44.
A new player in the UK construction industry has pledged to support contractors, consultants, and clients in delivering…

 45.

A new player in the UK construction industry has pledged to support contractors, consultants, and clients in delivering more efficient, streamlined projects by tackling unnecessary structural expenditure.

 46.
Re-Structured, established by the team behind Blue Engineering, has introduced Fortify – a specialist system for reviewing tender packages. Its purpose is to identify overspecification at the tender stage, cut inefficiencies, and unlock both financial and carbon savings.

 47.
Unlike conventional “value engineering” approaches, which can risk compromising quality, Fortify integrates automation, data analysis, and expert professional insight. The system enables structures to be optimised without sacrificing design intent, safety, or regulatory compliance. Steelwork and foundations often account for the greatest waste, with material use typically reduced by up to 50 per cent.

 48.
The initiative stems from Blue Engineering’s experience of observing strong design work being undercut by cheaper but frequently poorly conceived alternatives. To demonstrate the value of precise engineering, the team began reviewing competitor designs on a no-win, no-fee basis. The effectiveness of that process led to its development into a dedicated business.

 49.
Fortify is already being deployed on live projects, with savings found in most cases. In one London development, Re-Structured’s assessment identified substantial overspecification and recommended targeted investigations and a leaner redesign. This revision cut 4,200kg of steel and 10,000kg of concrete, achieving projected savings of £20,000 and reducing CO₂ emissions by 8,700kg.

 50.
To accompany the launch, Re-Structured has issued a report titled The Real Cost of Over-Design, which analyses 50 recent tender-package reviews. It revealed that in 85% of cases there was significant potential for savings. Steelwork consistently provided the greatest opportunities, with average reductions of 20 per cent, while reinforced concrete was also frequently found to be over-specified. The report highlights how factors such as default software settings, cautious safety margins, and limited cost awareness among design professionals contribute to excessive material use and inflated budgets.

 51.

 52.
James Nevin, co-founder of Re-Structured, said: “By embedding Fortify into workflows, contractors and consultants can protect architectural intent while improving commercial margins and environmental performance. Our latest report shows the scale of the problem but also the scale of the opportunity. It is a way of unlocking savings that are already there, simplifying structures, removing unnecessary complexity, and cutting cost and carbon in the process.”

 53.
The company offers an initial review at no cost. Where savings are identified, Re-Structured works with design teams to deliver updated specifications. Reviews typically take a single day, with smaller projects completed within 48 hours and larger schemes in under three weeks.

 54.
Fortify is most effective between RIBA Stages 4 and 5, up to the stage of material orders. It is already in use by project managers, developers, quantity surveyors, architects, and business owners as part of pre-construction procedures.

 55.
Re-Structured is now broadening its partnerships across the construction sector and has already begun embedding Fortify into the tendering processes of several organisations. The company’s goal is to see the system adopted as a standard step in UK procurement within the next two years, unlocking both financial and environmental value on a wide scale.

 72.

The health and fitness industry has always had a weakness for quick fixes. Glossy magazine covers promise you can “drop a dress size in 14 days.” Social media pushes detox teas, 30-day cleanses, and punishing bootcamps. And while these approaches often deliver short bursts of progress, the results rarely last.

 73.
Alex Neilan, founder of Sustainable Change Ltd, has seen this cycle play out too many times. That’s why his approach is built on a different principle: health changes are only worthwhile if you can sustain them for the long term.

 74.
Quick Wins vs. Long-Term Success

 75.
“Short-term results are easy,” Alex explains. “But if your approach isn’t sustainable, you’ll end up right back where you started.”

 76.
That philosophy has guided Alex’s work for almost a decade. Thousands of people – many of them women over 50 – have joined his programmes after decades of yo-yo dieting. Instead of another restrictive regime, they found an approach designed to stick for years, not weeks.

 77.
The Power of Compounding Habits

 78.
With a BSc in Sports & Exercise Science, an MSc in Health & Nutrition, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics, Alex brings academic rigour to his work. But he also knows real life is messy. His solution is to build small, repeatable habits: eating more protein, moving daily, getting to bed earlier.

