37.

Botulinum toxin, also known as Botox, is widely used in aesthetic medicine to treat and reduce expression lines caused by the continuous contraction of the muscles of the forehead, i.e., the forehead, the cross, the corrugator muscles and the orbicularis.

 38.
The botulinum toxin works by reducing and limiting the contraction of the muscles, reducing wrinkles and giving the face a relaxed and relaxed appearance without resorting to surgery in a completely natural way, contrary to what one thinks. Botox has long been the victim of unjustified demonization and there are many false myths that have been built about it over time.

 39.
Some people have “exasperated” facial expressions which over time cause wrinkles to appear more and more until they are permanent. Therefore, Botox acts both as a motor re-education of the affected muscles and in the prevention of further wrinkles that may form in the future.

 40.
The results are not immediately visible, the next day you don’t “see anything” because the botulinum toxin needs a few days to take effect. The results are progressive and will consolidate over the next 15 days.

 41.
Botox wrinkles: areas that can be treated.

 42.

 43.
The areas that can be treated with botulinum toxin are:

 44.
Vertical lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines)

 45.
Periocular wrinkles (crow’s feet and eye contour)

 46.
Frontal wrinkles (which are highlighted by bringing the eyebrows upwards)

 47.
Neck and lower neckline wrinkles

 48.

 49.
Botox: What is it and how does it work?

 50.
Botox acts by blocking the nerve impulses that activate the muscles preventing their contraction, this block ensures that there is complete relaxation of the treated area which appears relaxed and smooth. The effect of this muscle “block” is always reversible and lasts about 5-6 months.

 51.
Where does Botox apply?

 52.
Botox is applied to the facial wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes. The objective of Botox injections is not to correct the wrinkle with filling (fillers are used for that) but to reduce the contraction of the facial muscles and consequently to smooth out wrinkles with a natural result. Botox therefore determines a relaxation of the mimic muscles and allows to give brightness to the gaze by softening the features of the face and reducing expression lines.

 53.
The treatment is indicated for:

 54.

 55.
Forehead wrinkles and glabellar lines

 56.
Wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet)

 57.

 58.
Botox on the forehead

 59.
Botox is injected into the wrinkles by reducing the muscle contraction of the forehead, obviously in the right doses and therefore without paralyzing the facial expressions, going to relax and smooth out the wrinkled areas. Effectively reduces and eliminates horizontal wrinkles and glabellar lines.

 60.
Botox eye contour

 61.
Botulinum toxin is also very effective for smoothing out wrinkles around the eyes (the so-called crow’s feet), opening up and giving new light to the gaze.

 62.
Botox contraindications and side effects

 63.
There are no particular contraindications to botulinum except in some circumstances related to pregnancy, breastfeeding, any infections on the treated part or hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin. After the treatment, mild temporary side effects may appear such as:

 64.

 65.
Slight pain in the treated area

 66.
Redness

 67.
Headache

 68.

 69.
What not to do after Botox?

 70.
After the treatment it is good to follow some precautions:

 71.

 72.
Avoid strenuous physical activity for at least 24 hours.

 73.
Do not touch the affected part for at least six hours after the treatment.

 74.
Avoid exposure to heat sources.

 75.

 76.
How long does Botox last?

 77.
The effects of the treatment last for about 4-8 months and then booster treatments can be done.
The post Botox: What it is, Where it is applied and how long it lasts? first appeared on Dr Sahil Singla.

 92.

The idea that plastic surgery leaves no scars is due to the fact that, generally, this type of surgery is linked to aesthetic reasons, that is, it would not make sense for the patient to perform a procedure like this to get out of it with very evident marks.

 93.
However, it is wrong to think that plastic surgeries leave no scars. Just like any trauma that harms a tissue, be it skin or muscle, this type of surgery will leave some skin mark, even if almost imperceptible.

 94.
One of the differentials for the success of a plastic surgery is the care that the best plastic surgeon in Noida has when performing the procedure, the surgery should be done thinking about the final result and this includes the healing part. This can be done using minimally traumatic techniques, with special wires and low tension. Another detail that hinders the visibility of the scar in plastic surgery is the location, which is hidden in places barely visible, making it appear not to exist.

