Are you using the right keywords to optimize your website?
In many cases websites are optimized for the wrong SEO keywords. You need to do the research to find out what SEO keyword phrases people actually use to search for businesses in your particular field. In many cases you will discover that SEO keyword phrases that you thought were important are in fact rarely searched for; the opposite is also true. How well does your website show up well in Google, Yahoo, Ask and Bing?
You should test the effect of searching for your SEO keywords on a regular basis in all the major search engines. Your website position in the search engines will fluctuate and needs regular monitoring.Website Title – The single most important onsite SEO factor.
The web page title is very important. It should be relevant, the correct length and different on every page within the website. It is surprising how often we see inappropriate web page titles, no titles at all or a title that says something stupid like “HOME’ or in the case of really lazy website designers ‘TITLE GOES HERE’. Use a different title for each page within your website. Remember that search engines list pages, not websites, so each page is a fresh SEO opportunity.Website Description.
Tell Google what your page is about. As with the web page title, in many cases the Description is missing or incorrectly used.Website SEO Keywords.
While many search engines no longer use Keyword Meta tags, some still do, and they should accurately reflect page content, but you must be careful not to use too many of them.Broken links will harm your SEO efforts.
This is the number one error that we find when auditing websites. You click on a link within the website and you see an error message telling you that the page cannot be found. This delivers a very unprofessional image to people visiting your website. It is likely that Google will also mark you down in the search engine rankings, as Google expects technically perfect websites. There is no excuse for broken links within a website. Broken image links are also a common error found within websites. Instead of a picture being displayed you will see a broken image logo. Again this is easily checked for by professional website designers and there is no reason for a website to have broken image links.Picture only websites are disastrous for SEO.
Sometimes you will visit a website that appears to be displaying the usual mixture of text and pictures, but on closer inspection, even the text is actually contained within a picture. If there is no real text displayed within a website, Google has no clue what the website is about and the website will feature very poorly in the search engine results. There are ways to partly fix this, using what are called ‘Alt’ tags, used in combination with the website title and description, but as a rule your website should contain lots of relevant text. This is what Google likes! No relevant SEO keywords in a page.
If your website content fails to mention your product or service, it is not surprising that your website ranks poorly within Google. There are lots of tricks relating to where you place your keywords on a page and that is what we excel at. Simply stuffing a page with keywords will not achieve the desired result, and may even hurt your listing within Google, as it may interpret too many keywords as an attempt to spam the search engine listings. Google takes a very dim view of attempts to spam it.Number of back links
A very important SEO factor. Do you know how many other websites link to your website? Google does. The more links to your website, the better. Also the quality and source of the links is important to Google. If you suddenly gain hundreds of links overnight, this can trip the spam alert at the search engines and you can end up in a worse position within the search engines than before you started any SEO activities on your website.Google Page Rank.
Do you know what your Google Page Rank number is? In fact do you know what the Google Page Rank means? Google rates all sites using hundreds of different criteria and comes up with a number for your website. 0 is bad while 10 is the highest value. The higher the Page Rank the more likely that your website will show up higher within the Google search engine results. Many websites we audit have a page rank of 0 or 1, which is not good! Install the Google toolbar to view your website’s PageRank.Alt tags.
Great for your website’s SEO. Alt tags (short for Alternative tags) are a way of telling Google what a picture is about. As far as Google is concerned a picture is just a picture. Google does not know what a picture is about, unless you specifically tell Google using an Alt tag. It is amazing how few website designers go to the bother of using alt tags, which is a pity, as proper use of alt tags can have a big influence on your listing within the Google search engine results.Ease of Navigation and menu issues.
Many websites are hard to navigate. This means that it may be difficult to move from page to page, or back to the home page. This is such an important aspect for your website visitors and it is a shame that we see so many poorly constructed menu systems. Google may also find it hard to navigate your website and categorize each webpage which can harm your SEO efforts.Spell checking and grammatical issues.
It is vital that you check the spelling within your website. The correct use of grammar is also important. If your website is full of these types of errors, it gives a poor impression. Your company looks unprofessional. Correct spelling is also important for Google.Flash and java issues.
If your website uses flash or java to enable website navigation, make sure that you use the technology carefully as you may find that some search engines are unable to follow the links and as a result will not list most of your website pages within their search engine listings.Google Analytics.
This is a free tool from Google that allows you to analyze visitors to your website and track how they interact with your website. Has your website been enabled to show Google analytics data? If not you are missing out on a vital source of information about your website.Heading tags.
Proper use of heading tags within your HTML code can play a vital role in onsite keyword SEO. Many websites we audit are completely devoid of any heading tags. Try and use 2 or 3 levels of headers.Open Directory Project.
Did you know that a submission to the Open Directory Project is one of the most valuable links you can get in terms of your website’s SEO? They reject most sites and only accept sites that are technically near perfect and contain high quality information, presented through a professionally designed interface that is easy to navigate. How many pages of your website are indexed in Google?
Do you know how to see exactly how many pages that make up your website are listed within Google? You would expect Google to know about your home page, but the more pages within your website that Google knows about, the better. For example a large website promoted by us, has 10,300 pages listed within Google.W3C validation.
W3C is an organization that sets website standards. Do you know if your website passes W3C validation?File names.
The name of a file can be a valuable clue to Google, as to what the file contains. For instance if you have a picture of a motor car and the picture file is called 0001.JPG this does not tell Google anything. On the other hand if the file was called CARS-FOR-SALE-IN-PERTH.JPG, then this can help considerably with your website SEO. The same principle applies to the naming of all files and folders within your website.PDF file size Issues.
If you use PDF files, there are many ways of reducing the size of the final PDF file. The larger the file size the slower the PDF file will load on the screen or download to a hard disk.Do all the major search engines know about your website?
Remember that apart from Google there are a few other search engines that your website should be listed in, such as Yahoo, Bing and Ask.Flash file sizes.
The larger the size of your flash file, the longer it will take to load. Many sites use flash banners that have enormous file sizes. This can be very frustrating for your visitors.Google Places page.
This is a fantastic way of getting your website listed in the local service or products section within the Google results. The majority of websites do not use this feature at all and many of those that do use it do not take full advantage of the SEO opportunities afforded by the Google Places feature.Flash or graphical intro pages.
How often have you visited a website to be greeted by a meter that tells you a flash introduction screen is loading, which often seem to take forever to load and once they do load actually display little relevant information. If you are lucky you can click on a ‘skip intro’ button. Do not use intro pages as they just annoy website visitors and can harm your website SEO.Text used within links (anchor text).
The correct use of keyword text within a hyperlink can play a significant part in your on-page keyword SEO strategy. In many cases this SEO opportunity is wasted when the hyperlink contains words such as ‘click here’.Home page file size.
Do you know the combined file size of your home page? By combined, I mean not just the HTML page itself, but all the associated graphic, CSS and flash files. The longer a page takes to load, the more likely a visitor will click on the Back button and visit a different website.Java issues.
If a visitor to your website has disabled Java in their local browser, how will this affect your website? Will the menu systems still work? If you must use Java, at least have an alternate menus system that visitors can use. Search engines may have difficulty following some types of Java based menu systems.Do not use hidden text to try and trick the search engines.
Everyone knows that having keywords on your web page is important as far as SEO is concerned. A very old trick is to have lists of your keywords repeated over and over at the bottom of the page, formatted to display in white text on a white background. Google hates this type of spamming and is on the lookout for it. Far from improving your website’s position with the Google Search Engines results, you could find that your website gets severely penalized by Google. Do not try spamming Google, they will find out!

