68.

Have you ever dreamed of living with a bobcat or having a pet tiger? You’re not alone, and many people share their lives responsibly and safely with such animals. My beloved companion is a African Serval, a very affectionate 33-pound spotted feline. However, this dream come true brings with it some very real challenges and responsibilities far beyond those facing the average pet owner.A huge number of visitors to my exotic feline site are trying to make very important decisions. Should I get a exotic cat? Is this species the right fit for my family? Can I provide for one properly? There are a number of things to take into consideration when deciding if exotic cat ownership is for you, and if the answer is yes, which species of exotic cat is suitable for your situation. They include:
69. Your ability to make a lifetime commitment to an animal who may cause you considerable headaches

 70.
Your ability to be a responsible owner

 71.
Local and Federal Laws

 72.
Your financial ability to provide proper care and housing for the cat

 73.
Your level of experience in working with animals

 74.
Size of the cat

 75.
Disposition of the cat

 76.
Endangered Species Status

 77.
Owning an exotic cat requires a lifetime commitment to a cat who may live to be 20 years old. If your circumstances change, the cat develops behaviors that are unacceptable to you, or you simply grow tired of caring for it, an exotic cat cannot simply be given over to your local humane society. Being placed in a new home is much more traumatic to an exotic cat than to most domestic animals and can cause a major change in their personality. In some cases, they may never accept a new owner. Qualified people willing to take in an adult exotic cat are hard to find, and no, the local zoo will not accept your cat. Large cats such as cougars and tigers are especially hard to place.Everyone gets an animal with a certain dream in their minds about how that animal will behave, and some people cannot handle it if things turn out differently. For instance, if you want to own a tiger, you probably imagine being able to play with it and cuddle with it. That may happen; but if you undertake this responsibility you have to be prepared for the fact that you might not be able to so much as enter the cat’s enclosure safely, even if you raise him from a cub.If you are interested in getting a small cat like a bobcat or a serval, you probably imagine sharing your household with it, as many people do. But what if that cat grows up to spray everything in sight? If you’ve been researching the idea of owning an exotic cat, you’ve probably discovered how much conflicting information there is. Some sources seem to indicate that living with an exotic cat is no more challenging than feeding your pet goldfish. At the other end of the extreme spectrum, many sanctuaries and animal rights activists paint them as unmanageable creatures that no ordinary mortal could hope to deal with successfully. As is usually the case, the truth lies in a rational world between the two extremes. This site exists to provide realistic and balanced information.Like all creatures, exotic cats are all individuals, and nobody can tell you exactly how your future cat will act. Generalizations can be made about the behavior of different species, but individual personalities and behavior traits vary widely. As a dog trainer, I have seen puppies with the perfect upbringing turn out dangerously aggressive, and severely abused dogs who were stable and friendly. I have met dangerous Golden Retrievers and unprovokable Pit Bulls. It’s the same with cats; you can generalize to a certain extent, but never count on those generalizations. If you decide that you are serious about getting an exotic feline, one of the first things you need to do is learn the federal, state, county, and city laws regulating the ownership of the species you are considering in your area. Contarary to popular myth, exotic animal ownership is pretty heavily regulated. Laws and permit requirements vary widely from area to area, and owning exotic cats is banned altogether in many places. The legal issues will become vastly more complicated if you are interested in owning a cat that is endangered. While it is not impossible, the additional laws and permits that you have to contend with makes owning an endangered cat an unrealistic goal for most people.Owning an exotic cat means having to remain constantly aware of changing laws and of proposed legislation, and being prepared to fight for the continued right to own your beloved pet.Owning an exotic cat can be quite expensive. You will need to take into consideration the cost of building a secure and spacious enclosure, feeding costs, veterinary costs, the initial purchase of the kitten, and incidental expenses which seem to crop up on a continual basis. The cost of owning a smaller cat such as a serval or bobcat is more likely to be affordable than that of owning a tiger or other large cat. When you get into the large cats you will find that your feeding and enclosure costs escalate dramatically.A major consideration is the size of the cat. Some species are smaller than a domestic cat, while others reach 500 pounds. The most common species to find in a pet household is the serval, which ranges fron roughly 18-40 pounds.Owning a small cat is a more realistic goal for most people than a large cat such as a tiger. Large cats are very expensive to feed and house, heavily regulated by the federal government, and of course much more dangerous. Often keepers are unable to safely enter the enclosures of big cats once they mature. This does not mean that these animals are malicious, but a tiger or other big cat can easily injure you even in play. If you see yourself with a “pet” cat, start thinking small.Cougars are an interesting compromise in size and temperament. They are actually classified as “small cats” even though most people think of them as a big cat. They are large cats and come with all of the duties, responsibilities, and cost of owning a big cat. However, they often have very gentle and affectionate natures; of all the large felines, they are probably the species that you are most likely to be able to have a “pet-like” relationship with after they mature. For those determined to own a big cat, I would recommend a cougar over any other species, especially over a tiger.Owning an exotic feline is not for someone who spends their time in fantasyland. If you are one of those pet owners who think their dog is soooo sweet that he could never, ever harm anyone, that all animals love you because you have a “special touch” with them, or that no animal will be dangerous as an adult if you “love it enough” or “raise it right,” you have no business owning an exotic cat.You have to be able to objectively assess the safety of any decision you make, whether it involves handling your own cat, letting a family member or member of the public have contact with the cat, etc. You have to be able to say “I love Tigger with all of my heart and he loves me back, but I can tell from the playful look in his eye that if I walk into his enclosure now he might hurt me, so I choose not to.”It is important to locate a good veterinarian who is willing to treat your exotic cat before you get one. It can sometimes be difficult to find a good, experienced vet who will be willing to treat exotics. Often, vets are uncomfortable around them or dissaprove of keeping them as pets and will therefore refuse to treat them. Many clinics also lack large enough equipment to handle larger felines like cougars or tigers. Veterinary costs for an exotic cat can be higher than those for a domestic animal, especially if your cat develops a serious problem and you are referred to a specialty clinic or university. If you choose to own an exotic cat, you owe it to your cat and everyone else who owns exotics to be a responsible owner. What constitutes responsible ownership? Some of the criteria, in no particular order:
78. Provides a ample, nutritious diet suitable to the species

