40.
Thank you Red river, coming from County I had can delivered next day and trash picked up this morning. I was ecstatic. I haven’t seen a trash pick up in 5 weeks now I ran to go see!

 41.
– Kristina Gilbert Rutherford County

 42.
Excellent service! My trash is always picked up, unlike several of my neighbors who have had their trash cans out full for several weeks now. Ive always been one to do my research and not just follow along. Red River is reliable.

 43.
– Betty Parks Smyrna

 44.
Switched over from County Disposal. Delivered their trash can the next day. Even serviced the old can. So far, I’m thankful & impressed (plus the rate is cheaper than Countys) –

 45.
– Nichole Brown Rutherford County

 46.
The young men who service my route in Bellevue are always efficient and do an excellent job, but more importantly they are always kind, thoughtful and friendly! They never hesitate to greet me with a smile and a wave if I’m outside and have even gone above and beyond what their job requires. A couple of times I have forgotten to put out my garbage containers on trash day and instead of passing us by, they retrieved the container from beside my house so we wouldn’t have to wait another week to have my garbage picked up. I wouldn’t hesitate to give this company my highest rating and I’d happily recommend them to anyone. Also, what little dealings I’ve had with the office staff has also been very pleasant & professional, so it seems this company really aims to please in all aspects of their business.

 52.
When the city decided to partner with Red River our largest concern was the difficulties in transiting, Red River worked hand in hand with us making the process painless for the city and our residents.

 74.

 75.
When most people think about solid waste management, they think about garbage being dumped in landfills or incinerated. A variety of elements is involved in the creation of an optimal integrated solid waste management (ISWM) system. For example, treatment techniques act to reduce the volume and toxicity of solid waste, transforming it into a more convenient form for disposal. Waste treatment and disposal methods are selected and used based on the form, composition, and quantity of waste materials.

 76.
Here are major waste treatment and disposal methods:

 77.
Thermal Treatment

 78.
Thermal waste treatment refers to the processes that use heat to treat waste materials. Following are some of the most commonly used thermal waste treatment techniques:

 79.

 80.
Incineration is one of the most common waste treatments. This approach involves the combustion of waste material in the presence of oxygen. The combustion process converts wastes into ash, flue, gas, water vapor, and carbon dioxide. This thermal treatment method is commonly used as a means of recovering energy for electricity or heating. This approach has several advantages. It quickly reduces waste volume, lessens transportation costs and decreases harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

 81.
Gasification and Pyrolysis are two similar methods, both of which decompose organic waste materials by exposing waste to low amounts of oxygen and very high temperature. Pyrolysis uses absolutely no oxygen while gasification allows a very low amount of oxygen in the process. Gasification is more advantageous as it allows the burning process recover energy without causing air pollution.

 82.

 83.

 84.
Open Burning is a legacy thermal waste treatment that is environmentally harmful. The incinerators used in such process have no pollution control devices. They release substances such as hexachlorobenzene, dioxins, carbon monoxide, particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, polycyclic aromatic compounds, and ash. Unfortunately, this method is still practiced by many local authorities internationally, as it offers an inexpensive solution to solid waste.

 85.

 86.
Dumps and Landfills

 87.
Sanitary landfills provide the most commonly used waste disposal solution. These landfills are desired to eliminate or reduce the risk of environmental or public health hazards due to waste disposal. These sites are situated where land features work as natural buffers between the environment and the landfill. For instance, the landfill area can be comprised of clay soil which is quite resistant to hazardous wastes or is characterized by an absence of surface water bodies or a low water table, preventing the risk of water pollution. The use of sanitary landfills presents the least health and environmental risk, but the cost of establishing such landfills is comparatively higher than other waste disposal methods.

 88.
Controlled dumps are more or less the same as sanitary landfills. These dumps comply with many of the requirements for being a sanitary landfill but may lack one or two. Such dumps may have a well-planned capacity but no cell-planning. There may be no or partial gas management, basic record keeping, or regular cover.

 231.

 232.
The kitchen should be clean and orderly in everything – and perhaps most importantly in the storage of waste. For this reason, the choice of a bucket into which a wide variety of garbage will be sent must take into account many characteristics. Then it will be both convenient and durable.

 233.
If the desired type of container is selected, evaluate its design and important features of SONGMICS buckets.

 234.
Bucket volume

 235.
The range of sizes is huge: from 1-2 to 40 or more liters. The smaller the bucket, the more often you take it out. But if you do too much, there is a risk that food waste will spoil. Look for a middle ground: it is believed that one family member needs 5-10 liters of volume.

 236.

