여자 복싱 66㎏급 4강 진출 알제리 최초 ‘여자복싱 메달리스트’ 바흐 위원장 “인간으로 존중해달라”
2024 파리 올림픽 여자 복싱에서 ‘성별 논란’이 불거진 이마네 칼리프(26·알제리)가 66㎏급 준결승에 진출하며 동메달을 확보했다.
칼리프는 4일(한국시간) 프랑스 파리의 사우스 파리 아레나에서 열린 파리 올림픽 여자 복싱 66㎏급 8강전에서 헝가리의 언너 루처 허모리에게 5-0(29-26 29-27 29-27 29-27 29-27) 판정승을 거뒀다.
올림픽 복싱은 동메달 결정전을 따로 치르지 않고 준결승에서 패한 선수에게 모두 동메달을 준다.
준결승에 오른 칼리프는 최소 동메달을 확보해 이번 파리 대회에 참가한 알제리 선수단에 첫 번째 메달을 선사했다.
칼리프는 또 2012년 런던 대회부터 도입된 올림픽 여자 복싱에서 알제리 최초의 메달리스트로도 이름을 남기게 됐다.

하지만 체급을 올려 나선 두 번째 올림픽 무대에서 메달을 확보하게 됐다.
준결승에 진출한 칼리프는 태국의 잔자엠 수완나펭과 한국시간 7일 준결승전을 치른다.
칼리프가 동메달을 목에 걸기까지의 여정은 쉽지 않았다.
이번 대회에서 대만의 여자복서 린위팅과 함께 성별 논란의 중심에 선 것.
두 선수는 지난해 세계선수권대회에서 ‘생물학적 남성’이라는 이유로 국제복싱협회(IBA)로부터 실격 처분을 받았다.
당시 우마르 클레믈레프 IBA 회장은 칼리프와 린위팅이 일반적으로 남성을 의미하는 ‘XY 염색체’를 가졌다고 주장하며 두 선수의 실격을 강행했고, 칼리프는 결승전을 앞두고 짐을 싸야 했다.
하지만 국제올림픽위원회(IOC)는 염색체만으로 성별을 결정할 수 없고, 규정에 따라 출전 자격을 따낸 만큼 칼리프와 린위팅의 이번 파리 올림픽 출전에 문제가 없다고 확인했다.
이날 토마스 바흐 IOC 위원장은 이 문제를 촉발한 국제복싱협회(IBA)를 비판하며 “두 선수는 2024 파리 올림픽에 출전할 권리를 가진 여성”이라고 선을 그었다.
이어 “여자로 태어나 여자로 자랐으며, 여권에도 여자로 나와 있다.
오랫동안 여자로 경쟁해 온 두 선수는 명확하게 여자 선수라고 정의할 수 있다”고 덧붙였다.

동메달은 놓쳤지만 ‘패자의 품격’을 보여준 탁구 대표팀 에이스 신유빈(20·대한항공)이 훌륭한 경기 매너로 일본 팬들로부터 찬사를 받고 있다.
4일 일본의 스포츠 전문 매체 데일리 스포츠는 전날 프랑스의 사우스 파리 아레나4에서 열린 파리 올림픽 탁구 여자 단식 동메달 결정전을 언급하며 신유빈의 스포츠맨십에 대해 조명했다.
이 경기에서 신유빈은 일본 하야타 히나(5위·일본)에게 2-4(11-9 11-13 10-12 7-11 12-10 7-11)로 패했다.
이날 전까지 하야타와의 상대 전적에서 4전 전패로 밀렸던 신유빈은 다섯 번째 대결에서도 승리하지 못했다.
그런데도 신유빈은 경기가 끝나자마자, 동메달을 딴 하야타에게 밝은 표정으로 축하 인사를 했다.
이어 일본팀 감독에게도 예우를 갖추며 축하의 뜻을 전했고, 코트를 한 바퀴 돌면서 관중들에게 ‘꾸벅’ 인사도 했다.