Welcome back to Part 2 of “New Year, New Decade, New Staffing Software!” If you are reading this article, you may have caught Part 1 which discussed how to begin your search for new staffing software. Part 2 will dive into questions not to overlook, what to avoid as you narrow down your search, and how to plan for a smooth implementation.Questions Not to Overlook In the beginning stages of your search, you are demoing and checking off which software’s have your “must have” items. You are looking at the overall workflow, the layout, picturing yourself using the software, and more. There are two important factors though that are often overlooked when evaluating software solutions: Security and Support.SecurityOften times security is ignored when evaluating software solutions. It is an absolute MUST to ask the software provider how they will secure your data. The biggest mistake is to assume your data is safe. Never assume! Software providers invest in different tiers of security. You are putting your staffing company at risk of a breach if you don’t ask these key questions before signing on the dotted line:

Where is your data stored and what Tier Data Center is it stored in? Tier 3 and 4 data centers provide the highest security.

Is the data stored in multiple Data Centers?

Who manages the Data Center and how often is your data backed up?

Is the Data Center certified/audited?

What type of anti-virus/anti-malware software do they use?

If data security is a foreign language to you (as it is to most of us), I recommend doing research on Data Center’s and anti-virus/anti-malware software to help you as you are asking these questions.SupportAs with any technology solution, good customer support is critical whether you need to reach out a lot or just every once in a while. Staffing software complement’s your everyday tasks and is essential for your workflow. If you have an issue or a question, it’s important to be able to contact Support easily and hear back in a timely fashion. At the end of the day, you are looking for a partner that will be easy to work with and Support is a big component of that. Bad Support will make the whole user experience miserable. So how do you know if you are forming a good partnership?Below are key questions to ask:

Is Support included in your contract?

How quickly do you hear a response back?

Do you have to log a ticket before speaking with anyone?

Is Support available 24/7?

Do you get a person or a robot when you call?

Is training and other resources available to help you learn the software?

What to avoid as you narrow down your search Don’t Settle for Cheap and Avoid Hidden Costs While everyone likes to save money, don’t settle with a solution just because it is the cheapest option. New software is a big change so you want to make sure you go with a quality product that will help your business grow. The last thing you want to do is settle for an inexpensive option and then be going through the process all over again. The other circumstance you want to avoid is paying for hidden costs. The solution may be cheaper upfront, but are there costs you will need to pay throughout your subscription? If there are other fees you are paying during your subscription then it could all amount to the same price once all said and done. Also be cautious of any big offer promotions you are receiving. If they are giving their products and services away, while offering superior service, what’s the catch?Choosing a Solution that Isn’t Streamlined When choosing a new software, you want the solution to make your processes more efficient and help grow your business. Considering a solution that is both a CRM/ATS and integrates with your back office and web portals will help streamline your processes. There is no need to toggle between multiple programs. An all-in-one solution will eliminate multiple data entries, lower your risk of losing data, and help you gain access to “big picture” reports for critical business decisions. Avoid the headache and setbacks of having multiple solutions. How do you plan for a smooth implementation? You’ve asked all the right questions, you received references, you have been dreaming about the new software, and you signed the contract. What’s next? Planning for a smooth implementation! There are several things you want to make sure you do to allow for a smooth transition. While it may seem like the hard part is over, implementing the software is the last, but most critical step.First, you will need to decide what data you are bringing over to the new software. Chances are you might have old/bad data that doesn’t need to be brought over. Only bring the data that you need. Before the conversion, the software company will provide you with a detailed document of what will be converted and where it will go in the new system. They will also provide you with a quote and estimated number of hours it will take to convert the data. This is the time to ask any questions you may have. You want to make sure you know exactly what is being converted and the estimated cost so there is no confusion down the line. From an internal perspective, it is important for the entire team to embrace the new software. The software will most likely be very different then what you are used to using. The workflow, the way you fill job orders, the way you create new contacts, even the terminology may all be different. No matter how different it is though, it is important to fully commit to the new software. Don’t follow old workflows or former ways of doing tasks. After all, you switched software’s for a reason.During the transition, it is also essential that top management consults with the team to stay patient. Implementing a new system takes time and effort. It’s key that everyone takes the time to learn the software and receive training. A big mistake, is skipping out on training. You will be lost, confused, less efficient, and have a million questions. Being properly trained is key to a smooth transition, as you are acclimating your entire company to a new software. The last step before you officially transition over, is creating a Policy Manual for your employees. This is a short booklet that instructs your team how to use the software. The booklet should outline how to use the software for major tasks. Include what codes you want used, what data must be entered, best practices, etc. The entire team should be using the software the same way, otherwise there will not be a consistent workflow. A manual makes it crystal clear, how to do all major tasks.

