54.
 55.
“I would do this challenge again in a heartbeat. Everyone needs a starting point or for me, a refresher. The challenge has made me feel like I can do this thing. I decided last week to focus only on working on my dividend portfolio for the next six months. It has given me tools on how to focus more on my goals.” Sharon N.

 59.
“I think that this challenge is especially helpful for those who are looking to get started. There is enough information to interest someone who is just beginning without overwhelming them with terminologies and busy work. The tasks are clear and concise. The overall time commitment is short and the replay options are very helpful.” Aria W.

 60.
 61.
 62.
 63.
“Something I took away from the challenge is to continue to change my mindset. More importantly, I focused on changing my actions. I am reminded to set specific goals that will lead me to manifesting my vision. I feel motivated to take action after doing this challenge and would definitely do it again because I’m also passionate about investing. I just love being financially free and seeing others do the same.” Amanda W.

 221.
As the world shifted towards becoming a more cashless and digital society over the last two years, credit card fraud started to increase as well. The United States alone suffered an estimated loss of over $11 billion from these transactions. Merchant Risk Council CEO Julie Fergerson explains that this number will only continue to grow in the next two or three years.

It has become even more important to be able to protect yourself from falling victim to crimes associated with credit card fraud. Although Time.com notes that women are more responsible than men when it comes to using this payment method, knowing what security risks to look out for and which measures to take will greatly increase your financial safety and prevent you from experiencing fraudulent transactions. When kept safely and used correctly, credit cards can be extremely beneficial since they can build credit scores, be used anywhere, and earn rewards. They are essential for every woman who wants to take charge of their finances.

 222.
 223.
 224.
 225.
Top security risks

 226.
 227.
 228.
 229.

POS Skimming
One of the main credit card security risks is the possibility of POS (point of sales) skimming. This is when your card is swiped or inserted into a payment terminal or POS that then ‘skims’ or copies all your information– even the data on your chip. While this can happen accidentally, especially with out-of-date systems, some criminals will use this to steal your information and make fraudulent charges.

Data breaches
Security risk can also boil down to your financial provider. Another way your information can be accessed is through a data breach on a bank’s end. Once their system has been hacked, thieves will gain access to your personal information and card details. This is brought on by a lack of security measures on their end and is highly preventable.

Human error
Lastly, security risks can also come from human error. If you leave your card unattended or end up sharing its information online, there is a chance that someone will use your data to make unauthorized purchases. While it is a retailer’s job to ensure that the buyer and card owner is the same person, security measures aren’t as strict– leaving you vulnerable.

Fraudulent card transactions can affect you in many ways. It can greatly impact your credit score, making it difficult to secure loans with low-interest rates. With women already having a lower average credit limit in comparison to men, as reported by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, this just adds more issues and leaves you with lesser financial security. It is important for you to take the right steps in making yourself less susceptible to these security risks.

 230.
 231.
 232.
 233.
How to avoid them

 234.
 235.
 236.
 237.

Choose trusted providers
Getting a card from a trusted provider ensures that the institution you’re partnering with is taking precautions in keeping all of their client’s information safe. The Chase Sapphire Card for example is a great option for financially conscious women since the institution doesn’t only ensure security but also rewards frequent users through points. Getting a card from a trusted provider is one of the best ways to ensure your safety as a credit card user.

Keep security details confidential
You should make it a habit to never divulge your card’s details. Your card number, name, and expiry date are some of the things you should keep secret. Most importantly, you should also keep your card verification value (CVV) confidential. AskMoney.com details that your CVV is the number used to verify that it is you making the transaction when a physical card can’t be presented. A common example of this is an online payment. Keeping this extra layer of protection confidential will help prevent you from exposing your security details and enabling others to use your information without your knowledge.

Only shop from established retailers
Since retailers also have a hand in unknowingly or willingly abetting credit card fraud from happening, it is important that you only shop at establishments you know are safe. Big online platforms like Amazon make it a point to guarantee user safety. If you are unsure whether or not a store is reliable, try checking reviews from other people. If there have been previous complaints about credit card information becoming public, you should avoid them altogether. While this may seem like a small precaution, any form of safety is better than none.

 277.
I’m holding a FREE Live Online Training called 4 Easy Things You Can Do To Earn More Dividend Income this Sunday, February 20th at 7PM EST. Register here.

 278.
 279.
 280.
 281.
The idea of earning passive income from dividends is not new. Warren Buffett has been receiving dividends for decades. He earns over $700 million annually in dividends from Apple alone. That’s more than Apple CEO Tim Cook earned in 2021. Cook’s total compensation was $98.73 million, according to documents filed with the SEC.

 282.
 283.
 284.
 285.
It’s possible to earn dividends from companies all over the world. In fact, I’m still earning dividends from my old job. It’s the paycheck that keeps on paying!

 286.
 287.
 288.
 289.
If you haven’t been earning dividends or consistently growing your portfolio, you need to attend this training. For years, I’ve been lucky enough to help people create an extra stream of income while they sleep. I’ve even had a chance to share my insights with Black Enterprise, Motley Fool, Investopedia, American Express, Huffington Post, and countless of other publications. And I’ve got to tell you…it’s a great feeling when you know you’ve made a difference in someone’s life.

 290.
 291.
 292.
 293.
But I know, for every person I’m able to help, millions more are all alone, trying to figure out how to:

 294.
 295.
 296.
 297.

Get checks in the mail and deposits in their account without lifting a finger

Live life on their terms without worrying about their next paycheck

Work whenever they want and wherever they want…yes, this is possible!

 298.
 299.
 300.
 301.
That’s why I created an amazing new online training. I hope to see you there!

 302.
 303.
 304.
 305.
P.S. If you want to get a head start on how dividends work, check out Dividends Are a Queen’s Best Friend on Amazon. You’ll also get to learn a bit more about me and how dividends can transform your life.

 306.
 307.
 308.
 309.
It’s all about the mindset. Once you take control over your mind, there is nothing you won’t be able to accomplish. You deserve a life of dividends. Let’s get it!

 357.
 358.
Are credit cards good or bad? It depends on who you ask. If you’re in credit card debt and paying hundreds of dollars in interest every month, you probably aren’t too fond of the plastic. But if you make money from credit cards every month and use the rewards to travel for free, you’re probably in love.

I can also shop with my rewards, get gift cards, transfer funds to another account, or use my rewards to cover recent purchases. It’s amazing! I’m still within my 15-month period so I don’t even know what interest looks like. But because I am committed to maintaining a good credit score, I try to always pay my bill in full every month.

It’s a stock index benchmark that was created in the late 1800s by journalist Charles Dow. The DOW includes some of the most stable, influential, and established companies in the market. 588.
 589.
FDIC insurance protects bank customers in case a financial institution fails and SIPC protects brokerage firm customers in case of bankruptcy or failure. Check with your brokerage account to see if your assets are covered under SIPC or FDIC.

 597.
FDIC insurance covers up to $250,000 per depositor for all types of deposits received at an FDIC insured bank, including deposits in the following accounts:

 609.
Here’s How the Core Position Works in your Fidelity Account

 610.
 611.
 612.
 613.
Let’s say you contribute $4,000 to your Roth IRA account. You use $3,000 to invest in stocks. That means you have $1,000 uninvested cash.

 615.
 616.
 617.
This uninvested cash will remain in a core position that is automatically established when you sign up for a Fidelity account. The core position will be used for processing cash transactions, buying securities in your portfolio, and holding uninvested cash.

 619.
 620.
 621.
Let’s say you sell $2,000 worth of stock in your portfolio. The $2,000 will be deposited in your core position.