 79.
“Think of it like investing,” he says. “Each habit is a small deposit. Over time, those deposits add up to something powerful.”

 80.
For many clients, that analogy resonates. They already understand pensions, savings, and compound interest – Alex simply applies the same principle to health.

 81.
Real Lives, Real Stories

 82.
Angela, a long-time member, explains: “I’ve lost weight before, but I always gained it back. This time feels different. I’m not fighting myself anymore.”

 83.
Her words echo hundreds of other testimonials inside Sustainable Change’s 93,000-strong community. The company now holds a 4.8-star rating on Trustpilot, with reviews praising its focus on lasting results rather than dramatic quick wins.

 84.
Designed for Everyday Life

 85.
A key part of Alex’s philosophy is accessibility. You don’t need expensive supplements or two-hour workouts. Instead, you need a system you can live with. That’s why his YouTube channel (Alex Neilan – Sustainable Change), offers practical advice in short, easy-to-apply videos. Popular uploads like The 3 Secrets of Sustainable Weight Loss break down complex science into simple actions.

 86.
“Not everyone is ready to dive into a full programme,” Alex says. “That’s why I give away so much for free. The important thing is to start.”

 87.
The Bottom Line

 88.
The health industry profits from failure. Diet companies thrive when people fall off the wagon and come back for another round. Alex Neilan is pushing back. By teaching people how to design systems they can actually stick with, he’s proving that sustainable change is not only possible – it’s more effective.

 89.
“Willpower runs out,” he says. “But systems last. Build the right systems, and you’ll never have to start over again.”

 107.
Stunning remote sites offering unrivalled sunset views on 22nd September

 108.
Cliff edges, ancient hillforts, and moorland escapes that require a car to access

 109.
Golden hour arrives earlier, making autumn sunsets easier to enjoy

 110.

 111.
Ahead of the autumn equinox, Turo has unveiled a selection of secret UK spots that provide awe-inspiring sunset views. Traditionally, the summer solstice is celebrated with sunrise, but the equinox marks the last sunset of summer and the arrival of autumn’s longer nights — the perfect moment for golden hour adventures.

 112.
These lesser-known locations range from rugged coastal scenery in Cornwall to quiet moorland and lochside hideaways in Scotland, offering a rare chance to enjoy sunsets without the usual crowds.

 113.
Rory Brimmer, UK Managing Director of Turo, says: “There’s something magical about the autumn equinox – that moment when day and night find perfect balance. It marks the beginning of autumn and the end of what for most has been a fantastic summer.

 114.
“These hidden viewpoints represent some of Britain’s best-kept secrets. They’re places where you can watch the sun set in complete solitude, with nothing but the sound of wind and waves or moorland silence. The catch is that most are completely inaccessible by public transport – you need the freedom of your own wheels to reach these extraordinary spots. Whether it’s a rugged 4×4 for moorland tracks or a comfortable estate for romantic evening drives, having the right vehicle opens up sunset experiences that most people never even know exist.”

 115.
Turo’s Top 5 Hidden Sunset Spots for Autumn Equinox 2025

 116.
Zennor Head, Cornwall

 117.
This remote clifftop near St Ives offers some of Cornwall’s most spectacular sunset views, but requires a winding drive through narrow lanes that defeat most tour groups. The ancient landscape, dotted with Bronze Age settlements and the mysterious Zennor Quoit, provides a mystical backdrop as the sun sinks into the Atlantic.

 118.
Park near the Tinners Arms and follow the coastal footpath for five minutes to reach viewpoints that offer unobstructed western horizons. On clear autumn evenings, the sun appears to set directly into the sea, creating the classic Cornish sunset experience.

 119.

 120.
Autumn equinox bonus: The balanced day-night timing means sunset occurs around 7pm – perfect for an evening drive with dinner at the historic pub afterwards.