 79.
Provides ample housing for the cat to live in happily

 80.
Provides shelter and protection from the elements

 81.
Provides veterinary care as needed

 82.
Purchases animals from an ethical and responsible breeder

 83.
Does not neglect or abuse the animal

 84.
Provides generally pleasant living conditions and has the cat’s feelings and best interests in mind

 85.
Makes a good-faith effort to comply with all applicable laws

 86.
Takes stringent precautions to prevent the escape of the cat

 87.
Protects the cat from unauthorized contact or harassment from members of the public

 88.
Protects the safety of the public and visitors

 89.
Makes a lifetime commitment to caring for the cat

 106.

Investment in Indian Textile IndustryThe introduction of the special ‘Textile Package’ during the 2003-2004 budgets became the turning point in the history of the Indian Textile Industry. The proposals made in the budget spoke of reforms to be undertaken to attract investment in this industry. The outcome of the budget being: setting up of a fund in accordance with the recommendations of the aforesaid budget with an initial principal amount of Rs.3000 crores. The fund was especially meant for restructuring the textile sector.Reasons responsible for attracting investors in Indian Textile Industry• The size of the Indian textile industry is enormous.• The industry has been doing good since the start of this century• India’s cheap labor force has been one of the prime drivers of the industry.• India’s foreign direct investment policies are flexible in comparison to all developing countries.• 100 percent foreign direct investment permitted in the textile industryFDI is permitted via automatic route, hence offering a trouble-free way of investment. The investment does not call for approval from the government, or apex body of India. The foreign capitalists, however, have to make a notification to the regional office of the apex body after receiving the receipt of the remittance. The Ministry of Textiles has launched a special cell for attracting FDI in this sector. Objectives of the special cell for attracting FDI include:• This cell attempts to help foreign companies find partners intending to float a joint venture company to produce textile products.• FDI special cell acts as a negotiator between the foreign investors and different organizations for setting up and structuring the textile industry. The cell offers both advisory support and assistance.• A textile industry set up with the help of a foreign investor might probably lead to some problems in the future. These problems are solved by the FDI cell. Also FDI cell maintains data with total production of the textile sector. The cell also maintains classified data of production by both domestic as well as by the foreign investor. The sector is targeting US$ 6 billion foreign direct investment (FDI) by 2015 to be invested in textiles machinery, fabric and garment manufacturing, as well as technical textiles. One of the most remarkable developments took place in the month of July 2007 when Blackstone, an investment management company of USA bought 50.1 stakes of Gokaldas Exports- a local manufacturing company. The stake transfer left the promoters of Gokaldas Exports, the Hindujas with a share amounting to 20 percent.Even Indian companies are spreading their wings and making investments in a monumental manner. Arvind Mills is constructing two new industrial set ups in Bangalore and AhmedabadGlobally renowned terry towel producing company called Welspun India Ltd is building a textile plant in the state of Gujarat with the initial capital investment of US$220 million. The investment climate is becoming better and better day by day, the only hindrance being the constant appreciation of the Indian rupee against the US dollar. As a result the textile industry’s profit margin has considerably plummeted since large quantity of textile product is basically export-oriented.