 95.
Know the types of scars

 96.
What varies from one scar to another is its quality and appearance: thin, thick, enlarged, flat or embossed. The quality of the scar is due to three main conditions: surgical techniques, patient care during the post-surgical period and individual and genetic factors.

 97.
Some types of scars:

 98.

 99.
Keloid: keloid is a type of thick and elevated scar and can extend beyond the injury. Most often it can occur because of individual factors of the patient; the type of injury and the location of the scar

 100.

 101.

 102.
Hypertrophic: very similar to the keloid in appearance, its main difference is not extending by points beyond the injury, having chances of regressing with time;

 103.

 104.

 105.
Enlarged: this scar has a shallower and sparse appearance and can happen due to tension in the margins of the wound, or even rupture of the internal and external points, forcing the healing of the open wound;

 106.
Dysplastic: they are scars that become lighter or darker than the skin around you. They usually affect people with brown skin or are the result of scars exposed early in the sun.

 107.

 108.
Over time, the scar becomes less noticeable, so to have a final diagnosis, it is ideal to wait. Many intolerable scars become acceptable after a period of 3 to 18 months.

 109.
Main care and treatments for scars

 110.
Care for the scar should begin with the hands of best plastic surgeon in Vaishali when choosing the technique and material used in the procedure. Once this is done, some post-surgical care done by the patient may help prevent the appearance of hypertrophic and keloid scars, for example.

 111.
To begin with, it is important to follow step-by-step medical instructions throughout the post-surgery, avoiding solutions on their own.

 112.
The main medical recommendations usually call for attention to the hygiene of the site and ask the patient to avoid tension in the scar. Pick up weight, perform sudden movements, among others should be avoided, especially in the first few weeks. Making the use of specific creams, according to medical guidance, can also be a good way out.
The post The Plastic Surgery Scar: Everything You Need to Know first appeared on Dr Sahil Singla.

 126.

There is not one fat where on the body the fat sits. Moving fat from, for example, the stomach to the face is becoming increasingly popular, and allows you to kill two birds with one stone.

 127.
According to a survey, as many as one in three people who have plastic surgery want to move fat around the body. Either to look younger, to get bigger breasts or a bigger rear.

 128.
After a liposuction in East Delhi, the fat is usually thrown away, but in recent years it has become more and more popular to reuse the fat. It can be used to fill the breasts, the face, the backs of thin hands or the buttocks.

 129.
Liposuction of unwanted fat

 130.
Excess fat in the abdominal region or in the hips and thighs can be removed with liposuction, and then transplanted to, for example, the face. In this way, you get rid of unwanted fat somewhere, and get a younger appearance with the purchase.

 131.
The butt requires more fat

 132.
The procedure can be done on both thin and plump people, as not so much fat is needed for the face, for example.

 133.
However, a butt lift requires more fat, so here you should have “a little to go on”. For the buttocks and breasts, you need around 1,000 grams of fat, which is taken from various places on the body. But not so much is required on the face.

 134.
Fat filling vs. injection with a muscle relaxant

 135.
The lips can also be corrected or given more volume by injecting the lips with your own fat. This is a treatment that gives a more lasting result than the various fillers, but this has not become so popular because the fat here has a greater risk of disappearing. When it comes to the classic “smile and anger wrinkles”, fat filling is not recommended, but rather injection with a muscle relaxant. In other words, both have their advantages.

 136.
Long lasting

 137.
If the fat has first grown into a new environment, there is no reason to expect it to disappear. The first weeks are the uncertain period where you always have to expect that something will be lost. Common fillers such as Juvederm, Restylan and others. sits roughly approx. 1 year, while injections with muscle relaxants often need to be refilled as often as every three or four months.

 138.
The advantage of the technique is that it is your own fat that is used, which means that it does not contain any kind of foreign matter. Other people’s fat will not be able to function.

 139.
You can fix this by moving fat to the face:

 140.