 121.
Pen Hill, Somerset

 122.
Rising dramatically from the Somerset Levels, this Iron Age hillfort provides 360-degree views across some of England’s most atmospheric landscapes. The narrow, winding road to the summit passes through ancient woodlands before emerging onto exposed grassland with breathtaking sunset views westward across the Bristol Channel.

 123.
The drive requires confidence on single-track roads, but rewards visitors with one of the West Country’s most spectacular elevated sunset viewpoints. On clear evenings, you can see the Welsh mountains silhouetted against the sunset sky.

 124.
Perfect timing: Arrive 30 minutes before sunset to explore the ancient earthworks and choose your ideal viewing spot from multiple vantage points around the hilltop.

 125.
Cairn Gorm, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

 126.
Accessible via the winding single-track road through Glenmore Forest, the car park near the base of Cairn Gorm provides access to some of Scotland’s most dramatic sunset viewpoints. A short walk from the car park reveals panoramic views across the Spey Valley towards the distant peaks of the Western Highlands.

 127.
The autumn equinox timing is particularly special here, as the sun sets directly between distant mountain peaks, creating a natural amphitheatre for the evening spectacle. The remote location means you’re likely to have this wilderness sunset entirely to yourself.

 128.
Dunkery Beacon, Exmoor, Somerset

 129.
As Exmoor’s highest point, Dunkery Beacon offers unparalleled sunset views across the Bristol Channel to Wales. The approach via narrow moorland roads through heather-covered landscape creates a sense of complete isolation that’s impossible to achieve on Exmoor’s more accessible spots.

 130.
From the beacon, autumn sunsets paint the entire western sky in brilliant colours, with the dark silhouette of Wales providing dramatic contrast. The position also offers views inland across the wild moorland, creating a sense of being on top of the world.

 131.
Moorland magic: Time your visit for late afternoon to experience the changing light across the heather moorland before the main sunset event.

 132.
St Catherine’s Point, Isle of Wight

 133.
The southernmost tip of the Isle of Wight requires a scenic drive through rolling countryside before reaching this dramatic clifftop location. While the lighthouse is well-known, the secluded viewing areas along the cliff path offer private sunset experiences with views across the English Channel towards France.

 134.
The autumn equinox provides perfect timing here, with the sun setting over the Needles in the distance, creating one of the UK’s most iconic coastal sunset scenes. The location’s elevation and exposure create constantly changing cloud formations that enhance the sunset colours.

 135.
Why Autumn Sunsets are Special

 136.
The autumn equinox marks the beginning of the UK’s most spectacular sunset season. As the sun’s angle lowers and atmospheric conditions change, autumn sunsets often display more intense colours and dramatic cloud formations than summer’s higher, harsher light.

 137.
The cooler air and increased moisture create the perfect conditions for those brilliant oranges, deep purples, and golden yellows that make autumn sunsets so memorable. Additionally, the earlier timing – sunset now occurs around 7pm rather than summer’s 9pm – makes these spectacular displays more accessible for evening adventures.

 157.

Outlook’s Personal Storage Table (PST) files are the backbone of this email client. These files store a copy of the mailbox items on the local device. Maintaining the healthy status of these files (.pst) is crucial to ensure the seamless performance of the email client. However, these important data files are prone to corruption. One of the major reasons of PST file corruption is exceeding the file size limit. With time, due to ingress and outguess of email messages (with attachments), the PST file grows larger in size. And, when the file size grows massively, the email client can’t hold or store more mail items. Such scenario results in performance issues like application crashes, missing mailbox data, search issues and frequent error messages.

 158.
Understanding PST File Size Limit:

 159.
It may be noted that Outlook has imposed data file size limit. The below illustration explains the PST file size limit of different versions of this email client.

 297.

KPMG has emphasised that even after costly upgrades, many buildings continue to waste energy. The firm suggests that the solution lies in Strategic Energy Management (SEM), an approach that converts long-term energy and emissions goals into everyday operational tasks supported by artificial intelligence, helping achieve greater efficiency.