 122.

Personal Injury claims the industrySince the establishment, of third party liability in Donoghue v Stevenson [1931] the law of tort has steadily evolved. The last decade has seen the law in respect of personal injury and third-party liability explode into an industry and a whole new field in which solicitors can practice. As with any industry that grows so rapidly there have been and still are some teething problems which if the client is not careful can result in financial loss and not to mention stress and huge drain on ones personal time.So what are the mistakes to avoidAs the industry grew so did the rogue’s. Initially teamed with like-minded law firms these rogue claims referral companies tied there clients into scrupulous loan agreements and unnecessary insurance policies. These loan agreement and insurance policies would then be deducted from the claimants personal injury claims compensation. This practice was highly frowned upon by the legal community and the media which later resulted in many firms and claims referral companies voluntarily setting a standard of service by joining organizations like the claims standards council. Long story cut short with the introduction of the ministry of justice this practice soon became obsolete. However till this day there are firms that still deduct a fee substitute from the claimants compensation. Make sure before you sign any agreements or give any details you clarify that no fees should be charged to you and no deductions should be made to your compensation.Whats the best route to takeIn my opinion using a good claims management company to make your personal injury claim is probably the best route. My reasoning for this advice is simply because a good claims management company will have a panel of specialist personal injury lawyers. These specialists personal injury solicitors will specialise in different area of personal injury law. Now if you have been involved in a car accident you will want a personal injury lawyer who specialises in car accident claims and not a solicitor who is jack of all trades. You wouldn’t want builder to carry out your plumbing repairs would you? Also a lot of good claims management companies insist their panel members work on a no win no fee 100% compensation basis making it a safe deal for claimants.Car accident claims and road traffic accidentsBy far one of the most popular type of personal injury claim today comes as a result of a road traffic incident. Here one party causes (also referred to as the third-party) the accident and one party or more suffers as a result. If the causation of the accident isn’t disputed by the third-party or their insurance company, the insurance company of the third party will then start to negotiates with the claimants personal injury lawyers to come to a settlement. The claimants solicitors will normally gather medical evidence to prove and assess the extent of the injury together with an assessment of damages. this will give them an indication of how much the compensation should be. At this point normally the third-party will start to make an offer or offers to settle the claim which in return will be communicated to the claimant by the solicitor. At this point the claimant can accept or reject the offer or make a counter offer. If a counter offer is made the insurance company can accept if they believe it to be reasonable or reject. If the offer or counter offer is rejected by the claimant or third-party insurers the claim can be bought to a court. If however the offer or counter of is accepted the compensation will be issued to the claimant for the personal injury claim please be advised once the offer has been accepted the claimant will not be able to pursue any further damages in respect of this personal injury claim.Accident at work or employers liability claimsAn employers liability claim or better known as accident at work claims arise when an employer neglect his duty to make sure the employee has a safe working environment which results in the employee suffering from a personal injury. In the event of such a incident the employee should ensure he follows all protocols laid down in his/her employment contract and make sure the company records the incident in the accident log/book. If there are any witnesses to the incident make sure you take down as many details as possible also make a note of as many details surrounding the accident at your earliest convenience whilst its fresh in your mind. Once you have instructed a good personal injury claims solicitor they will then start to negotiate with the employer much like the car accident claims procedure and the you the compensation you deserve.

 138.