이외에도 일본 팬들은 “패자의 품격을 보여준 선수다” “앞으로도 응원하고 싶은 선수” “매너가 좋다” 등의 반응을 보이며 신유빈을 칭찬했다.
앞서 일본 팬들은 경기 휴식 때마다 바나나와 에너지 젤리 등 음식을 먹는 신유빈의 모습을 보고 “귀엽다”는 칭찬을 쏟아낸 바 있다.
한국 팬들이 붙여준 ‘삐약이’라는 별칭을 부르며 팬심을 드러내는 이들도 있었다.
신유빈은 경기가 끝난 뒤 기자회견을 통해서도 하야타의 승리를 축하했다.
그는 “하야타를 오랫동안 봐 왔다.
정말 열심히 노력하고 간절하게 경기했다”며 “그런 부분을 인정해주고 싶었다.
나도 더 단단한 선수가 되고 싶은 마음을 담아서 축하 인사를 했다”고 어른스럽게 말했다.
한편 신유빈은 오는 5일부터 시작하는 여자 단체전에서 메달 획득에 도전한다.
한국 여자 대표팀은 6일 오전에 브라질과 단체전 첫 경기를 치른다.

최종 합계 14언더파 274타를 적어낸 윤이나는 방신실, 강채연, 박혜준 등 공동 2위 그룹을 2타 차로 따돌리고 우승 트로피를 들어 올렸다.

The date on the deal was assuming “timely satisfaction of necessary closing conditions,” said Everi Holdings in a Thursday statement following the vote that day at a special meeting of existing Everi Holdings stockholders.
The meeting saw 99.88 percent of the shares that were voted, being in favour. The votes cast, represented 71.48 percent of the total outstanding shares of Everi common stock as of October 3.
Under the merger agreement, Everi Holdings stockholders will receive US$14.25 per share in cash for every share of common stock in the existing Everi entity they <a href="https://www.casinositewiki.com/">온라인카지노사이트</a> own as of the date immediately prior to the merger.
It has been described previously as a US$6.3-billion deal on a combined basis.

Deutsche Bank analyst Carlo Santarelli gave an overview of the three months to September 30, now that all the market participants have reported their quarterly data.

Segmental split on the operator figures can vary from how the local regulator, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, measures such information, based on the latter’s definition of table classifications.
Based on the bank’s tabulation, for the third quarter, SJM Holdings had a market share of 14.1 percent of GGR, up from 12.7 percent in the second quarter. In U.S. dollar terms, the company reported GGR up circa 8.7 percent quarter-on-quarter, at US$967 million.
Wynn Macau Ltd was up a single basis point sequentially, to a 12.8 percent share, but down 0.8 percent in actual GGR, to US$880 million.
The biggest GGR share loser quarter-on-quarter was MGM China Holdings Ltd, down 1.3 percentage points, to 14.8 percent, or just under US$1.02 billion. The Gold Coast Suns have unveiled their new logo and guernsey, and it’s safe to say the reaction has been mixed.
The expansion AFL club teased the rebrand earlier this week before finally unveiling their new look on Thursday night.

According to the Suns, the new logo design “features three key elements – the sun of the Gold Coast rising over the ocean, a bold ‘S’ representing the SUNS, and a football at the logo’s heart.
“The logo also includes subtle shapes of a ‘G’ and ‘C’ hidden within the design, nodding to the club’s history and original logo.”
Gold Coast’s new look is part of the club’s “fearless” campaign.
But it was the new red guernsey that divided opinion, given the new logo is barely distinguishable on the jumper itself.
New recruits John Noble, Daniel Rioli and million dollar utility Mac Andrew modelled the new red home jumper and the away strip — a muted yellow and blue number. 
Fox Footy’s Max Laughton said on X: “This ain’t it. Red on red???”
Broadcaster Adam White posted: “These look like solid new training jumpers. When do the Suns release their actual playing jumper?”
The sportsindustry account on X posted: “That red <a href="https://www.totosafeguide.com/">스포츠토토사이트</a> jumper is awful. Like they’ve stuck a temporary logo over the old one. Yellow jumper looks like it could be an eagles training top. Both underwhelming.”
One fan said the jersey looked like “just a red shirt” and another quipped “you can’t even see the logo properly wtf.” 
One savage fan said the new red jersey “looks like the logo of some limited edition Gatorade flavour”.
A second said: “Can’t wait to watch Red team VS Orange team.”
A third said: “Yeah red on red doesn’t work gold coast.”
A fourth added: “We don’t need a 19th team, tassie can replace these guys.”
Another commented: “Never thought I’d say it but.. their old logo and guernsey was better.” 
Suns chief executive Mark Evans said the logo reveal was the first step in refreshing the club’s brand identity.
“We knew after 15 years with the same brand that it was time to update our look and feel to better represent how we have evolved and matured as a football club,” Evans said.
“Our new logo is modern, bold and innovative, with layers of context which speak to our history and purpose.