A Forex trading course is designed to take you from being a novice, with no experience in the Forex markets, to becoming a consistent and profitable Forex trader. Learning how to trade isn’t going to happen in 2 days, it requires time and experience to master trading strategies. Please understand that a Forex trading course must be more than just an event across one weekend.Let’s start with the obvious…Why do you need a Forex trading course? You may be thinking about learning how to trade Forex, or perhaps you may have already begun. It doesn’t seem that hard, you buy when the market is low, and you sell when the market is high. Sounds simple right? Wrong! If you start trying to trade the Forex markets without any form of a Forex trading course or education, you’re likely to lose a lot of money very quickly. Remember as Benjamin Franklin once said ‘an investment in education always pays the highest interest’. Learn how to trade the markets profitably by learning to trade with a Forex trading course. You will gain a concrete foundation in market direction and understanding of price action trading strategies. A good Forex trading course will also cover risk management or money management which is essential to keep you as protected as possible when you’re learning how to trade Forex. What should be in a good Forex trading course?1. Time to Learn How to Trade A first-class Forex trading course should be accessible to you for a period of time, allowing you time to digest content and practice in the markets. You need to be able to refresh your knowledge as you grow as a trader.2. Trading Strategies, with resultsLet me be clear, learning how to trade Forex is not about finding the ‘Holy Grail’ trading system. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. A trading course should teach you a few trading strategies and an approach that have been traded over a period of time and in different market conditions. It should provide live results and back tested results of its trading strategies and be able to prove it has worked in the past and is working right now.Forex trading course strategies should be rule based, so that you have predefined entry/exit criteria, or at least a couple to choose from, not just a ‘use your gut feeling’ approach. When you begin trading Forex you lack the experience to make decisions on ‘gut feeling’ but anyone at any experience level is fully capable to be given a set of predefined rules and follow them, step by step. Rule based strategies will help you stay disciplined when you’re learning how to trade as it’s just a matter of following a checklist, or set of rules.3. Keep it SimpleA good Forex trading course should be simple; many beginners find this hard to comprehend. Many new traders make the mistake in thinking the flashier, more technical, more data the better it will work. This is not the case and a trading course should be able to get to the point and only teach you what works and what matters. A trading course should cover basic technical analysis, price action trading, and not be based on having loads of different indicators on your charts. You need to make sure that what you’re learning is based on price action, as it is the most important thing on the charts.Do you want fries with that… the extra goodies. When learning how to trade the more support the better. Find a Forex training course that gives you the entire package. The more insight you can get from an experienced professional trader the better. Trade alerts, daily market updates and a direct support line will ensure you continue to grow as a Forex trader and don’t miss money making opportunities.Understand that it’s not a race. You’ll hit that eureka moment when you understand that trading the markets profitably is not a race, or something that you can come first place in. You have to spend time in the markets to really become self-assured and consistent at what you’re doing. Good Forex trading courses will make you aware of this, while some of the poorer ones will tell you it’s feasible to make 20% next month. Of course it’s feasible, the same as anything’s possible, but it’s a bit more probable that ‘pigs will fly’, than you making 20% growth on your trading account your very first month. If you’re simply profitable in your first month, you’re doing extremely well. A reputable Forex trading course will make you aware of this, and help you to grow as a trader so that you can become consistently profitable using price action trading methods. And RememberArmed with the correct knowledge and strategies trading Forex can be very worthwhile. Like anything you need to learn how to do it before you start to do it and like anything that will cost money. The best thing, a Forex trading course doesn’t need to nor should it cost $5000 or anything absurd like that. Companies charging thousands are more likely making money from selling courses, than trading profitably and those should be approached with caution.