Recently I stumbled across some notes that I had kept from a project I had been involved in which involved looking at manager behaviours. The aim of this project was to identify “preferred behaviours” in sales managers when they were working closely with their sales representatives. The outputs were interesting and helped my colleagues identify four main types of sales managers and the differences between effective and ineffective behaviours.Four Types of Manager.A few years ago when working as a coach for a multinational Pharma company my colleagues and I were given the task of designing a framework that enabled managers to work more effectively with their sales representatives out “in the field”. There had been considerable discontent from the sales representatives in that, a large proportion of them “dreaded” the “field visit” from the manager as it was deemed stressful and seen very much as an assessment and the manager “checking up” rather than being motivational and developmental. We studied the behaviours of twenty-five sales managers and interviewed both the managers and a sample of around one hundred representatives in order to come up with guidelines whereby managers (and representatives) could adapt their behaviours in order to make these field visit days far more productive than they had been previously. In this article, I will outline the four types of manager that we found were “operating” and the effect that each type had on the development and motivation of the sales representative. The “Do as I say” or “Dictator” ManagerThere were a group of managers which we termed “Dictators”. This type of manager “rules the roost” and “dictates” what should be done in his or her opinion. Listening skills are limited and they tend to take a very traditional approach to tasks. A typical response is along the lines of “Do it this way because it has worked this way in the past.”An advantage of this approach is that people know exactly where they stand and that the rules and company regulations were fully understood and guidelines were adhered to with the result that overall the team was seen as “well disciplined”. People also knew that if the rules and guidelines were not adhered to, then discipline would follow. The major challenge with this “do as I say” approach was that the representative reported that there was little risk taking and that their opinions and ideas were not listened to, and as a result they often felt frustrated, under valued and in some cases threatened.
139. The sources of this behaviour appeared varied. Firstly some of the managers were simply mirroring the behaviour of previous managers that they had had themselves and in many ways did not know any form of management. Very little management training had been given to either the senior managers or the managers themselves…When we worked with some of these managers we found that their behaviours changed very quickly and many were glad to be out of their “do as I say” role as they had never felt very comfortable with it. . Other managers, although having been trained continued to “dictate” either through fear of their own superior, an inability to influence peers and reports through collaborative discussion, and in one case, a misguided belief that their people did not have potential unless they were told what to do! The managers who continued in this fashion tended to be average performers. The “Now you see me, now you don’t” or the “Disappearing” Manager. This group we found was the largest group within the twenty-five that we observed. Characterised by seemingly always having other things to do, this group appeared not to like to spend days visiting the sales representatives. They seemed to attend endless meetings, trips to head office and were apparently more comfortable spending time in front of the computer writing reports or pouring through sales figures.A day “in the field” usually consisted of a quick visit, meeting up late morning, chatting over a cup of coffee, perhaps suffering a visit to one customer before having a “discussion” over lunch and then heading off back to a report or meeting. This type of manager always seemed to want to keep the mobile on during visits – “I’m waiting for an important call” was a favourite catch phrase.Representatives reported back that this type of manager was the most frustrating. Very little time was spent with the representative and when there was there was time spent there was usually very little coaching and review. The time was spent either idly chatting or issuing directives. It was as if the representative was un-important or perhaps because the manager was uncomfortable listening to the reps ideas and challenges. This might bring about change and impact on the manager’s routine!
140. The man reason for this type of behaviour we found was that these managers were on a succession plan. They were only going to be in the job for a sort period because the company had identified them as having future potential elsewhere in the organisation. The sales manager position was a stepping-stone to higher things and as such these managers were not given enough training and coaching and were also stretched in that some of them still had Head Office projects. Some of the “Disappearers” though simply were not able to handle their immediate manager and as such jumped at every request that was made by the senior manager. They had to attend every meeting, write every report and answer every voicemail and e-mail in order to keep in the senior manager’s “good books”. This group in the main needed to basic managerial training and training in how to influence their senior managers. The “Let me Do It” or the “Super Salesperson” Manager -(The “Demonstrator”)The main characteristic of this type of manager was their inability to let people work for themselves. This type of manager would love to get back into the field and would do as many field visits as possible. They actually missed the customer contact and when out with the sales rep would immediately engage the customer and “take over” the sales call. Very little coaching would be done and the manager would tend to tell the representative the best way to do things based on his or her experience and success.
141. Again, many representatives found this behaviour frustrating and annoying. Firstly, they actually saw far too much of the manager and secondly, when the manager tookover the sales call they felt that their integrity in the eyes of the customer was being threatened. Sometimes the customer felt very uncomfortable also.Having said that many representatives reported that actually watching this manager operate did help them as the manager more often than not had been a good sales executive and sales did tend to improve as a result of the representative implementing what they had observed. This type of manager really has to learn to let go. They have to learn that they are no longer sales representatives themselves and that they must empower their team to deliver the sales. They should be coaching their representatives more, as opposed to always showing them how to do it. This is OK with some of the younger less experienced reps whose capability is low but this type of approach with experienced more able reps can usually be counter-productive.The Coaching Manager. – (The “Developer”)The Coaching Manager takes time with his or her people. Field visits are planned in advance, Agreements as to what each person wants to achieve out the day are reached and objectives are set and reviewed. Time is taken to plan good quality sales calls and time is also put aside in order to discuss the business plan and also to work through any ideas and challenges that the sales rep may have.A full day will be spent whenever possible and the manager will coach the representative to assist them in identifying their objectives and also coach them through how best they are going to achieve them. Coaching will also take place when reviewing how the sales call went and good quality feedback will be given in order to raise the sales representative’s awareness of their skills and interactions. The coaching manager will be seen as support but will also be seen as the manager and not just a “friend”. Sometimes the feedback will be tough but because there is mutual respect the sales representative will realise that the manager is giving constructive feedback in order to assist them in their development and ultimate success. The coaching manager will be skilled in using behavioural analysis, the skill/will matrix, motivational models and coaching models such as GROW and OUTCOMES®.Unfortunately our research showed that only two out of the group of twenty-five came anywhere near our ideal coaching manager. Those two managers were seen as role models and as such their representatives looked forward to them visiting them on a regular basis. Needless to say the sales results of the teams involved were excellentAllan Mackintosh ©2004 All rights reserved

