52. <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Can you tell me what motivated you to write a ‘Black Women Always: Conversations on life, culture &amp; creativity’?</strong></p>
53. <p style="text-align: justify;">The book was always going to be a exploration of my creativity. So naturally it started with thinking about what I have done and learned, which lead to me thinking about what kind of tools, or maybe what representation I needed when I started &#8211; is a better way to say it. I thought about who had helped me, and pushed me the most and it was the different women in my life, my influences. I wanted to honor those women, while leaving something behind that allows younger creatives from all disciplines to feel confident in who they are and present.</p>
54. <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Getting a book acquired by a major publisher like HarperCollins is a significant achievement. Could you give us some insight into how this collaboration came to be and the potential it holds for your book&#8217;s success?</strong></p>
55. <p style="text-align: justify;">I’d already self published my first book ‘<em>Notes</em>’ &#8211; I only did that because the conversation with the publisher at the time was restricted. All of them approached me to write the next “<em>Why I’m no longer talking to white people about race</em>’ and that is not my space. I believe this is all some kind of relay race &#8211; my work has to leave something behind that starts a new conversation, or at least leave cheat codes in terms of the systems that oppress people who are as diverse or intersectional as me. So I self published &#8211; which meant i had to learn alot about publishing quickly, I say all of that to say when it came to this book, it made it easier to negotiate from a space where the publisher had to see me as a partner. I spoke to lots of publishers and stephanie from Pavilion/Harper collins &#8211; got what I was talking about and showed respect for what I had done on my own and so it was a no brainer.</p>

57. <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>The title suggests a celebration of Black women&#8217;s resilience, strength, and beauty. How do you navigate portraying all the challenges and triumphs within your narrative?</strong></p>
58. <p style="text-align: justify;">By allowing the women who influenced me to speak for themselves &#8211; The chapters compose of essay written by me on creative subject matters &#8211; those are followed by a transcripted conversation on that subject matter ending with takes aways and advice.</p>
59. <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>In what ways do you hope your book will contribute to the ongoing conversations about diversity, inclusion, and the representation of Black women in literature?</strong></p>
60. <p style="text-align: justify;">For me, its the fact that when you really take the time and look at what this book is, I&#8217;ve given up space and handed it over, it&#8217;s that I&#8217;ve said these are my successes and they wouldn&#8217;t have happened without these women and their guidance, specifically black women. That in itself is a powerful catalyst or at least should be to start looking at who we are championing and what real community looks like in creativity.</p>

62. <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Are there particular authors or works that influenced your writing style early on?</strong></p>
63. <p style="text-align: justify;">In terms of the essays in the book &#8211; I would say Christopher Wallace, not that the essay are lyrics &#8211; but just in terms of the way that I recall some of the stories in the essays. My point of view has a flow that gives most of the sentences a bleak and punchy tone. In short I think I somewhat tell stories like a rapper would just without a beat or trying to stay in a rhythmic pocket.</p>
64. <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Your book also arrives at a time when society is grappling with issues of social justice and equity. How do you see your work contributing to the ongoing conversations about intersectionality and the unique challenges faced by Black women?</strong></p>
65. <p style="text-align: justify;">I hope it serves as a example on how to center and find the real conversations needed. I’m not interested in what’s been identified as racism, sexism, etc The identification is only relevant in the moment of identification &#8211; the important part is what’s next. What needs to be healed, protected or in the case of this book championed and appreciated. If we stand still just pointing out what we have already pointed out that discovery, very quickly turns into a distraction.</p>
66. <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Now that &#8216;Black Women Always&#8217; is released, what are your aspirations for the impact it will have on readers, both in the short term and in the long run?</strong></p>
67. <p style="text-align: justify;">What ever they need. I don’t put such aspirations on my work other than, is this a new conversation and was I honest &#8211; after that it will be what it will be.</p>

His visionary creations enveloped everyone in a world of sensorial wonder. The event was a mix of art and interaction. Guests got to personalize Marathon sneakers, enjoy live performances, and experience Reisinger&#8217;s immersive &#8216;dreamscapes&#8217; in the Hangar. The night ended with a beautiful dinner surrounded by flowers and candlelight.</p>

