Designed to operate autonomously in the vacuum of space, OASIS functions as a self-sustaining refinery, producing and storing antimatter in modular pods ready for spacecraft retrieval. It represents a breakthrough in off-world energy infrastructure and a critical step toward sustainable deep space exploration.

By leveraging the Venturi effect and natural geography, AirDam transforms chaotic wind into a controlled energy source, with minimal environmental impact and maximum adaptability. It’s a smarter, more elegant way to work with nature, not against it.

Designed to protect against solar flares, EMPs, and cosmic radiation, Skycage also shapes solar wind, preserves atmospheric stability, and supports space traffic and energy management. Unlike weapons-based systems, it’s peaceful, adaptive, and resilient—a smart, electromagnetic shield that listens, responds, and safeguards Earth like a soft armor. Skycage reimagines planetary protection as a living, evolving infrastructure designed for harmony with both Earth and space.

This high-altitude biosphere may serve as Earth’s natural failsafe, containing ancient spores and extremophile microbes capable of surviving global catastrophes and potentially reseeding life. With growing evidence of active biology above 30 km, the initiative seeks to develop aerial probes and scientific tools to map, decode, and preserve this fragile ecosystem. More than a research mission, it reframes the sky as Earth’s highest biome—silent, drifting, and vital to the planet’s resilience.

Floating platforms anchored to heavy underwater masses are lifted by the tides, storing potential energy that can be released to generate electricity when needed. Unlike solar or wind, Tideforge offers predictable, mechanical resilience with minimal ecological impact. It's not a battery or a dam—it's a durable, rhythm-powered vault aligned with the cycles of the Earth and Moon, providing clean, scalable energy wherever the sea touches land.

One use would be to make sure upstream caches cache any request on an api server, as 404's are not cached.

 373.

I really really wanted to run the latest MariaDB with LZ4 Page Compression.. it is a game changer for many types of large databases I deal with. So I compiled it manually in a way that is repeatable and follows best-practices and it's now powering this site. Now I can use InnoDB Page Compression with lzo, lzma, bzip2, snappy, or my favorite algorithm: LZ4.

 375.
Thought this would be a good chance to post a howto, and show that there is a lot you can do by compiling software yourself and breaking the package management one-click install shackles.