 157.

We have heard countless of times before that health is wealth. The problem is, we have gotten so used to this adage that we tend to take it for granted. And in this day and age where our environment is full of toxins, becoming and remaining healthy is easier said than done. The Fact of the matter is: toxins are all around us and there is no way of escaping them. It is simply not enough to have a wholesome lifestyle these days. It is important to assist our bodies to help eliminate toxins. Our bodies have the natural ability to eliminate toxins with the aid of important organs such as the liver, kidneys and the lower gastrointestinal tract. The problem is, our bodies can only take too much toxins. This is the reason why, we need external processes for detoxification. If you have noticed, spas and health institutions have already made detoxification a regular part of their services. There are also portable detoxification techniques that are available in stores and that you can use at home. Two of the most effective detoxification methods that have emerged in recent years are the ionic foot spa and ionic foot patches.Foot detox devices are the latest trends in the health and wellness industry. You may be asking why target the foot for detoxification purposes? This is because the foot has over 60 reflexology points that can be triggered to aid the different organs of the body to get rid of accumulated toxins. The ionic foot spa is one of the safest, most comfortable and affordable way to detoxify. It is a fact that not everyone can go to a spa regularly for a detoxification procedure. The portable ionic foot spa makes detoxification accessible to a wider segment of society.Ionic foot spa offers a detoxification method that is comparable with instructional detox programs at a fraction of the price of a full treatment. With an ionic foot spa, you can perform the detox procedure at the comfort of your own home. You may want to know how an ionic foot spa works. The process is actually simple. The ionic foot spa sends negatively charged particles or ions into the body. In turn, these ions remove the positively charged ions in the body. Getting rid of these positively charged ions is important since they are the major source of the imbalances in the body. During the treatment, you will see that the water of the foot spa will get murkier. This is because of the toxins that have been eliminated from your body.Another effective yet easy and affordable detoxification technique is through ionic foot patches. These patches contain active natural ingredients that activate the body’s lymphatic system to help the body get rid of toxins. And to use ionic foot patches is easy. You only need to put it on at night before you sleep. When you wake up, you will notice that the color and smell of the patch has changed. This is because of the expelled toxins from the body.If you think it is hard and expensive to become healthy, think again. With the ionic foot spa and ionic foot patches, health and wellness is now within your reach. The Benefits of Detoxification:The Ionic Foot Detoxify initiates the process of rebalancing your body’s bio-energy. Effectively re-balancing the cells equilibrium of positive and negative ions which, in turn, ‘kick starts’ the dispersal of the unwanted toxins. The renewed re-balancing of the cells ensures re-hydration resulting in optimum efficiency of their function to extract nutrients and dispose of unwanted waste. The result will be renewed energy levels, both physical and mental, with a general feeling of well being.

 173.