 141.
Wrinkles

 142.
Deep furrows

 143.
Lips

 144.
Irregularities

 145.
Cheekbone

 146.
Search the face

 147.
Loose skin under the eyes

 148.
Corner of the mouth

 149.
Masking of edges and dents (ripple) in breast prostheses

 150.
Smooth out unevenness, e.g. cellulite, dents after injuries, unevenness after liposuction etc

 151.
Enlarge the breasts

 152.
Enlarge / lift the butt

 153.
Smooth appearance/gives more volume to thin backs of hands

 154.

 155.
Fat can practically be used anywhere where you want a little more volume!

 156.
Are you wondering how this is possible or would you like to find out more about moving the fat? 168.

Information about tummy tuck surgery:

 169.
Abdominal wall changes most often develop as a result of obesity, weight loss following obesity, permanent changes left after pregnancy, or surgical interventions. Excess skin and fat locally formed on the abdomen can cause not only aesthetic, but also functional complaints, spinal disorders, skin diseases that develop in the adjacent skin areas, and psychological disturbances.

 170.
Abdominoplasty includes surgeries performed in the abdomen area, the purpose of which is to eliminate or restore changes in the skin, fatty tissue and abdominal wall. Abdominal plastic surgery incision in a curved line connecting the two iliac spines, it passes in a hidden place in the groove above the pubic mound. Sagging skin, sometimes with stretch marks, is removed together with subcutaneous fat. If we detect an expansion between the rectus abdominis muscles, an abdominal wall or umbilical hernia, we treat it. The navel is then fixed in its original position. The wound is closed with plastic sutures in several layers. At the end of the abdominal plastic surgery, a compression bandage or corset is applied.

 171.
To whom do we recommend tummy tuck surgery?

 172.
Abdominal plastic surgery is the most ideal solution if dissatisfaction with the shape of your abdomen causes you psychological problems!

 173.
Things to do after tummy tuck surgery

 174.
Wearing a pressure bandage or corset after abdominoplasty is absolutely necessary for 4-6 weeks. In uncomplicated cases, wound healing takes 2 weeks. After the operation, after an observation period, the patient is discharged home with a companion. The patient is responsible for organizing home care and following the instructions. Subsequently, the patient is regularly monitored, sutures are removed, and further instructions are given at that time.

 175.
Possible complications after abdominal plastic surgery

 176.
No doctor can guarantee that a tummy tuck procedure will be free of complications. Complications of medical intervention: thrombosis, embolism, post-bleeding, inflammation, however – thanks to the development of medicine – are becoming rarer and can be treated if they occur. In order to prevent complications, plastic surgeon in Noida use low molecular weight heparin derivatives, which the patient must continue at home.

 177.
Complications include serous formation, weakness resulting from blood loss during surgery, drowsiness, wound infection, and sensory disturbances due to damage to the superficial skin nerves. A late complication can be a hypertrophic or keloid scar.

 178.
The day after the abdominoplasty, the patient can get up, then the bandages are changed and the drains are removed. Weight bearing capacity is gradually regained usually within 2 weeks, wearing the elastic band is necessary for 4-6 weeks to promote adhesion.
The post Dissatisfied with the shape of your belly and want to see your belly flat and tight again? first appeared on Dr Sahil Singla.

 193.

Do you know the difference between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery ? When we hear the term plastic surgery, it is common to think of an intervention to correct something in the appearance that the person does not like about himself. But the origin of the procedure has to do with corrections to repair imperfections from birth or caused by some external factor. In this article, we will differentiate one from the other and make clear the function of each.

 194.
What is the difference between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery?

 195.
Nowadays, surgeries are almost always associated with correction of breast sizes with silicone implants, softening the marks on the skin caused by the passing of the years and even reducing skin leftovers, but the origin of modern techniques had another main objective.

 196.
The term “plastic” comes from the Greek “plastikos”, which means “to mold or model”. According to Dr Sahil Singla, modern techniques began to be developed in response to the “effects” of the First World War. The interventions aimed to close wounds caused in combat, restore bodily functionality and return a “more normal” life to ex-combatants.