 298.
On 15 September 2025, KPMG released its latest report, “How AI is helping to improve energy efficiency and management in real estate.” The paper argues that traditional retrofits are often too expensive and slow to achieve the level of reductions needed to meet 2050 net-zero targets. Instead, it highlights AI as a faster pathway, particularly when combined with the SEM framework.

 299.
Exergio, a company that has developed AI-powered tools to boost energy efficiency in commercial buildings, says these findings reflect outcomes already seen in practice.

 300.
“AI is already helping buildings cut waste by 20-30% in our projects, no matter the climate or the age of the property,” said Donatas Karčiauskas, CEO of Exergio. “But those savings only last if there’s smart energy management behind them. That’s exactly the point KPMG makes, efficiency isn’t a one-off upgrade, it’s how you run the building day after day.”

 301.
According to KPMG, SEM requires constant monitoring of how buildings consume energy and clear accountability for addressing inefficiencies. Karčiauskas explains that this typically falls to facility managers or energy officers for daily oversight, while tasks such as adjusting sensor parameters are best handled automatically by AI and machine learning models, with professionals supervising the outcomes.

 302.
SEM alone can typically deliver 5-7% annual savings, but when combined with AI, savings rise to 20-30%, according to energy efficiency experts.

 303.
The report outlines three stages of SEM. The first focuses on improving existing infrastructure, such as optimising HVAC, lighting, and control systems for daily efficiency. As Karčiauskas notes, this is “a task of AI at the moment as we want to achieve faster savings.” The second stage involves upgrading outdated equipment, like boilers, chillers, or pumps, with more efficient alternatives. The third layer introduces renewables or long-term energy contracts, but only once a building’s base energy use has been optimised.

 304.
The authors underline that installing renewables before optimising consumption offers limited benefits, stressing that real efficiency is more about active management of existing systems than buying new hardware.

 305.
“What’s missing is a culture of active energy management. SEM lays down the rules, and AI keeps the systems running to them minute by minute, with people still in control,” continued Karčiauskas.

 306.
SEM works as a five-step cycle: assessment, planning, implementation, capability building, and monitoring. Within this framework, AI can adjust HVAC operations simultaneously according to occupancy, weather conditions, and usage patterns, while managers establish energy-saving targets, define comfort limits, and review performance.

 307.
“We used the same approach before it was called SEM – simply because it made sense, and that’s where everyone should focus on. Our platform connects to the building’s energy management systems and uses metrics such as sensor data and occupancy patterns to adjust HVAC simultaneously. That’s how efficiency becomes a continuous management task, not something postponed until the next renovation. It reflects what KPMG calls ‘human-centric AI’ that supports transparency and trust,” concluded Karčiauskas.

 324.

Recent technological advancements and climate challenges are transforming the agriculture industry, especially in the area of grain storage. Farmers worldwide face increasing demands for efficient, sustainable, and secure storage of harvested cereals. As the global population grows, the need for optimized grain preservation has never been more important. This blog explores the key innovations shaping the future of grain storage, offering a comprehensive perspective on upcoming solutions and their significance for modern farming.

 325.
Smart Monitoring and Digitalization in Grain Storage

 326.
One of the most significant developments in grain storage technology is the integration of digital systems for real-time monitoring. Sensors embedded within silos and storage facilities collect data on temperature, humidity, moisture levels, and grain quality. These systems send alerts if conditions threaten spoilage or infestation, allowing farmers to respond immediately and reduce potential losses. By leveraging IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, storage management becomes proactive rather than reactive. Automated data collection also streamlines regulatory compliance, as quality records are readily accessible for audits and reporting.

 327.
Remote monitoring does not just benefit large-scale operations. Smaller farms can now implement cost-effective solutions with cloud-based dashboards, making digital transformation accessible to a broader range of agricultural businesses. As these technologies evolve, predictive analytics will likely become an essential part of storage practices. Algorithms can forecast potential hazards and suggest adjustments, helping farmers maintain ideal conditions and maximize grain shelf life.