As a small business owner it’s our natural tendency to approach everything with a hint of skepticism. There are so many ‘next big things’ that it’s oftentimes difficult to distinguish between a passing trend and a legitimate evergreen marketing strategy for a small business.Skepticism or no, I’m willing to bet that by now you’ve started seriously eyeing Internet marketing for small business as a viable addition to your advertising repertoire; you’re starting to realize that this is something worth jumping on.Let’s face it – Your competitors are doing it, so you should do it too lest you unknowingly give up a foothold in your niche.Wait Just a Minute – What is Internet Marketing, Exactly? Before we go any further I think it’s worth taking some time to clarify exactly what we’re referring to when we say ‘Internet Marketing’. If you’ve done any research at all on the topic of small business online marketing, you’ve probably seen a wide array of terms thrown about. It can be very confusing to learn anything at all about Internet marketing with a seemingly endless amount of ideas out there… How are you supposed to know what’s what? Well, below I’d like to briefly go over a few of the most common terms and methods that you should concern yourself with:#1. Small Business Search Engine Optimization (SEO)Small business search engine optimization refers to getting your business’ virtual property listed on the first page of search engine results (most commonly in Google) for a select group of keyword phrases. Whether it’s a Google Places page, a YouTube video, a Facebook page or even your own website, the goal is to position yourself so that local searchers see YOU before your competition. It sounds complicated, but that’s why we’re here. The results of a successful SEO campaign can be enormous.#2. Small Business Email Marketing / List BuildingSmall business email marketing is without a doubt one of the most powerful forms of lead generation out there. Imagine having the power to reach your loyal customers any time day or night with your newest and greatest promotions? Imagine being able to send your customers coupons, newsletters and other interesting content so that you’re constantly in contact with them, remotely building your brand in their mind’s eye? I’m sure with a little imagination you can start to see the possibilities… Email marketing is one of the most viable long-term marketing strategies for small business owners to consider. Your customers aren’t going to stop using email anytime soon, and the ability to stay in frequent contact with a customer even if they’re not visiting your actual place of business is too good to pass up. If you take nothing else away from this article, at least learn more about small business email marketing.#3. Social Media Marketing for Local BusinessesThis is the newest and greatest trend in the world of Internet Marketing for small businesses. Facebook alone has over 800 Million users worldwide, and most users spend a minimum of 6 hours per month on this website. As Facebook grows it’s an increasing amount of time YOU could be using to further your business. Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites are going to be some of the greatest marketing mediums of 2012 because they give you the ability to keep up with interested customers on a daily basis through websites that they’re spending lots of time on anyways. Why not take advantage of this opportunity?#4. Pay-Per-Click Advertising for Direct MarketingThe next time you’re searching for something in Google I want you to pay attention to the right side of the screen. You should notice a few small ads that are separate from the search results. These are actually paid advertisements from Google’s AdWords program, and they’re a crucial aspect of small business online marketing. The pay per click advertising (PPC) works is a simple 3 step process:
• Write a small ad for your business
• Pick keywords or locales to target
• Pay per click for traffic directly to your business’ websitePretty easy, right? This is a great way to start off your Internet marketing campaign because with Pay Per Click you get exactly the results you pay for. Want to give 100 new customers the chance to fall in love with your business? Pay for 100 clicks to your website… Done. I’m sure you can see the value in this kind of cost-per-lead advertising. Through proper lead generation and analytics you can have yourself quite a profitable campaign that runs virtually on autopilot. And hey, want to really explode your customer base? Why not use PPC advertising to drive targeted traffic to your email newsletter so you can stay in contact with your new potential customers? Why Internet Marketing for Small Businesses is a Good InvestmentWhat holds back most small business online marketing campaigns that the business owners fail at marketing automation. We’ve all learned this lesson: When you try to do everything yourself you inevitably fall behind in the areas you’re best at, and don’t get far enough in the areas you’re good at.