 197.
Many of the procedures were developed at the time by the New Zealand physician Sir Harold Gillies, who used skin grafts and flaps to close the wounds. during World War II, he and his nephew Archibald McIndoe improved the techniques by applying them to soldiers disfigured in combat, restoring common everyday functions such as closing the eyes or mouth.

 198.
From these examples, it is possible to conclude that the objective of reconstructive plastic surgery is to restore functions impaired by some deformity, such as a scar or muscle damage that limits movement, or congenital deformities.

 199.
This type of operation restores the person’s quality of life, but also helps the patient’s psychological recovery. The functional deficit generated by the abnormality determines the urgency of medical intervention.

 200.
Examples of difference between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery

 201.
Examples of reconstructive plastic surgery are those that correct sequelae left in patients who have suffered burns, who have had cancer, who have had accidents, sequelae in ex-obese patients who have undergone bariatric surgery and even cysts and skin cancer.

 202.
Aesthetic plastic surgery, on the other hand, has another function: the main objective is to restore the patient’s self-esteem, harmed by some body contour that he does not like. The main difference in relation to restorative plastic intervention is that, in this case, the procedure is optional.

 203.
Despite not bringing, as a rule, an improvement in the physical health of the patient, cosmetic surgery has good results on the psychological side, as it increases self-confidence and self-acceptance.

 204.
This type of intervention can correct, for example, a scar resulting from previous surgery or an accident, or enlargement or reduction of body parts, such as the nose, ears or breasts.

 219.

An unattractive nose influences the overall shape and harmony of the face, which is why many people feel self-conscious and decide to have surgery to look good every day in front of the mirror. This is the reason why rhinoplasty is one of the most demanded cosmetic surgery operations and more than 100,000 patients go under the knife every year to have a nose retouched.

 220.
Deciding to have surgery should not be a decision made lightly. You must choose your cosmetic surgery clinic well and, very importantly, be advised by your plastic surgeon in Jammu, who is an experienced professional who will be able to recommend the type of surgery that best suits you.

 221.
Rhinoplasty duration

 222.
Rhinoplasty lasts approximately two to three hours, after which the patient usually stays overnight in the hospital or clinic as a precaution. Not in all cases the use of nasal packing is necessary, if so, it will be removed after 24 or 48 hours, without associating any discomfort for the patients. The next day the patient can go home and begin recovery from there. It is important to take the prescribed medication and follow the instructions of your best plastic surgeon in Jammu, to ensure that the postoperative period is correct, with minimal discomfort.

 223.
First postoperative days

 224.
The first days (7 to 10 days) after rhinoplasty, the patient must wear a nasal splint to ensure control of inflammation, proper healing and that there is no movement that could displace the recovering tissues and cartilage. In addition, during the first days, there may be small bleeding, so gauze is placed plugging the nostrils that will have to be changed regularly. If the bleeding lasts a long time or is abundant, it is important to go quickly to the doctor to check that the recovery is correct.

 225.
The postoperative period of a rhinoplasty can be a prior cumbersome or somewhat uncomfortable due to the importance of the nose in the respiratory process, however, it is one of the postoperative periods that allows faster incorporation into daily life, since after a period of between 5-7 days, the patient can go to work and lead a normal life as long as it does not include efforts or physical exercise until a month after the intervention. You can be a little hi chad and with some purples the first days, it is normal, improving quickly and progressively in a few days.

 226.
It will always be vitally important to heed the recommendations of plastic surgeons in Chandigarh, such as taking medication, sleeping on your back, wearing a nasal splint or avoiding sports, in order to have a faster and smooth recovery.

 227.
Recovery process

 228.
The recovery process may vary depending on the type of intervention we have undergone. It will depend on the structures that require treatment if it is necessary to work the bone if there is a deviation of the septum if the rhinoplasty is closed or open, but in general, it is not a painful surgery or a cumbersome or annoying postoperative period.

