Time Warner Cable (TWC) Email Login.

Time Warner Cable Email, sometimes shortened to TWC Mail, is an email service owned by Charter Communications. It was originally set up for customers of Time Warner Cable, although that particular cable television brand no longer exists and it has since been succeeded by Spectrum.

Nevertheless, TWC Mail remains operational and all customers who created TWC Mail accounts have been able to retain them. Moreover, current Spectrum customers are also able to create an email address using the TWC Mail service. Customers are then able to access their account from any device with internet access and a web browser.

How Do I Log In to My TWC Email Account?

The Time Warner Cable email login process is relatively straight forward. To start with, visit the main TWC Mail login page ( mail.twc.com ). The Mail.TWC.com login page will redirect to https://www.spectrum.net/login/?ReferringPartner=TWC as Time Warner Cable has re-branded TWC Mail and RoadRunner Mail to “Spectrum”.

The Mail.TWC.com website is frequently “down”, so you can also go directly to www.spectrum.net/login.

Enter your TWC ID and password combination.

Click the box next to “Im Not a Robot”.

Then click the ‘Sign In’ button.

Assuming you have entered your login credentials correctly, you should now have access to your email account. If the login attempt fails, make sure you have entered your full email address, including the suffix, and take care when entering your password. Your password is case sensitive, so CAPS LOCK should be switched off on your keyboard.

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking here and select “Get Username” or “Get Password’. From there, follow the instructions provided. You will need to provide some personal details, in order to verify your identification. Use the new password to log in, then set a new password within your account.

Alternatively, if you have forgotten your email address, you can recover it by clicking here. To retrieve your email address, you will need to provide your phone number and answer some account security questions.

The correct TWC login will look like this screenshot. You will need to enter your TWC Username and NOT your TWC email address.

TWC Mail Login Problems.

Remember that when you signed up, your password must have been: Between 8 and 20 characters long, must have included at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number and must have included at least one special character (symbols, punctuation marks, etc.)

With that in mind, try your username and password again.

If you still cannot sign in, then you should:

Check that your internet connection is working properly.

Check that the Spectrum server is UP by visiting: http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/spectrum.net.html.

Log in with another browser, for example Chrome, Mozilla or Internet Explorer.

Delete your browser data, cache and cookies, restart the web browser and then try again.

Disable all plugins, add-ons, anti-virus and anti-malware programs, and ad-blocker programs that could interfere with the log in process.

Sign in from a different mobile device or laptop and see if that resolves the issue.

If you are still having problems then share your issue on this page.

The post TWC Email Login first appeared on Email Settings.

Your Guide to the Top 5 Best Password Managers.

List of the Top 5 most popular password managers. See the main advantages and disadvantages of installing a password manager program.

Pros and Cons of Password Managers – Should I get One?

Password manager software has grown in popularity, owing to the sheer number of passwords people need to remember. However, the decision of whether or not to get a password manager application requires an assessment of the pros and cons associated with these applications. Below, we take a closer look at three pros and two cons:

Pro#1: Password Managers Are Convenient.

Good password managers will be easy to use and allow you to store your login credentials for as many different services as you want. By saving your credentials, all you will need to do is log in to each service once and automatic logins will be available for future use. The software will also eradicate instances where you forget your password.

Pro #2: They will Enhance Online Security

It is highly recommended that a different password is used for each service, yet the vast majority of internet users re-use passwords multiple times, because remembering dozens of passwords is unrealistic. With password managers, however, this becomes a reality. A password manager can also be used to generate strong passwords.

Pro #3: You Can Sync Across Devices.

The very best password managers offer the choice of using it either online or offline. When this is the case, the online component can usually be used to sync across different devices. This means that your chosen application can be used with your desktop, laptop, smartphone and tablet.

Con #1: Single Point of Failure.

Most cyber security experts agree that the single biggest drawback of password managers is that they represent a single point of failure. This means that if you get locked out of the application for any reason, or if something goes wrong with the application itself, you could potentially lose dozens of passwords.

Con #2: They Are a Big Target For Hackers.