Branding is a hot topic in marketing these days, but it’s defined in different ways and looked at from different angles. There are many components that make up a brand, and we call each component a Brand Layer. Here are our definitions of some of the most important Brand Layers:Brand FoundationThe base from which all brand elements will be created and measured against for accuracy. This layer consists of the following elements:- Brand Vision is your company’s plan for itself-how your company wants to appear to the world, and how your company wants to grow and change in coming years.- Brand Mission is what your company wants to create in the world, through its products or services.- Brand Values are those ideas that your company brand stands for and that you believe in-and also what you don’t want to and won’t do. These values help your potential clients to decide whether you can help them, and they also help you decide who you will help and what you can’t offer or deliver. Brand Values are largely an internal measure against which you can process incoming jobs, but they will also be communicated through all of your marketing materials.Brand BasicsThese components of your brand form your business’s “face” to the public. Brand Basics shape and direct your customers’ views of your business. Telling your customers how you want to be perceived is an essential piece of a Brand Strategy for any small business, and the easiest way for you to do this as a small business owner is through your:- Brand Identity, the suite of visual elements that are used consistently in your marketing, including:- Brand Names of your company and product or service lines- Logo- Visual Vocabulary- Collateral system/stationery set (business card, letterhead, envelope, and so on)- Marketing materials (brochure, postcard, flyer, and so on)- Website- Brand Content, the way you write and talk about your brand, including your:- Marketing Copy- Tagline- 30-second Pitch or Elevator Speech- Brand Marketing that integrates both visuals and text about your brand, and that gets your message out to your audience. This is made up of your:- Advertising- Trade shows- Public Relations- All other outreach/marketing programs- Brand Offerings, the products or services that you present, along with the quality, warranties, and value that you include with your products and services.- Brand Experience, the process of working with you as seen from the clients’ perspective. But in order to create a positive experience, you have to have a strong foundation of systems, procedures, and processes built in to your business-this is a basic level of professionalism that’s expected of every business. Things that factor in here include:- Returning calls- Availability- Turnaround time- Professional interaction and communication- ProcessThese Brand Basics can also help to shape your Brand Personality, which is the persona that your business projects to the world. This is defined through the way that your brand expresses itself-the characteristics that give your business a life of its own, outside of your own personality.Competitor ComparisonThese components of your brand speak about your business’s relation to the competition:- Brand Positioning is basically how your brand compares with that of the competition. There are probably many businesses that provide the services or products that you provide: Brand Positioning determines where your business falls in the continuum of businesses in your field.- Brand Differentiation is another, more specific piece of your Brand Positioning. Your Differentiators are those things that make your business stand out from your competition-the things that you do or offer that are unlike anything your competition offers. You can control these Competitor Comparison factors through careful market research, market monitoring, and your definition of both your Brand Positioning and Brand Differentiation.Internal MeasuresThese components of your brand are defined largely through your business’s actions:- Brand Environment is the atmosphere at and within your company.- Brand Promise is the underlying guarantee or benefits that you offer as part of all of your services. These promises can be of quality, service, greatness, affordability, or speed of delivery; regardless, every business presents a Brand Promise to the public, promising what the experience of doing business with them will be like or what benefits the consumer/client will get from doing business with that company. While your Brand Promise is often initially shaped by promises made in your external communications, it must be fully realized through the internal execution of your services.- Brand Values, which are an important part of your Brand Foundation, are also helpful in decidingExternal MeasuresThese components of your brand are defined by the public’s perception:- Brand Awareness is the level of public awareness of your brand-who knows who you are and what you do. This is influenced by the strength and effective distribution of your Brand Basics, as well as by word-of-mouth.- Brand Gap is the difference between your Brand Positioning and Differentiation and how your consumers and clients actually view these things. So, what is a Brand?Your brand is really the combination of all of the above Brand Layers. A brand is both your presentation and public’s perception of your business. It’s the way that people think about your business, and it is shaped through all of the layers described above.Once you’ve established your brand and started putting your Brand Basics before the public eye, there are some other branding issues you should consider:- Brand Alignment is the biggest challenge in building a brand comes from creating alignment across all of the Brand Layers described above, and in creating that same alignment between your audience and your message: making sure that the message that you’re presenting is the same message that your customers and contacts are walking away with.- Brand Management is the process of managing all of the Brand Layers and achieving or maintaining Brand Alignment. It is a constant process; you should check up on your Brand Layers and Brand Alignment from time to time. When all of your Brand Layers are working together, you’ll have a strong Brand that will help your business to grow and prosper.