 328.
Eco-Friendly Storage Infrastructure and Practices

 329.
In response to growing environmental concerns, there is a clear shift toward sustainable grain storage methods. Traditional storage facilities often consume significant energy for ventilation, aeration, and pest control. Modern solutions aim to reduce the carbon footprint by utilizing renewable energy sources such as solar panels to power fans and temperature control systems. The adoption of biodegradable and recyclable construction materials for storage facilities further supports eco-friendly agriculture. Another promising trend involves natural ventilation techniques, where airflow is optimized through intelligent design rather than mechanical means. These systems not only conserve energy but also provide consistent grain quality. Some storage providers are experimenting with hermetic storage solutions—airtight, sealed environments that limit oxygen and naturally prevent pest infestations and mold growth. Alongside these innovations, the careful management of post-harvest residues and byproducts contributes to more holistic and sustainable farm operations, aligning with wider goals for environmental stewardship.

 330.
Automation and Advanced Post-Harvest Processing

 331.
Automation is revolutionizing the traditional approach to handling and storing grains. Automated conveyors, robotic arms, and self-cleaning silos reduce manual labor while minimizing the risk of contamination. These systems ensure precision when moving grain between harvest, storage, and processing stations, ultimately preserving product quality and safety. Automation also plays a critical role in scheduling periodic inspections, conducting maintenance, and managing inventory to avoid overfilling or underuse of space. Some advanced facilities leverage artificial intelligence for quality assessment. For example, cameras and sensors can identify damaged kernels or foreign bodies among bulk grains, triggering targeted removal before storage. This integration of automated sorting enhances the value of stored products and supports stricter quality standards. As automation expands, farms of various sizes can benefit from reduced operational costs and fewer losses due to human error or oversight. More information about innovative storage methods can be found via specialized resources and agricultural technology platforms.

 332.
Adapting to Climate Variability and Global Market Trends

 333.
Climate variability poses unique challenges to grain storage. Unpredictable weather can delay harvests, increase moisture levels, and promote mold or pest proliferation. Innovative climate-resilient storage designs focus on improving insulation and air-tightness to protect contents against temperature swings. Mobile grain storage solutions are also gaining traction in regions with fluctuating harvest schedules or for use in remote areas, providing flexibility to keep up with rapidly changing harvest and market demands. Additionally, globalization has interconnected grain supply chains, making traceability and food safety ever more critical. Advanced storage infrastructure now often includes traceability software, allowing operators to track grain from field to consumer and swiftly address contamination or recall events. These practices not only meet international regulations but also open new markets and foster consumer trust. 377.
By Johannesburg, South Africa — September 2025 In a continent where faith plays a central role in daily…

 378.

By Johannesburg, South Africa — September 2025

 379.
In a continent where faith plays a central role in daily life, one organization is bridging the gap between spiritual guidance and sustainable development. Under the visionary leadership of Dr Alph Lukau, the AL Foundation has risen as a dynamic force in Africa—transforming lives not only through religious inspiration but through tangible, on-the-ground impact. From community upliftment projects to education and health initiatives, the Foundation is proving that faith-based leadership can drive measurable change and foster hope where it’s needed most.

 380.
The AL Foundation established its operations in 2011 to execute multiple charitable initiatives throughout Southern and Central Africa. The foundation supports multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its activities which include providing educational assistance to vulnerable children and disaster response services that help eliminate poverty and hunger while ensuring quality education and promoting good health.

 381.
Education as a Pathway Out of Poverty

 382.
The foundation dedicates its efforts to assist students who lack funds to pay for their education and essential school requirements. The AL Foundation gives complete scholarships to needy students like Kimberly Phumzile Nyathi and Lebogang Sedumedi and other orphaned students who depend on the organization for their school expenses including tuition fees and transportation and school uniforms and food.

 383.
The organization supports SDG 4: Quality Education through its efforts to provide inclusive and equitable education for all students. The foundation enables these young students to stay in school which helps them escape poverty cycles and social inequalities in their communities.

 384.
Food Security and Healthcare: Meeting Immediate Needs

 385.
The AL Foundation operates feeding programs in poor communities of Alexandra and Soweto to distribute thousands of meals each month to children and elderly people who struggle with food access.