Finally, the fact that people store all of their passwords in their password managers makes them a high-value target for hackers and other cyber criminals. While most password managers use encryption and other security protections, they are not fool-proof, meaning hackers could theoretically gain access to all of your passwords.

The Top 5 Password Managers.

Here we list the Top 5 most popular password managers. We have no association to any of the programs.

1. LastPass Password Manager.

LastPass is often viewed as the gold standard for password managers. It supports two-factor authentication, has a user-friendly interface, is available for a huge range of devices and will even analyse the quality of your passwords. It is free to use on all platforms, although an enhanced ‘premium’ version is also available.

Go to www.Lastpass.com to try Lastpass for free.

2. KeePass Password Manager.

Considered by many to be the main competitor for LastPass, KeePass is an open source option, with a number of great features. The software can be used offline, preventing unwanted syncing, but support is also there for use across devices too. It includes a password generator, uses strong encryption and is completely free.

Visit www.keepass.info to read more about KeePass.

3. Roboform Password Manager.

Another long-standing option, Roboform has been around since the late 1990s and offers a number of excellent features. It can be used on multiple devices, while it also supports multiple identities, allowing more than one user to make use of it. It is free to use on a single device, but multi-device syncing requires the paid version.

Roboform’s Free Version can be downloaded from www.roboform.com. Roboform also offers a Digital Wallet for cryptocurrencies.

4. Dashlane Password Manager.

Launched in 2012, Dashlane has grown in popularity thanks to a number of interesting features. For example, the software will alert users if a website they have an account on has been hacked, and allows you to quickly change that password to protect your account. It also has an emergency contact function, and the standard version is free.

Visit www.Dashlane.com to try Dashlane for free.

5. 1Password Password Manager.

Finally, 1Password is a solid option, which offers support for many different devices, uses strong encryption and has a customisable password generator, allowing you to set certain prerequisites for passwords. With that said, it operates a subscription model, which may not suit everyone, and stores encrypted passwords on the cloud.

Go to www.1Password.com to download 1Password for free.

Gmail Account Recovery.

How to get your Gmail account or Google account back in 2 easy steps.

As with other services of its type, Google’s Gmail service requires users to memorise a username and password in order to gain account access. However, with so many different websites and services requiring this, and with the best advice being to use a different password for each site, it is inevitable that people may forget these details.

Fortunately, Gmail has been set up with some robust account recovery options in place, meaning that most users who lose account access will be able to regain that access quickly and easily by following some basic instructions.

How Do I Recover My Gmail Account? (If You Know Your Password).

If you know your password, but have forgotten your email address, the most simple way to regain account access is to visit the Gmail recovery page. From there, click on the link labelled ‘Forgot Email?’ and it will take you to its ‘Find Email’ form, where you will be able to look up your email address.

Here, you should enter either the mobile phone number linked to your Gmail account, or the recovery email address you provided when you first signed up for the account, and then click ‘Next’. On the next page, you will need to enter the first name and last name associated with your account. Once you have done this, click ‘Next’ again.

A verification code will then be sent to either your recovery email address, or your mobile phone. Enter this verification code in the box provided and click ‘Next’. Assuming you enter the correct verification code, you will then be shown the email address associated with your account.

You can then either click on the email address displayed and then enter your password when prompted, or you can make a note of your email address and sign in through the main Gmail login page.

Navigate to the Gmail Account Recovery page to regain access to your Google account. Remember, on the first screen, like the one above, you should enter the Gmail account address, that you want to get access to. On the next screen, you will be asked be prompted for your phone number or an alternative email address that Google can send a Verification Code to.

How Do I Recover My Gmail Account? (If You Don’t Know Your Password).

On the other hand, if you know your email address, but have forgotten your password, you will need to use the recovery process to reset it. To do this, go to the Gmail recovery page and enter your email address or phone number in the first field. Then click on the ‘Next’ button underneath.

At this point, you will be required to provide some security information, in order to confirm your identify. The most simple option is to have a verification code sent to your phone, which must then be entered into the field provided. You can also have a Verification Code sent to your alternative email address.

Alternatively, click on “Try Another Way”, and you can opt to answer a series of security questions associated with your Gmail account, one of which would be “When did you create this Google Account?”