The development of the World Wide Web has definitely bridged a lot of gaps in the human civilization. With web enabled services creating a parallel universe, almost everything around us now has its virtual web based foil. No matter whether you talk about online payments, reservations, shopping, socialization, or any other offering of the internet, it’s safe to say that the internet has greatly facilitated our lives in numerous ways with one of the most remarkable offering being online education.Web based tools and resources have enabled several innovative minds to setup online education system. Unlike earlier times when people had to especially take time out to get them educated, web based education system does not have any such requisite. By opting for an online degree over its traditional counterpart, we can now have the freedom to choose our study hours, making online colleges the ideal place for us to complete our education without compromising on any part of our daily regime.Online degree colleges use web-based learning or e-learning methodologies instead of the conventional ways. Offerings of the internet such as live webinars, recorder webinars or on-demand videos, video conferencing, instant messaging, slide sharing, and many other tools are used to impart world class education to the students. And with the study material saved on a web based server, students have the freedom to use the resources as and when they find the required time slot. All reputed names in the online education business offer internationally accredited online degrees after assessing the students enrolled by the virtue of online exams. However, degrees are awarded to students only if they successfully clear the online assessment. Failing to which, they have to prepare again for the exam in order to receive the desired degree. Once they are able to clear the assessment, the degree is shipped directly to their doorstep or they receive it as a soft copy. With the rise in the demand of accredited online degrees, a large number of firms have emerged aimed at offering online education. Unfortunately, the excess in the number of online colleges makes the task of choosing the best of the lot a bit difficult for the aspirants. However, analyzing the results delivered by suitable contenders in the past may give you a fair idea about their proficiency. Hence, always check the reviews received by the shortlisted online colleges before making your final pick.