270. <p style="text-align: justify;">The culmination of this partnership was showcased at an exhibition during the opening days of the 60th International Art Exhibition of Venice. Among the Venetian Masters participating are esteemed artisans such as glassblower<strong> Roberto Beltrami</strong>, goldbeater <strong>Marino Menegazzo</strong>, and mask maker <strong>Sergio Boldrin</strong>. Each artist has drawn inspiration from the Gommino and Tod&#8217;s brand ethos to create one-of-a-kind pieces that blend contemporary style with the appeal of a  time-honored techniques.</p>

This collection celebrates the timeless essence of love through the lens of contemporary artistry, appealing to those who dare to dream and love without boundaries. It caters to the bold, creative, and modern spirit in everyone, offering a fresh take on bridal fashion that pays homage to the past while fearlessly embracing the future.  </span></p>
496. <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>What prompted the decision to collaborate with Sexsdreams?</b></p>
497. <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">I was captivated by Gioele’s work and loved the idea of a collaboration to introduce something different, out of the box and unexpected. This collaboration has a blend of tradition, individuality, and expression. In the previous FW24 season, our campaign theme, “The Art of Waiting,” conveyed a narrative through design. Now, we are taking it a step further by emphasizing art to express our industry stance.</span></p>

Each piece is a visionary statement, reflecting a unique blend of sumptuous textures and exquisite finesse. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">We aim to appeal to individuals that are trendsetters, open to unconventional ideas but respectful of heritage. They seek unique expressions of love that resonate with their individuality and contemporary lifestyle. A Justin Alexander Signature bride pushes the boundaries of conventional bridal styling. </span></p>
501. <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Do you have any guiding principles when conceptualizing new collections?</b></p>
502. <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Our design team is trend-forward and data-driven. We use trunk shows and events to collect feedback on our newest designs by working directly with brides: Providing inspiration for future collection; ensuring our gowns flatter a wide variety of body shapes; and challenging ourselves to create for all women. We aim to strike a balance between fashion and wearability. Our goal is to craft designs that enable brides to authentically express their essence, seamlessly blending with their personal identity. </span></p>

504. <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>What were the challenges you encountered during the design phase?</b></p>
505. <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Some of the challenges I’ve encountered included selecting the right dresses and fabrics that would work best with spray paint and trying to figure out the placement and graffiti designs that would merge our two brands. We also had to manipulate the graffiti illustrations for optimal placement on accessories. There was a risk that a misstep could damage a gown or require us to alter our plans, but Gioele spray paints with precision. </span></p>
506. <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>Could you share any memorable experiences or feedback from brides who have worn your designs?</b></p>
507. <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The most memorable experiences are from trunk shows, when I&#8217;ve had the opportunity to meet the bride and her family, and hear the couple&#8217;s love story. Oftentimes, there will be touching and/or heartbreaking stories, and I love helping brides find joy during their dress search and help them feel spectacular on their special day.</span></p>

510. <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>In your opinion, what innovations should the bridal industry embrace to redefine the concept of marriage for today&#8217;s generation?</b></p>
511. <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">I think brides are seeking more personalization to make their gown unique to them. Dress customizations, embroideries, special accessories and more can help a bride achieve the look they envision. I think the perception of marriage is changing as there are less societal pressures than previous generations to marry versus live with a partner and have children. I think those that choose to marry hold the ritual in high esteem. The world continues to value experience more and more, and we as an industry have to help brides create incredible, out of this world, celebrations.</span></p>
512. <p style="text-align: justify;"><b>What can we expect to see from Justin Alexander Signature in the future?</b></p>
513. <p style="text-align: justify;">Merchandise from the Justin Alexander Signature x Sexsdreams collaboration will soon debut on our new E-commerce platform, Justin Alexander Studio. This platform offers a comprehensive selection of sophisticated and luxurious products essential for all bridal occasions. We remain dedicated to pioneering innovation within bridal fashion, as seen in the upcoming collection. Expect to see fresh silhouettes, bold fabric choice, and intricate details that redefine bridal elegance.</p>
514. <p style="text-align: justify;">Looking ahead, Justin Alexander Signature will continue to push boundaries by  blending classic elements with contemporary flair. Embracing sustainability is also a priority, with a focus on eco-friendly fabrics and responsible production methods to minimize environmental impact.