Once you have confirmed your identity, simply follow the instructions provided on screen to reset your Gmail password. A temporary password will be sent to you, which you can use to log in. You will then need to set a new password for your account and this must not be a password you have previously used for the same account.

This process can also be followed in the event that your account gets hacked and you find yourself locked out of it.

How to Recover your Gmail Username.

If you are now sure what your Google Username is, Google has created a dedicated Username Recovery page, for this.

Gmail Account Recovery Tips.

If the above steps didn’t work for you and you received a “Google couldn’t verify this account belongs to you” message, you can simply try again.

Use these tips for the recovery process:

Avoid typos and take note of uppercase and lowercase letters, when trying to enter your password.

Enter the most recent password you recall. Google’s system will know of previous, older passwords.

If you don’t remember any of your previous passwords, then make your best guess.

Try not to skip questions. Take your best guess instead of moving on to another question.

Use a computer or phone (and location) where you frequently sign in. The system will be able to detect that you are using a familiar IP address, and that you are who you say you are.

Use the same browser that you always use.

Find out when you created your account, if you can. Check your alternative email account for a sign-up Welcome email from Google.

If th system asks for you to “enter an email address you can check now”, then enter the email address that you have added to your account when you signed up.

If the recovery system asks you why you cannot access your account, then include details like, you are traveling, the error message that you received, possible malware on your computer, or that you recently changed your password (and have forgotten it). Every detail helps.

If you have not accessed your account for 9 months or more, Gmail might deleted it from the server. In this case, recovery is no longer possible.

How to Recover a recently Deleted Google Account.

You have 2–3 weeks to recover a gmail account that has been deleted

To recover a deleted Google account, agin visit the account recovery page, enter your email address and follow the instructions.

If you continue having problems logging in to your Google Mail account, then see our Gmail Login Trobbleshooting page, or state your problem in the comment section.

If you specified an alternate recovery email address, whn you signed up, you can request for a verification code to be sent to your recovery email address. Enter the code that is sent to your recovery email address.

If you did not specify a mobile phone number, or a recovery email, or don’t have access to that number anymore, you can choose to answer security questions instead.

If you don’t remember your Google Account Username (your Gmail email address or the part before the @ sign), then click on “Forgot Email”. You will then be asked to enter your associated mobile phone number or recovery email address.

How to Recover your Gmail password by Verifying your Identity.

If you cannot access your recovery email, your recovery mobile phone, or could still be able to recover your Gmail® password by verifying your identity by answering security questions.

Go to the Google Account Recovery page.

Enter your email address and click on the “Continue” link.

Choose the “I don’t know” option for the password.

Choose the “Verify your identity” option (under all other available options).

TIPS for Answering Verification Questions:

Don’t worry if you get it wrong and you are denied. If you get the “Google couldn’t verify this account belongs to you” message, then try again.

If you are not sure of an answer, try the closest answer, you can think of.

Answer all questions, even if you are not sure of the correct answer.

Use a computer or mobile phone (and location) that you frequently sign in from. Google’s system can detect that you are using a IP address that you commonly log in from.

Use the same internet browser that you always use for logging in.

If the system asks for the last password that you remember, enter the last one you can remember one you recall. If don’t remember the last password, then enter a previous one that you do remember.

If the system asks you why you cannot access your account, then include reasons such as: You changed your password recently and now you cannot remember it, you’re traveling, or you think that your account has been compromised.

G.co Recovery – Other Tips.

If you are working with Google® accounts, G Suite® or Google Apps® at your work, it could be easier to reinstate your account access by contacting the administrator at work to reset your password, so that you can recover your account.

If you don’t remember your username, you might be able to find the username in your web browser. Search your web browser history for Gmail®. It could reveal your email address. Your full email address or the part of it before the @ sign, is your Gmail username.

State your problem below this page, if you still cannot recover your account.

iCloud Email Login.

Sign in to your iCloud account in seconds. Learn how to create an iCloud email account and log in from your desktop and mobile phone.