The rising popularity of social networking Websites offers very good opportunities for online business owners to get free traffic. Getting traffic from social networks has become a very powerful business tool. People of all ages frequent social networking Websites and it is natural for any online marketer to make use of this medium. There are several advantages of using social networks for marketing and getting traffic from social networks:1. You can easily find people having similar interests in one place.2. The traffic from social networks can be targeted by gender and demographics. So, if you have a business or product about video gaming, you can target males of a certain age group. This is a huge advantage for business owners, as they can directly market to their target potential customers.3. You can get loyal traffic from social networks because the people on your profile will know you and trust you.4. Networks these days have more than one million members worldwide and thus, present an amazing opportunity for online business owners to market their business to people from all over the world. Social networking Websites are a great way to increase the visibility of your Website or blog. You can create a page for your business and post regular updates on it for your followers.5. Networking Websites don’t just offer the ability to reach out to masses. They also offer other more personal services such as chatting and mailing. You can use these to effectively communicate with people and generate traffic from social networks. Now let’s look at some strategies that will help you get traffic from social networks:1. Post your Website link and a description of your product or business on your profile page. Your profile is the first thing that your new contacts will see, so make sure they see your Website link along with your other personal information. This way you will definitely get some curious traffic from social networks.2. There is another interesting way to use your profile to get traffic from social networks. Profiles on social networking websites are searchable. Therefore, if you type in videogames in the search option, you will find a large number of profiles of people who are interested in videogames. You can send a bulk message to these people about your videogame related product along with the link to your Website. It is very likely that they will click on it and visit your Website.3. Join or start a group that discusses latest trends and other generic information related to your niche.

Household Energy Consumption and Successful Energy EducationBehavior ChoicesTwo homes constructed the same year, sitting on the same city block, with similar households, can have vastly different energy costs. The furnace can be the same and the water heaters carbon copies, but one household can effectively control their homes energy costs and the other household produces an energy bill, shamefully, out of control. This is about insulation levels and how well the ducts are sealed, but it is even more about household behavior, energy education, and putting your best, energy-saving, foot forward. This is about parents passing down environmental concerns and expectations to their children and then to grandchildren. It’s about people that lived through the great depression and know the benefit of reducing waste and living with less because that was the only choice. One thing I’ve wondered, is it easier for a rural farmer, who picks tomatoes and corn out of his own garden, to be energy wise and interested in controlling energy consumption, or is it easier for the Central Park native that buys food from an asphalt fruit stand to understand the importance of conservation? Do you need to know how many tits a cow has before you can be frugal with a gallon of milk?Which household is more apt to have had the benefit of ongoing parental household energy education? Is it the farmer, as a result of being close to nature and the environment, likely to be the energy saver and need less energy education? On the other hand, perhaps the person that lives in the high rise is more aware of energy consumption and the amount of power it takes to keep a big city running.Energy educators and power companies have a big job as they work to provide energy education to all kinds of households. Since every household has the potential for both saving energy and reducing energy waste, the energy education challenge is to design a program that can be successful for all households. The gentleman farmer that lives by the creek in the green valley can benefit from energy education and the bank teller in the duplex by central park can also.If people are aware of energy-saving tools and behaviors, they can, within limits, control their energy consumption and curb energy waste. Consumer education then becomes one of the most cost-effective conservation measures available. Educators work to bring consumer education to the people in four essential areas. The subjects remain pretty much the same, but the approach may vary according to house location, income status, and resident expectations.energy EducationEnergy ED and Behavioral Decisions:Behavioral decisions is the Energy Educators biggest challenge when providing household energy education. It is the biggest challenge – yet the area with the most potential. People are simply set-in-their-ways and making behavioral changes is a slow and difficult task. How do you get a person to take a shorter shower with a low-flow shower head when they are accustom to relaxing for hours under the hot flow of water with enough water pressure to make a noticeable divot in the skin? The person feels slighted and abused. After all, just how much energy does it take to run a darn shower for an extra twenty minutes anyway? To change energy wasting behavior, educators try to make a direct connection between the shower they love and the power bill they hate. People learn from their own experiences and their own power bill. Ideal learning opportunities occur when residents make a decision, perform a task or behavior, and do it with their wallet in one hand and their power bill in the other. The educator is often more successful at getting the behavior changed if it is connected directly to the power bill. Therefore, to change energy behavior, the household needs to have power bill education and a complete understanding of the information that is available on almost all monthly statements. To connect real dollars and cents to behavior is the best way to change wasteful behavior.Energy ED and Comfort Perceptions:Basic ComfortsWhenever my daughter complains about a simple hardship, like having to walk home from school in 50 degree weather, I mention her ancestors and the Oregon Trail. If walking home in mild weather was a true hardship, we would still be living in Europe somewhere with everybody else.A lot of people would like to throw the energy educator out the door the minute they mention 68 degrees and thermostat in the same sentence. Are we all getting ridiculously soft or are the comfort levels we have come to expect simply a dividend of having someone else live in a covered wagon for 4 months. The energy educator needs to take a two fold approach here. One is to re-train the household into realizing that some comfort expectations are not really needed comforts and the second is to point out that the lack of comfort can have more to do with the lack of air sealing then the setting on the thermostat.Once the household blames comfort problems on the lack of insulation and the holes in the heating ducts instead of the size of the furnace and the out-of-adjustment thermostat, the household can get back to saving energy in comfort.Energy ED and Household Operation:Chances are if you don’t know what the brake pedal does and where it is located, you shouldn’t be trying to drive the car. You can get in the car, stick your elbow out the window, start the car rolling down the road, but it’s all going to be wasted when you can’t get the car stopped. Remember, car insurance covers dents and missing bumpers, but home insurance doesn’t cover energy waste.Energy education needs to provide training on where your homes brakes are located and how to use them. Only with an understanding of basic home energy systems, can the household use those systems in a more energy efficient manner. The challenge of the energy educator is to provide the household with a basic understanding of how their homes energy systems work and how they work with each other. With the broad differences in homes spanning more than a hundred years, this is no easy task for the educator. The educator is like the child with a huge, connect-the-dots puzzle in front of them. The educator completes the challenge by connecting all the energy system dots in a home until they make a complete picture that is understood by the household.MaintenanceEnergy ED and System Maintenance:Now that the Energy Educator has provided information on the energy systems and how they work together, he or she needs to provide training on the benefit of maintaining those systems. A car that can get 50 miles per gallon will not be able to realize that great fuel mileage if the tires are flat. With the coming cold weather, the Jones’s decided it was time to finally have insulation installed under the floor. Their feet have been cold long enough and warming their feet was contributing to huge increases in their power bill. Insulation was installed under the floor, but the foundation vents were not repaired which allowed critters to enjoy the newly insulated underfloor as well. As the critters rearranged the insulation, placing a lot of it in the dirt, most of the benefit of installing insulation was lost by not properly maintaining both the insulation and the vents. One of the most important maintenance items is the heat pump. Households get lulled into a sense of having great energy efficiency once they have the benefit of a heat pump. The energy educators job is to provide information on the importance of having a Heating Contractor service the heat pump system once a year to get the most energy efficiency from the heat pump every year. Once you get a Prius, don’t maintain it it like a John Deere and drive it like a Mustang. Not an easy job this thing called energy educator. The homes are all different and the household behaviors range from Covered Wagon to Queen Elizabeth. Energy Education remains the most cost effective measure available to both households and power providers for saving energy and increasing energy efficiency. How we live in our homes and how we react to our desired comfort level has a lot to do with the size of our power bill. So, how much does it cost to stand in a hot shower for an extra twenty minutes? Well, that depends. Fresh water from the hillside spring and a solar water heater, stand there until the clouds come over or the sun sets. But if your taking a shower in the drought region of Texas, pumping the water through a filter and then twenty miles uphill to a forty story high rise, don’t take a shower at all, stick to a sponge bath.