I don’t know if it’s the holidays approaching or my Dad’s birthday which just passed, but something has been making me even more aware than usual of the mind, body and spirit connection to our overall well being. Don’t worry, this will tie into Anti-Aging Skin Care, just keep reading. I’ve written many articles about how stress and every day life choices can impact the appearance of our skin. Today I’m going to talk a bit about how our appearance is impacted by what we think, feel, and believe. I think we can all agree that everyone looks better, even healthier when they smile apposed to when they are angry, anxious, nervous, scared, sad etc. Just that simple change doesn’t only make us look different, it also makes us feel better. I believe that what we believe becomes our destiny. If we truly believe we can achieve, then we will achieve, if we believe we are lovable then we will give love more freely and be loved in return. If we believe in a life filled with hope and success that is what we will create. This is the time of year I look back over the year, evaluate where I’ve been, where I’m headed and how I’m going to get there. I can’t help but notice that people who have a firm grasp (not my best quality) on what is and isn’t important are much happier, more carefree, and have a glow about them which I admire.Life is an adventure, a journey that unfolds in the most unexpected ways. Enjoy the ride and be grateful for the lessons. I like to view my life as a passenger, waiting for what is around the next bend with excitement and anticipation. Of course I don’t just let my life “happen” while I sit back and observe it from the outside looking in…I participate.I’ve learned that pain, difficult as it is, can be an opening to something wonderful as much as it is also a closure to something else. Life is always on the move, try to keep up. To fully experience life we must be truly open to the tearfulness as well as the exhilaration. Life in balance. It’s a powerful skill to be able to accept the evolving nature of life. This is a work in progress for all of us.This season find gratitude for all that is good in your life. You are much more than what you think you are. Take that leap of faith with me, follow your visions and dreams and be a participant in the greatest investigation ever known…….your life is what you make it.Your skin will glow on the outside when the inside is healthy!Happy Holidays Everyone! I thank you all for the opportunity to be trusted with your skin care needs.

 188.

When evaluating air and hotel travel packages offered by internet travel vendors, it’s crucial that you investigate all of the details before you book. Many of these offers are legitimate and do allow for some savings. You just need to take the time to compare offers and prices to make sure you really are getting a great deal.If airfare and hotel accommodation are your primary concerns, you probably won’t need an “all-inclusive” package, unless it seems to offer things you know for sure you’ll really be using, such as fast Wi-Fi and dining discounts at your favorite restaurant(s). Some “bundle” deals also include car rental, in addition to air and hotel. You can combine any of the two or all three when you book your trip online.Oftentimes it’s recommended that you wait for a last minute deal to become available before making reservations. If you’re not picky with the dates, this might be a good option for you. If you can only travel on specific dates, however, it might be a bad idea to risk it. What if a last minute deal doesn’t pop up and you are left without a reservation since you waited so long? When you simply cannot be flexible with the travel dates, booking air and hotel travel packages well in advance is a smart thing to do. Find out how much travel expenses cost for your destination during the time of year you plan to travel. The tourist season varies depending on the location, although rates in most places are reasonably low during winter months (aside from Thanksgiving / Christmas / New Years).Air and Hotel Packages Inclusions and ExclusionsMake sure you know exactly what the package does and does not include. Even an all inclusive package doesn’t cover things like airport baggage handling, spa services, off-site activities and tours, and gift shop items. Tipping may or may not be included, so read the policy beforehand.Air and hotel travel packages tend to have minimum stay requirements. This could be anywhere from two nights to seven nights. Keep this in mind if your vacation dates are set in stone and there is no room for flexibility. Also note that the price you are presented with when viewing a travel package is usually intended per person. Do the math to find out if it really will be cheaper than buying 2+ plane tickets separately from the hotel room.If you live near more than one airport, see if there is a price difference in air and hotel travel packages between all of the airports you can easily get to. Even if they are in the same state or region, some of the packages might be cheaper than the others. The simplest and fastest way to find air and hotel travel packages is by looking over online deals. You can also sign up to receive alerts on all of the newest deals on dream vacations, from cruises to all-inclusive Caribbean resorts.

 203.