 229.
Reviews with your plastic surgeon in Delhi will also be of vital importance. The first revision is usually 4-5 days after the intervention, then 7-10 days to remove stitches and the nasal splint, subsequently spacing more and more in time: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.
The post RECOVERY TIME AFTER RHINOPLASTY first appeared on Dr Sahil Singla.

 243.

The Real Determination – What You Need to Know About Breast Augmentation? What happens during the first consultation?

 244.
In most women’s lives, the moment comes when she looks dissatisfied at the changed shape of her breasts. After childbirth, due to the passage of time or individual abilities, the skin loses its elasticity and tone. Thanks to plastic surgery, you still don’t have to give up tight, full shapes. Breasts that have lost their posture can be tightened with a plastic procedure called breast augmentation in Karnal.

 245.
It is a good idea to prepare in advance for your first consultation with a plastic surgeon in Karnal, think about your questions and expectations about breast augmentation in Karnal. During the consultation, the best plastic surgeon in Karnal will examine you and then discuss the options in a personalized way, explaining the different surgical techniques and showing you where the surgical scars will be located.

 246.
Waiting days – Preparing for breast augmentation

 247.
Before plastic surgery, you should have a full examination to find out if you have any health problems that could be a factor in breast augmentation. All preliminary examinations are performed at hospital, so you do not have to stand in line and wait in several places. During the examination, laboratory examinations and, if necessary, other examinations (ECG, X-ray, breast ultrasound, mammography, etc.) are performed, based on the recommendation of the plastic surgeon. In some cases, we recommend a lifestyle change for the days before. To promote proper healing, it is important that you do not smoke because nicotine slows down regeneration processes and adversely affects wound healing. In the days before breast augmentation in Karnal, eat light meals, drink plenty of fluids and take vitamins (vitamin C, selenium, zinc). Avoid using aspirin, ginkgo biloba, and other natural remedies for two weeks before breast augmentation.

 248.
The big moment – The breast augmentation

 249.
During breast augmentation, a new breast shape is formed from the existing glandular stock and the sagging is eliminated. The breast suture is performed under anesthesia and takes approx. it takes two and a half hours each. During breast surgery, the plastic surgeon in Delhi removes excess skin and fixes the nipples in an anatomical position. If the glandular volume is sufficient, breast correction is performed without implant placement. However, in 50% of cases, breast augmentation should be supplemented with implant placement.

 250.
Backstage of the operating room – Surgical techniques of breast augmentation

 251.
By surgical technique is meant the selection and location of the required incisions. There are several techniques that can be used during breast augmentation in Karnal. The vertical or short term technique consists of a circular and a short vertical incision. In the case of a significant sagging, the so-called inverted T incision is used, where in addition to the circular and short incision, the plastic surgeon also makes a transverse incision in the fold under the breast. The latter technique results in a basket smaller size. The plastic surgeon can decide which breast suture method results in a beautiful, natural shape, taking into account the characteristics and breast structure of the breast.

 252.
Recovery period – Recovery and risks

 253.
At our clinic, we try to make the period after breast augmentation as comfortable as possible for you. To do this, our plastic surgeon will apply a waterproof bandage to the wounds the day after the breast suture, so you can take a shower in your home. After breast augmentation, you will have to spend one night at our Plastic Institute. In order to achieve the perfect result, we work with absorbable seams, so the scars heal much more beautifully and we also spare you the possible inconveniences of picking up the seams.

 254.
The breast augmentation after 8 weeks you must wear a special bra that we provide for you. During the first two weeks of recovery, you should avoid all strenuous physical work. After two weeks, you can gradually return to your previous lifestyle. After three weeks, light exercise can be started. Avoid sunbathing, sunbathing and using the sauna for two months. You should have a follow-up examination on days 7 and 14, and weeks 6 and 12 after breast augmentation. The healing time of the external scars is approx. six months, while internal scars heal completely in 2 years.

 255.
The use of scar treatment creams is recommended to promote scar healing. We try to filter out all risk factors during pre-breast augmentation examinations, however, there are complications that are unpredictable. The incidence of complications following breast augmentation in Karnal is small but cannot be completely ruled out. Complications may include wound infection, blood and serum formation, keloid scarring, asymmetry between the two breasts, and temporary changes in nipple sensitivity.