 237.
Material

 238.
Plastic is affordable, lightweight and offers a wide range of colors. Regular or stainless steel is more expensive, heavier and limited in decor, but stronger and more reliable. The optimal solution: a combination where the removable inner part is plastic and the outer part is metal.

 239.
Lid

 240.
In addition to simple, manually removed lids, which are neither convenient nor hygienic, we note a couple of automated models. So, kitchen trash can with a foot pedal for opening them is convenient, but it cannot be placed in a cabinet – it is strictly floor-standing. And models with a touch cover are practical, but expensive and require regular cleaning of the infrared sensor and replacement of batteries.

 243.
The best trash can for the kitchen is a practical bin. Although, if desired, it can be very attractive and stylish. For example, you can find a box with a photographic print or in white – exactly to match the same white kitchen set.

 256.

The imperative need to reduce the carbon footprint of businesses is paramount in a sustainability-focused world. At the heart of this transformation lies waste management, a critical yet often intricate aspect. This in-depth exploration will focus on three essential facets to guide businesses towards more sustainable waste management.

 257.
As companies embark on the quest for sustainability, waste management emerges as an unavoidable priority. This article delves into the challenges, innovative solutions, and the impact of translation in this domain, providing a practical roadmap for a reduced carbon footprint.

 258.
Practical Challenges in Corporate Waste Management

 259.
The first step is to demystify the specific challenges that businesses face in their day-to-day waste management. From complex waste streams to the need to adapt to ever-changing regulations, this section provides a comprehensive insight into practical obstacles that demand tangible solutions.

 260.

Photo by Gary Chan on Unsplash

 261.
From the diversity of generated waste to continually evolving regulatory constraints, corporate waste management is a complex terrain. Understanding these challenges is crucial for developing effective strategies.

 262.
Innovative Strategies: The Power of Transformation

 263.
The second stage explores real-world examples of companies that have successfully transformed their approaches to waste management, thereby achieving significant reductions in their carbon footprint. Innovative strategies such as source reduction, creative recycling, and the adoption of sustainable materials are highlighted to inspire other companies to follow suit.

 264.
Pioneering companies have demonstrated that waste management can be a source of innovation. By embracing bold strategies, they showcase that it is possible to reduce the carbon footprint while remaining economically viable.

 265.
Translation and Multilingual Communication: Catalysts for Global Change

 266.
The third section explores the often underestimated role of translation in waste management. By facilitating transparent and multilingual communication, translation becomes a catalyst for the global dissemination of best practices, as seen with companies like https://belfast-translations.uk. Concrete examples illustrate how effective communication can overcome linguistic barriers and expedite the adoption of sustainable practices.

 267.

Photo by Marek Piwnicki on Unsplash

 268.
Translation is not merely a linguistic necessity but a powerful tool to make waste management initiatives accessible to a global audience. This often overlooked aspect plays a crucial role in the overall transformation towards more sustainable waste management.

 269.
In conclusion, reducing the carbon footprint of businesses in waste management is a complex yet necessary journey. By understanding practical challenges, drawing inspiration from success stories, and acknowledging the vital role of translation, companies can undertake a significant shift towards more sustainable waste management. It is not just a social responsibility but also an essential strategy for a future where sustainability is at the core of every thriving business.

 331.
Serving Montgomery County, Stewart County and Fort Campbell

 332.
Montgomery County and Stewart County formed a Solid Waste Authority in 1974. This foresight has lead to one of the best-run facilities in the United States. Known worldwide, Bi-County continues to operate a Class I Landfill, and two construction and demolition, Class III landfills. Bi-County was the first government run landfill in Tennessee to meet the Subtitle D regulations for solid waste.

 333.
David Graham became the new Director of the Bi-County Landfill on January 3, 2017. A seven member board governs the Bi-County Solid Waste Management System. Jay Albertia is the current Chairman of the Board.

 334.
The Bi-County Landfill, located off Dover Road, is where all trash is taken for Montgomery and Stewart Counties. Landfills are complex organizations required to meet challenging regulations that minimize negative effects on the environment’s air, land, and water.

 335.
In addition to meeting federal and state environmental regulations, Bi-County is also charged with increasing the amount of recycling taken in each year. We ask that you help us increase the life of our landfill by recycling at your organization and where you live. Beyond that we ask you, along with us, to reduce that amount of trash you generate. It is our pleasure to serve the people of Montgomery and Stewart County by providing you with a place for the proper disposal of your trash.

 336.
WASTE TIRE DISPOSAL

 337.
Due to Tire Grant Requirements Bi-County Solid Waste now requires PRIVATE Individuals to provide the following information when disposing of Waste Tires.