From different surveys, it is seen that the number of customers taking payday loan as well as payday lending companies are increasing frequently. If you are a person taking the payday loan for the first time or want to gather information regarding payday loan, then this article will be of great help to you.Definition of payday loan:-Payday loan is a very short term loan. Usually the term is 1-2 weeks. There are other names of payday loan like – “Cash Advance”, “Paycheck loan”, “Check loans”, and “Payroll advance loans”. After you get your paycheck, the loan is to be repaid. If you can not repay the loan amount plus lender’s charges for payday loan on your payday, you can rollover the loan amount by paying extra fees to the lender plus you have to pay the interest along with for the rollover period. So, payday loan can be termed a “Loan Sharking”.Necessity of payday loan:-By the end of the month, you may face some problems in maintaining some urgent family expenses like paying off your Medical Bills, Phone Bills, and Electric Bills, House Rent or some other utility bills. If you fail to repay the loan on the scheduled date then you may have to ask the lender to rollover your loan amount.Alternatives to payday loan:-
214. 2. You may also save certain amount of money from your paycheck every time you get it.
215. 3. Before taking a payday loan cash advance, you should be looking for a loan from a friend or relative as they will not take any interest for lending the money to you. Another thing is also involved here that if you not be able to repay the money in future, you may not have to run away from your creditors.

 230.