 386.
The organization supports SDG 2: Zero Hunger by working to eliminate hunger in Africa which represents a critical humanitarian issue on the continent.

 387.
Healthcare is another priority. The foundation operates mobile clinics which offer free medical services and screenings to people who lack access to healthcare particularly children and elderly individuals. The healthcare programs operated by the foundation work to achieve SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by providing essential medical services in areas without government healthcare access.

 388.
Responding to Crisis: Disaster Relief in Action

 389.
The foundation showed its ability to act swiftly after Cyclone Idai struck in 2019 by sending more than 70 tons of emergency supplies including packages and hygiene supplies to families who became homeless because of the 2022 KwaZulu-N food and medical equipment to Mozambican disaster zones. The AL Foundation sent numerous truckloads of foodatal floods.

 390.
The organization’s quick disaster response efforts are in support of SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by helping communities develop resilience against growing climate disasters in the area.

 391.
Empowering Women and Reducing Inequalities

 392.
The AL Foundation dedicates its resources to assist widows and women who face social discrimination. The foundation used International Women’s Day 2021 to distribute food packages and essential items to 500 widows in Kinshasa Democratic Republic of Congo.

 393.
The initiative supports SDG 5: Gender Equality by fighting against institutional discrimination and providing immediate assistance to groups who receive little attention from typical development initiatives.

 394.
A Faith-Led Model for Sustainable Development

 395.
The philanthropist Dr Alph Lukau is a noted Bible scholar and a leading example of Faith based Enterpreneurship , leads Alleluia Ministries International describes the foundation’s activities as religious service through action.

 396.
According to Dr Alph Lukau, faith requires practical action because faith without action remains empty. Our faith finds its authentic expression through serving communities by providing education and healthcare and delivering emergency assistance.

 397.
The AL Foundation presents a successful model for faith-based organizations to achieve sustainable development across Africa through its combination of spiritual inspiration and results-driven philanthropic work.

 398.
The AL Foundation proves religious organizations can successfully work with the United Nations SDG agenda according to Dr. Mbali Khumalo who studies social development at the University of Pretoria.

 399.
Their work includes measurable outcomes and diverse programs that match international development goals.

 400.
Looking Ahead

 401.
The AL Foundation plans to enter East and Francophone Africa through strategic alliances with governments and NGOs and local churches to increase its reach. The AL Foundation together with other faith-based organizations will help address development gaps which traditional development organizations fail to reach.

 419.
Gastech 2025 hosts over 50,000 participants from more than 150 countries, transforming Milan into the centre of global…

 420.

 421.
Gastech 2025 hosts over 50,000 participants from more than 150 countries, transforming Milan into the centre of global energy discussions focused on supply security, accelerating transition, and driving innovation at scale.

 422.
Twenty-five ministers from Europe, Africa, and the Middle East join CEOs from Shell, TotalEnergies, Eni, Cheniere Energy, Vitol, Uniper, Snam, and YPF for a week of collaborative debates and future-focused partnerships.

 423.
Doug Burgum, United States Secretary of the Interior, captured the momentum in his keynote: “Energy advancements have always transformed the world. But now we stand at an inflection point, gathered here at Gastech, where for the first time in history, energy in the form of electricity can directly be converted to intelligence. We need more factories to build more intelligence, and to do that, we dramatically need more energy.”

 424.

 425.
Gastech 2025 has officially opened in Milan, welcoming senior energy policymakers, top executives, innovators, and investors from across the globe.

 426.
Recognised as the world’s largest exhibition and conference dedicated to natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, climate technologies, and AI-driven energy solutions, Gastech 2025 sets the stage for critical discussions shaping the industry’s future. With record-breaking attendance, the international energy community is coming together to address shared priorities, including energy security, market resilience, and sustainable economic growth.

