  94. <p>On Thursday, e-discovery, information governance and data recovery company KLDiscovery announced that it reached an agreement with creditors that will reduce the company’s debt load and allow it to continue operating without having to make a mandated debt repayment in excess of $260 million next month.</p>
  95. <p>In a financial filing in March, KLDiscovery noted that the looming debt repayments raised doubt about its “ability to continue as a going concern,” and at the time, said that it did not have “sufficient cash on hand or available liquidity to repay” its debt.</p>

  711. <p>U.S. Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker of the Southern District of New York on Thursday ordered the law firm seeking to withdraw from representing former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in a pregnancy discrimination lawsuit to provide more information about the alleged deterioration in its relationship with its client.</p>
  712. <p>Parker wrote that the declaration accompanying the motion to withdraw, which was filed by LaRocca Hornik partner Jared Blumetti on Friday, was “insufficient to grant withdrawal at this time.”</p>

  761. <p>Attorneys with Greenberg Traurig, the National Jewish Advocacy Center, Schoen Law Firm, and Holtzman Vogel have filed a lawsuit on behalf of the victims of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, accusing particular groups for the recent propaganda division in the United States.</p>
  762. <p>The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia against AJP Educational Foundation, also known as American Muslims for Palestine, and National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), and accuses the groups of serving as propaganda for Hamas, which is designated by the U.S. as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. The complaint seeks compensatory damages for nine American and Israeli victims from the Oct. 7 attack, including survivors and family members, and civilians still displaced by the ongoing conflict.</p>

  837. <p>A lawsuit filed Jan. 30, 2024, is challenging two new California climate disclosure and financial reporting laws, Senate Bill (SB) 253 and SB 261, for unconstitutionally requiring disclosure by qualifying public and privately-held businesses of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and climate-related risks throughout their value chain. Plaintiffs, which include a number of businesses and industry associations, allege violations of the First Amendment, Supremacy Clause, and other constitutional limitations against the California Air Resources Board (CARB).</p>

  839. <p><span style="font-weight: 400">California enacted two landmark climate disclosure and financial reporting laws in 2023: the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253) and the Climate-Related Financial Risk Act (SB 261). Collectively known as the Climate Accountability Package, these new laws impose unprecedented reporting requirements on large U.S. public and privately-held companies doing business in California.</span></p>