 256.
Satisfaction – The result of breast augmentation

 257.
A breast lift has undergone the most beautiful women are once again proud symbol of femininity, self-confidence increased, which has a positive impact on all areas based on feedback from our guests, their lives. After breast surgery, a thin scar line remains on the skin in some visible and invisible places. These scars are permanent, but gradually fade over time. The breast gains its final shape after six months.

 343.

 344.
Eyelid surgery is a significantly smaller surgical procedure than facelift, but can often have a significant rejuvenating effect on its own.

 345.
The skin of the lower and upper eyelids is very thin and the subcutaneous connective tissue stock contains few connective tissue fibers, so aesthetic complaints can occur relatively early due to various external, environmental influences and the genetically determined process of aging.

 346.
Aging of the skin of the upper and lower eyelids, loss of elasticity, flaccidity of the support system around the eyes, can lead to pronounced wrinkles, swelling around the eyes, which can result in aesthetic and psychological complaints. The skin protrudes, and as the connective tissue weakens, the padding adipose tissue protrudes, as a result of which the upper eyelid becomes flabby, sagging, and often can impede perfect vision. At the lower eyelid and due to striking wrinkles and adipose tissue accumulating behind the protruding skin bags appear.

 347.
Upper eyelid plastic surgery

 348.
It is recommended to do this if the skin of the upper eyelid is elongated, wrinkled, or possibly disturbing vision beyond the lash line. An incision made in the fold fold of the upper eyelid can be used to remove excess skin and adipose tissue. The resulting hair-thin lined white scar line is almost barely visible after 2-3 weeks.

 349.
Lower eyelid plastic surgery

 350.
At the lower eyelid, surgery is performed primarily because of the wrinkling of the skin and the appearance of so-called bags. In this case, the surgical incision is made directly below the lower lash line, which, as described above, also heals with a barely noticeable scar.

 351.
At the end of the eyelid surgery in Delhi, the wound is closed with one suture per eyelid (because the suture runs inside the wound along the length of the wound line) and with a paper-like wound dressing, which is removed after 4-5 days.

 352.
After surgery

 353.
The tissues around the eyes are among the loosest tissues in the body, so after surgery, the eyelids swell and bleed. Leakage of pink, blood-stained discharge was detected in the wound line during the first 48 hours. The patient may feel tense, often tearing. Due to the swelling, the closure of the eyes may be temporarily imperfect or in the case of the lower eyelids, a temporary, slight twisting may also occur.

 354.
Because of all this, the surgical area should be iced for the first two days. If discharge is also observed, it is advisable to clean the landscape with chamomile. Using eye drops may reduce tearing. It is recommended by plastic surgeon to wear dark glasses for a few days after surgery. A 4-5. After eyelid collection during the day, eyelid washing is allowed. Face painting after surgery for two, eyelash painting for 3 weeks is not recommended.

 355.
Surgical scars are barely visible a few weeks after surgery and are virtually invisible after 3-4 months. The final condition of the eyelids is also approx. It develops after 2-3 months, although 90% of the results are visible after a few weeks.

 356.
About possible complications

 357.
The operation was performed as described above in addition to the complications that occur during all surgeries (bleeding, infection), it rarely has complications. Irritant symptoms (burning, itching, tearing, frequent conjunctival catarrh) if present are usually transient and rarely permanent. However, similar pre-existing complaints may be more pronounced after surgery. It does not affect vision. Repetition of the surgery may become due in 10-15 years.

 358.
Pros: Youthful, inquisitive look. In some cases, improved vision. Elimination of tear bags under the eyes.

 359.
Relatively small surgical intervention compared to favorable results.

 360.
With rare exceptions (thyroid dysfunction, diabetes, high blood pressure, tendency to bleeding, taking anticoagulants), surgery can be performed. It can be performed under local anesthesia, absolutely painless (except for the inconvenience of injecting).