If you’re in sales, then you’ve probably heard all sorts of advice, from “don’t oversell” to “focus on solving problems.” However, one of the best pieces of advice that many forget is to smile! After all, your smile is one of the first features people notice about you, and it plays an essential role in the first impression you make. Keep reading to learn all about the importance of a smile in sales (as well as how cosmetic dentistry can help!).

Smile: Your Sale Depends on It!

Knowing your product and knowing your audience are key in sales. However, you don’t get far if your client doesn’t trust you or believe you. That’s why it’s so important to make a good first impression! Here are a few ways a smile can help:

• Smiling is more powerful than you might think – One study found that smiling has the same effect on our brain as $25,000 in cash!

• Smiling communicates your state of mind – Smiling is a non-verbal cue that you are happy to be where you are, that you are confident in your product, and that you are ready and willing to help.

• Smiling creates a ripple effect of positivity – Have you ever seen a friend yawn and done the same? Or seen someone take a sip of water and immediately realized you’re thirsty? Thanks to the mirroring neurons in our brains, we naturally mimic the behavior of those around us.

But What If You Don’t Like Your Smile?

If you don’t like your smile, don’t worry – that’s where cosmetic dentistry comes in. Whether you’re struggling with misaligned, misshapen, cracked, or otherwise imperfect teeth, your smile goals aren’t out of reach. The first step? Scheduling an appointment with a skilled cosmetic dentist. For both my father and myself, providing high-quality, personalized, and judgment-free dentistry is a passion. There’s truly nothing better than seeing someone walk out of our office with a dazzling, confident smile! So, don’t wait to make your dream smile a reality – it could make all of the difference when it comes to your personal and professional life!
