562.
563. Street Ambassadors are a vital addition to the race course. They provide a visual for the runners along the race course to assure the runners they are on the right street. They also keep an eye out for approaching cars and direct traffic when needed. All Street Ambassadors will be provided with an orange safety vest, which must be picked up at the John A and Genny Morris Conservation Center on November 1st between 2PM and 5PM or November 2nd between 10AM and 5PM. Once you have picked up your vest, all you have to do is show up for your shift.
564. The Route Director is a very Important job! You will be directing runners at the half marathon/full marathon split- making sure runners go the right direction. Use Megaphone to direct runners to the correct route. Pick up megaphone at John and Genny Morris Convention Center during our expo on Friday from 2-6 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
565. Relay Exchange Points are an important spot to provide assistance to our relay groups. Volunteers will make sure relay members that are waiting are in the correct spot, and will help make sure the timing device is passed off correctly.
566.

715.
Preferred Hospice is in need of Volunteers! Our Direct Patient Care Volunteers provide companionship to patients receiving hospice care through offering emotional support and comfort. Direct Patient Care Volunteers visit with patients in long term care facilities and provide activities such as reading, writing letters to loved ones, listening to music, or simply holding their hand so they can rest peacefully. Direct Patient Care Volunteers may also visit home patients and provide respite to caregivers. Our Office and Administrative Volunteers give support to the administrative team through assisting with data input, special projects, making copies, etc..We serve patients within an hour radius of our home office in Ozark, MO. We provide education, training, and mileage reimbursement. We ask our volunteers to give us a minimum of 4 hours each month, but more is appreciated. We have an application process that also includes a background check. The background check takes 2-3 days. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please call us to schedule a time to meet. We will further discuss our opportunities, fill out the needed paperwork, and schedule a time to do your orientation. After orientation is complete, we will then schedule a time to introduce you to your patient or patients! You can then make your own hours and visit with patients when it is convenient for you. We also provide mileage reimbursement. If you are interested and would like more information, please call volunteer coordinators Christie and Pam at 417-581-4968. We will be glad to schedule a time to meet with you to discuss the opportunity further and fill out an application with you. Our Volunteers become a part of our family. 780.
Girls on the Run coaches are trained volunteers who lead a team of participants through a season of powerful and fun lessons. You do not need to be a runner; you simply need to have a desire to support and encourage the next generation. Coaches receive all the tools and support they need and find that they get as much out of coaching as they give.
