175. <p>We got lucky and a lot of hard work paid off. At first, we started talking to footballers on social media asking them if they wanted to be part of the online hype. It snowballed and we started getting tweets from England football players like former England striker Michael Owen who had over 3 million followers on Twitter at the time. After that we couldn’t keep up, there was a chain reaction and the brand started trending amongst footballers at all kinds of levels. Because of the hype and the quality of the products, the pro’s really bought into it and players like Harry Winks from Tottenham sent over their “selfies” holding their favourite flavour. Not long after taking off with Premier League customers, we officially then signed Liverpool F.C. number one goalkeeper <a href="https://www.hairbond.com/news/scott-michaels-football-agent-signs-simon-mignolet/">Simon Mignolet </a>as the brands first footballer Hairbond Ambassador after England Cricketer <a href="https://www.hairbond.com/news/jimmy-anderson-cricketer-face-of-hairbond/">Jimmy Anderson</a> had signed as the brands first sporting ambassador the year before. This took us to the next level.</p>

472. <p>As I said before, both products are actually quite similar. They both contain ingredients that are not bad for your hair and they pretty much do the same thing. They both have a matte finish and a strong hold. The Cavalier Clay is clearly the underdog in this case given Hanz De Fuko&#8217;s reputation.</p>

480. <p>Not relevant at all for some and for others the smell of the product is the deciding factor. Now it is true in some cases that a clay often has less odor than, for example, a <a href="https://ukhairbrands.com/2020/08/14/the-history-of-the-pomade/">pomade</a>.</p>

484. <p>This also applies to these two products. The Claymation doesn&#8217;t actually smell at all. The Cavalier clay, on the other hand, smells slightly like vanilla. A nice smell. </p>

496. <p>Cheap hair clays can be super hard to work through the hands and even into the hair, and when you get them into your hair they don&#8217;t work or there&#8217;s just no performance. </p>

Not the easiest though, I don&#8217;t think anything has ever come close to the <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://ukhairbrands.com/product/hairbond-united-kingdom-professional-hair-styling-100ml-distorter/" target="_blank">Hairbond Distorter</a> for that matter. </p>

504. <p>The Cavalier and the Claymation both feel a little oily which for some might make it pleasant to apply, but for me oily is not good. The Cavalier clay just needs a little more work to get into your hair. The Claymation feels a little more oily but it does contain more water and is easy to distribute in the hair. Therefore the Claymation wins the application test.</p>