About iCloud.

iCloud Email is an email service, which is provided by Apple to its iCloud account holders. It is an optional part of having an iCloud account, or Apple ID, and the email account can be accessed via the Apple Mail email client, via any other standard IMAP-compatible email client, or via the world wide web.

As a result, support is offered for iOS mobile devices, Apple computers, Windows computers via Microsoft Outlook, or any device with web browsing capabilities. New users will be allocated an @icloud.com email address, but iCloud Email also offers support for the @me.com, or @mac.com email addresses previously allocated to Apple users.

How Do I Sign Up For an iCLoud Email Account?

iCloud Email sign up requires an Apple ID. If you do not currently have one, you can register by visiting the main homepage for the iCloud service ( www.icloud.com ) and clicking on the link labelled ‘Don’t Have an Apple ID? Create Yours Now’. Simply fill out the form that appears to create your Apple ID and password.

To set up an iCloud Email account, you must now set up the main iCloud service. You will need to do this on either a Mac computer, or a mobile or tablet device that runs on the iOS operating system.

If you are using a Mac, open the Apple menu, then go to ‘System Preferences’, click on ‘iCloud’ and enter your Apple ID and password. Once you are signed in, you can simply select the features you want to use. To create an email account, click ‘Mail’ and follow the on-screen instructions.

For those using an iOS device instead, go to ‘Settings’, click on your own name and then click on ‘iCloud’. From there, select ‘Mail’ and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the set up process.

Once the iCloud email sign up process is complete, you will be given a new @icloud.com email address and this will automatically sync with your Apple ID. As a result, you will be able to log in to your Apple ID with either the original email address you signed up for it with, or with your new @icloud.com address.

How Do I Log In to My iCloud Email Account?

After you have created your email account, the iCloud email login process is fairly straight forward and it can be carried out by visiting the iCloud Email homepage ( icloud.com/mail ) and using the iCloud login form that appears. Here, simply enter your Apple ID and password, then click the login arrow.

It is important to remember that your Apple ID password is case sensitive, so you need to enter it precisely, paying particular attention to your use of upper and lower case letters. For this reason, you should also check to make sure both the CAPS LOCK and NUM LOCK functions on your keyboard are set to off.

How to Create a new AOL Email Account.

Learn how to sign up for an AOL email account in seconds. AOL Mail is still one of the most popular email services around.

The company, now a division of Verizon Communications, lets you sign up for an email account for free, using only a mobile phone number for verification purposes.

AOL Mail Account Sign Up.

Creating an AOL email is simple and fast. Visit the AOL Homepage ( mail.aol.com ) and click on the ‘Don’t Have An Account? Sign Up’ tab. You will be redirected to the main AOL email sign up page, from where you can create a new AOLMail account.

You will need to provide the following:

First Name

Last Name

AOL Username

AOL Password

Date of Birth

Gender

ZIP or Post Code

AOL Security Question

AOL Security Answer

Mobile Phone Number

Alternative Email Address

The username will serve as the prefix before @aol.com in your email address.

Your AOL username must be at least 3 characters long. The AOL Username cannot contain any special characters, like -,+,%, &,* or $.

If you choose a AOL username that is already used by another user, you will be asked to select a different one.

Your AOL security question, AOL security answer, mobile phone number and alternative email fields should all be filled in. These can be needed if forget your password, or if you get locked out of your AOL account.

The system will highlight it, if your password is not strong enough. Remember, you are not allowed to use your first or your last name as part of the password.

On the AOL Mail home page, locate the SIgn Up link below the login fields.

As part of the sign up process, you will also need to agree to allow AOL to “store cookies on your device to collect your search, location and browsing data to tailor content to your interests, secure our products and to improve and create new offerings”.

The AOL Mail Sign Up page can be found here.

Do I Have to Provide a Mobile Phone Number?

Yes, for verification purposes, AOL Mail requires you to provide a working cell phone number. AOL Mail will send a verification code to your mobile phone to verify that you are a person, and not a bot.

If you do not have a mobile phone, then we recommend signing up for a Mail.com account instead.

AOL Sign In Page.

Once you have succesfully created an acccount, you can navigate to the AOL Login page to sign in to your new account.

The post Create an AOL Mail Account first appeared on Email Settings.