Building regulations and planning permission”My garden and my rules” is unfortunately not exactly the way it works with setting up a summer house or any other building in your garden. Whether you need to apply for a planning permit or not depends on the size and height of the building, ways of use, location in the garden and other details. There are two separate issues when considering a new garden building – Building Regulations and Planning Permission. In most cases, if the building has an internal floor space up to 15m² and its overall height is less than 2.5m, it is very unlikely that you’ll need any Building Regulations or Planning Permissions at all. Even if your garden building is within the limits, it is still wise to contact your local planning office and get all the answers to your questions. This will give you peace of mind to be sure that everything goes to plan with your new garden office or a hobby room. Should your desired summer house or a garden room exceed the limits, don’t worry and don’t give up your dream! In this case you should call or visit your local planning office and get a proper instruction of what you need to do in order to meet all the rules and get the required permissions. Our previous experience with clients getting planning permission for larger garden buildings, is that it takes no more than 4-6 weeks.Peculiarities of wooden buildings. Proper care. Wood is a natural material, growing and adapting depending on the temperature, humidity and other weather conditions especially during the first month after the assembly. It is common that you must adjust doors and windows a few times during the first month after the wooden cabin has been erected and then once or twice in a year to keep them functioning properly. Small cracks, knots and color tone differences are not errors but inherent qualities of wood. It is important to treat your garden house with wood preservative stain or other protective coatings straight after the assembly. Untreated wood becomes grayish, and can turn blue and become moldy or rot. We recommend that you treat floor boards with a wood impregnation agent before installation, especially the bottom sides of the boards, because after the assembly you have no more access to that side. Having been properly treated, your log cabin’s lifespan has been increased significantly. It is wise to inspect your summer house once in the year and retreat accordingly to the instructions set by the wood preservative manufacturer.Size of your garden buildingIt is very important to think about the use of your garden building and buy the right size. Wooden summer houses are something we want you to enjoy for many years and not just a season. Therefore we would recommend you involve all the family members or users of the summer house, ask everybody’s opinion and make a collective decision. What will I get, what is inside the package and how are the log cabins are delivered?Your log cabin or garden building will be delivered in water proof packages, so that they will not be influenced or damaged by the weather during the shipping or if your packed summer house or garden office stays packaged for several weeks outside before the installation. Delivery of your order is curbside delivery and the driver is not able to assist with the unpacking of your garden building. The size of vehicle and method of delivery will depend on the size of the building you have ordered. It will be delivered on a vehicle equipped with one of the following facilities: tail lift, forklift truck or hiab crane able to unload and move heavy packages (700-2500 kilos). All wooden details and panels have been prefabricated, precut and ready to install (like a giant Lego set!). Standard log cabin kit consists of impregnated foundation beams, untreated wall logs / panels and other wooden details, roof and floor boards, windows and doors, roofing felt, screws, nails and other fixings, storm braces, user manual and assembly instructions. All details are numbered to make assembly as easy as possible. All you need to supply is the tools!Foundations / Base for your Garden BuildingRequired foundation type depends on the size of your garden building and the firmness of the ground in your garden. The easiest and cheapest foundation type is concrete slabs set on sand and gravel. This foundation type is fairly simple to construct and can be done by a DIY novice without having to hire in a professional. This type of base is suitable for smaller cabins up to 10 m2. To achieve this base you will need to dig out 25-30 cm ground, fill it with gravel and then a good layer of sand to provide a level surface. Then, finally lay down the concrete slabs, blocks or similar. It is vital that your base is level as your cabin will only be as level as your base! The most popular, but more expensive and durable foundation type is a concrete base. A concrete base is a perfect fit for all types of garden buildings. For preparing that kind of base you will probably need to hire a local professional or small building company, because concrete foundations involve more know-how and you really have to know what you are doing. These two are the most popular foundation types for garden buildings, but there many other ways to do it. It is good to consult with local experts before you choose, taking in to account the firmness of the existing ground and size of your intended building. Whatever your choice, you have to know that a firm and level foundation is crucial! If you fail with the foundation you will fail with your entire garden building. Twisted walls and non functioning doors and windows as well as very short life span and voided warranty will mean you do not enjoy your garden building!Self assembly or hiring a building company? The assembly of most garden buildings, summer houses and log cabins is achievable by a competent DIY enthusiast. Especially small and mid-sized summer houses and sheds up to 8-12 m2. We would always recommend that two people undertake the assembly and that care is taken with lifting as some of the panels are heavy. Our statistics show that 85% of our clients do the assembly themselves or hire one local expert for assistance to make sure that everything goes well. For the assembly of your garden building you need at least 2 adults, tools (hammer, saw, pliers, drill, screwdriver, measuring tape, ladder, knife and spirit-level) and not forgetting 1-3 days of your precious time, depending on your skills and the size of your log cabin. If, at least, you or your companion is familiar with fixing some things at home or doing some small DIY projects in the garden, assembly with prefabricated details, proper installation instructions and user manual should be achievable for you. But, if you are not confident in your DIY ability or just don’t fancy the assembly then we would recommend you hire a local professional.Wall thicknessMost popular wall thicknesses for garden buildings are 28 mm, 40 mm, 44 mm and 50 mm. You can find 19 mm walls on the market, but these are mostly very small tool sheds or very poor garden houses with a very short life span. We would not recommend you to go for less than 28 mm wall thickness. 28 mm walls are usually single tongue and groove logs and suitable for storage sheds and smaller garden houses up to 8-9 m2. If you are after a smaller garden building with a very affordable price, these garden rooms and storage sheds with 28mm wall thickness are a smart choice. 40-50 mm wall logs have double tongue & groove and with these walls you can easily go for 20 m2 garden buildings and even larger. Compared to the 28 mm walls they are not only sturdier but also provide better insulation and a really solid feel. As a conclusion, 28mm walls are more than enough for storage sheds and 4-9 m2 garden summer houses, but if you are looking for a larger building with better insulation make sure you choose walls 40mm or thicker.Single or double glazed windows? If you intend to use your wooden cabin mostly during the summer season then you do not need the expense of double glazed windows. Single glazed windows are usually 3mm glass and come without sealing. Single glazed windows are mostly used for smaller garden buildings with 28-40 mm wall thickness. In particular 28 mm walls have pretty poor insulation and using double glazing for these walls does not make any material difference. If you would like to use your garden building all year round, we would suggest you may like to consider insulating the roof and floor. In addition, we would recommend the use of double glazed windows. Double glazed windows are sealed by the factory and have good insulation properties. As a general rule, garden buildings with with less than 40 mm wall thickness have single glazed windows and all garden log cabins with 40 – 50 mm wall thickness and up come with double glazed windows.Multi-functional log cabinsOne garden building with several functions helps you to save money and space in your garden. Buying a summer house with terrace is a significantly lower cost than buying a garden room and a gazebo or a summer house with shed compared to the price you pay when buying them separately. So, before you buy, get your family together and think about all the needs and functions that could be useful and make your garden life brighter and more versatile with one smart multi-functional garden building. Can I use my garden log cabin all year round?Yes you can, but if you intend to use your garden building all year round (garden office, hobby room, table tennis or billiards room or others), we would recommend a building with 40mm and above wall thickness. Make sure that windows have double glazing and insulate the floor and roof. There are 4 areas to be insulated: floor, walls, roof and windows. Choice of materials that you can use for insulating your garden house is very wide, depending on your local weather conditions, your budget and ways of use. It is also very important to choose the right foundation type and insulate the floor first. Having a layer of insulation beneath the floor boards will contribute towards keeping the contents of the garden house toasty. Roof insulation is crucial, because of the fact that warm air rises and approximately 35-40% of warmth exits through the uninsulated roof. Then walls, windows and heating if necessary. Installing a log burner in your garden building is a great way to ensure you get year round use. You may get a burner that you can cook on too! It is obviously important that any combustion device is installed by a professional installer and that ventilation requirements are met and functioning carbon monoxide and smoke detectors are installed in your garden building.
