important player day 2 of pre season?” was one comment on X.
“Time to put the helmet on for life,” suggested another.
“Whoever did it is getting delisted immediately,” quipped a third.
Last month, Reid opened up on his whirlwind debut season, revealing he found it “pretty hard” dealing with relentless pressure in the social <a href="https://www.powerballsite.com/">파워볼</a> media age.
The teenager claimed the Goal of the Year award after his effort at Perth’s Optus Stadium against the Demons.
He burst out of the middle, fended off two players before slotting a goal from just inside 50. Reid received $50,000 from NAB as part of the award. 
As his profile soared, Reid was also featured on the back page of the West Australian newspaper virtually every day at one point of the year, such was the scrutiny on the young midfielder.
The teenager from country Victoria is contracted through to the end of 2027 but with West Coast finishing 17th, 18th and 16th in the past three seasons, there was talk the Eagles would need to improve and soon pay Reid a fortune to keep him in Perth.
Adding to the rollercoaster year was the mid-season sacking of Eagles premiership coach Adam Simpson, who has been replaced by Andrew McQualter.
“It was pretty hard at times, I feel,” Reid said at an event as a Caulfield Cup Carnival racing ambassador.
“For me, I tried to do all I could with my footy and let my footy do the talking, but it’s pretty hard. 
“Ninety-five per cent of it’s mental and I think if you can win the mental game and go out there feeling confident, the best part is, when you’re out there, you’ve got no worry in the world and you’re doing what you love, and you feel that why you’re here is what you’re doing right out there.
“That was kind of what I tried to have in my mind and go out there and have fun.”
Reid, who stepped out with his partner Yasmin Duursma at the Brownlow Medal, said intense social media scrutiny was part and parcel of being a high profile Gen Z athlete. 
“I think, my generation, a lot of it’s social media and, these days, it’s all on social media,” he said.
“So, I think that was something that was very hard to control and came with a lot of pros and cons, I guess,” Reid said.

Nick Kyrgios says he’s feeling the best he has “in two years” with confirmation he’ll go back to the tournament he won in 2018 in Brisbane to kickstart his return to competitive tennis.
The former Wimbledon finalist will be the headline act at the Brisbane International in December, returning to the court after playing only one tour match in more than two years.
The 29-year-old has been sidelined with several injuries, including a career-threatening wrist issue and a knee complaint since the 2022 US Open quarter-finals, a setback that came just six weeks after reaching the Wimbledon decider when he lost in four sets to Novak Djokovic.
Kyrgios, who had signalled his desire to play in the Australian Open, will also play in the World Tennis League exhibition event in Abu <a href="https://www.totosafeguide.com/">스포츠토토사이트</a> Dhabi before heading to Brisbane, feeling confident in his body.
“Honestly, this is probably the best I’ve felt in two years,” he told 9News. 
“I played that amazing year in 2022. Then at the finals in Wimbledon and US Open, that’s when I started feeling some issues in my wrist. I had that wrist reconstruction and now I’m feeling amazing.
“It was a 15 miracle per cent chance that I was going to get back to playing at this level and here we are.
“To get back out there in front of the home fans is going to be sick.”
Kyrgios, who was ranked as high as 13 in the world, is unranked and could need a wildcard to get into the Australian Open, which he last played in 2022.

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Ulsan Hyundai Mobis snapped Daegu KOGAS’ eight-game winning streak behind Lee Woo-seok’s game-winning three-pointer.
The Hyundai Mobis defeated the KCC 67-64 on Tuesday at Daegu Gymnasium in an away game of the 2024-2025 KCC Pro Basketball Regular Season. The fiercely contested game was decided by Lee Woo-seok’s three-pointer that penetrated the rim just before the end of the game.
KOGAS, which had won seven straight games in the previous game, the longest winning streak in the franchise’s history, was unable to overcome Hyundai Mobis’ late surge to add to its record. KOGAS jumped out to a 23-7 lead in the first quarter, led by Andrew Nicholson’s three-pointer. KOGAS continued its momentum in the second quarter and led by 15 points at the half and looked to be comfortably on its way to its eighth straight win, but Hyundai Mobis came out firing in the second half.
Hyundai Mobis started its comeback in the third quarter with a strong under-the-basket play by Gage Prim. After gradually reducing the gap, Hyundai Mobis pulled within five points, 44-49, with 30 seconds left in the quarter, thanks to a spectacular alley-oop dunk by Sean Long following a pass from Ham Ji-hoon.

The teams traded baskets to tie the game at 64-64, but Lee’s step-back three-pointer from the left side with 1.4 seconds left in regulation went through the rim to seal the deal.
Prim scored a game-high 23 points for both teams, while Lee Woo-seok, who hit the game-winning 3-pointer, was backed by a 10-6 rebounding advantage. Andrew Nicholson added 21 points for KOGAS.
At Wonju Gymnasium, home team Wonju DB defeated Changwon LG 73-51 to snap a seven-game losing streak and move from 10th place to a tie for ninth with Seoul Samsung (2-7). Chinanu Onuaku with 29 points and eight rebounds and Kang Sang-jae with a “double-double” of 15 points and 16 rebounds led DB to victory. LG, which has lost six straight games after an opening three-game winning streak, remained in eighth place.
At the Jamsil Student Gymnasium, Seoul SK extended its winning streak to three games with a 91-71 victory over <a href="https://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/ttotosafeguide1" title="">Goyang Sono</a>. SK, the league’s fastest offense, scored 16 points off fast break points. SK’s Jamil Warney recorded his second straight triple-double with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 13 assists.