 377.
Types of surgery

 378.
Scar revision surgery can be done in different ways. The method used will depend on the type of scar you have and where it is on your body. You and your plastic surgeon in Panipat will discuss these details before surgery. Some frequently used methods for scar correction surgery:

 379.

 380.
Cleavage. The scar is surgically removed and the area is closed with stitches.

 381.
Skin graft. Scar tissue is removed. It is then replaced with a patch of healthy skin (graft) that is taken from another part of the body.

 382.
Z-plasty: A Z- shaped incision is made through the scar tissue and a piece of healthy skin. (If the scar is very large, more than one incision may be made.) The Z shape creates pointed flaps of skin that can then be repositioned to produce a more aesthetic look and contour. It can also loosen the scar.

 386.
Preparations for surgery

 387.
Prepare for surgery as directed. What’s more:

 388.

 389.
Tell your plastic surgeon in Karnal about all the medicines you use. This includes herbal remedies and other supplements. It also includes any blood thinners, some anti-inflammatory drugs, or daily aspirin. You may need to stop using some (or all) of these medications before surgery.

 390.
If you smoke, stop before surgery. Tobacco and other nicotine products can slow wound healing.

 391.
Do not eat or drink anything before surgery as directed.

 392.

 394.

 395.
The day of surgery

 396.
Before the scar revision surgery, you will be asked to sign an informed consent form. This form contains information about the procedure. It also mentions the risks and benefits, as well as the alternatives to the procedure. You will be able to ask any questions you have before signing it. Make sure to evacuate all your doubts before signing it.

 397.
The surgery takes 2 to 4 hours. Maybe you can go home the same day. Or you may need to spend 1 or more nights in the hospital or an ambulatory surgical center.

 398.
Before the surgery begins

 399.

 400.
An IV will be put into a vein in your arm or hand. They will give you fluids and medications around here.

 401.
You will be given medicine (anesthesia) so that you will not feel any pain during the surgery. You may be given a sedative to relax you and make you sleepy. Local anesthesia is also given to numb the surgery area. In some cases, general anesthesia is given. In this case, you will be sound asleep during the entire procedure. If you are given general anesthesia, a tube may be inserted into your throat to help you breathe. The anesthetist will explain your options to you.

 402.

 403.
During surgery

 404.

 405.
Your plastic surgeon in Delhi will correct your scar using the method mentioned before surgery.

 406.
You will be taken to a recovery room until you wake up from anesthesia. You may feel sleepy or nauseous. If you had a breathing tube, you may have a sore throat at first. They will give you medicine to control pain. If the correction was done in a large area, you may have to stay in the hospital one or more nights. When you are ready to go home, ask a family member or adult friend to drive you.

 410.
Recovery at home

 411.
Once you are home, follow the instructions you have been given. Your plastic surgeon will tell you when you can resume your normal activities. How to facilitate your recovery:

 412.

 413.
Take all the medications that have been prescribed for you exactly as directed.

 414.
If your plastic surgeon recommends it, use an ice pack wrapped in a thin towel to relieve discomfort and control swelling. It is important not to leave the cold pack on too long or put it on unwrapped. It could damage your skin. Put the compress on the dressings for up to 10 minutes at a time. Then take it off for at least 20 minutes. Repeat this procedure as often as needed during your waking hours until the swelling begins to subside. Don’t fall asleep with the cold pack on. If you don’t know how to use the cold pack properly, ask your healthcare provider.

 415.
Follow all instructions given to you by your healthcare provider regarding incision care. Leave the dressing on until you are told it can be removed or changed. Once the dressing can be changed, change it every 24 hours or as often as directed. Also, replace it also if it gets wet or dirty. Wash your hands before changing the dressing.

 416.
Keep the surgical area clean and dry. You can let it get wet after 48 hours. Rinse the surgical site gently and pat it dry.

 417.
Keep it out of sunlight while it heals. This will help you get a better result. At first, cover the healing skin with a dressing or clothing. When your plastic surgeon gives you permission, you can apply sunscreen to the area.