 427.
Gastech’s Opening Ceremony was headlined by Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director General – Energy, European Commission, who delivered a keynote address on the EU’s continued efforts to build resilient and sustainable energy systems that can deliver on immediate accessibility needs and long-term decarbonisation goals:

 428.
“Looking ahead, fossil fuels will remain a part of the equation, giving stability and security to markets while the clean energy transition accelerates towards climate neutrality in 2050. We need gas in the European energy system, and it will be part of our energy use in the coming decades. The manner with which we implement our legislation – including the methane legislation – will therefore not hinder trade or impede our energy security.”

 429.
Jørgensen was followed by Secretary Doug Burgum, 55th Secretary of the Interior, United States, who welcomed delegates with a call for collaboration and pragmatism, as nations and businesses around the world navigate a complex energy landscape in pursuit of continued innovation and prosperity:

 430.
“Let’s imagine what the world would look like when we’ve got reliable and affordable energy, when we have AI to advance productivity and solve chronic diseases. We stand ready to achieve this future, and look forward to stronger and deeper relationships to make it happen. The partnerships we build at Gastech will echo across generations. Together we can bring peace and prosperity to the whole world.”

 431.
Representing Gastech’s host country for 2025, H.E. Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of Environment & Energy Security, Italy, launched the event commenting:

 432.
“Despite the progress of the energy transition, gas will continue to be part of the EU’s energy mix for decades to come. This is why the Italian government – while working to ensure that clean, safe and reliable technology such as new nuclear power meets future growing energy demand – is at the same time ensuring that gas supplies are boosted and regasification capacity is increased.”

 433.
Following the opening keynotes, Gastech’s first Ministerial Panel convened senior officials from the United States, European Union, Italy, Nigeria, Hungary, and Türkiye, who discussed the crucial role of energy supply diversification, global cooperation, and resilient infrastructure in shaping an inclusive and balanced transformation. Dialogues focused on the emergence of new LNG markets, Europe’s pursuit of energy security, and the imperative to harness natural gas not just as a transitional fuel, but as an enabler of lasting growth.

 434.
Building on the geopolitical perspectives shared by international ministers, Day One also featured insightful contributions from industry leaders such as Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Eni, who participated in a one-on-one interview on the conference’s main stage. There, he highlighted the importance of forward-looking portfolios that effectively enable decarbonisation:

 435.
“We want to reduce emissions, but this is not achievable overnight. You cannot do it by losing money or through subsidies and incentives. You have to make it affordable, because that is the economy – there is no other way.”

 436.
Across the comprehensive Day One agenda, Gastech’s Strategic Leadership panels featured an impressive line-up of CEOs and executive speakers, as they debated and discussed the evolving position of natural gas and LNG as cornerstones of global energy stability and economic development. Participants included Wael Sawan, CEO of Shell, who discussed the critical relationship between policy and industry:

 437.
“Consistency of the regulatory environment is a priority, making sure that regulation incentivises one area but does not disincentivise others. Everyone is rightly saying that we need to go to lower carbon products, yet we see maximum consumption of everything. We therefore need to broaden the perspective to say not what is good or bad, but to create the right incentives to allow the market to function.”

 438.
Another central theme of Day One was the integration of new innovations, including Artificial Intelligence and climate technologies, into modern energy systems. Throughout dedicated conference streams on Hydrogen, Climatetech, Shipping & Marine, and AI::Energy, leading global experts showcased the impacts of new energy solutions such as methane abatement technologies and AI-driven optimisation, while addressing their impacts on rising energy demand and increased electricity consumption.

 439.
With a focus on supporting industry growth and collaboration, Gastech’s exhibition floor saw more than 1,000 global exhibitors and 20 country pavilions showcase a transformative range of products and services. From hydrogen-ready equipment and next-generation LNG terminals to AI and machine learning platforms, the exhibition underscored Gastech’s role as the leading meeting place for executives, investors, and innovators to scale new solutions for efficiency and decarbonisation across the value chain.

 440.
With contributions throughout Day One from ministers, CEOs, policymakers, and technology leaders, Gastech 2025 has set the stage for a week of strategic dialogue and action. Over the coming days, sessions will explore how to secure supply amidst population growth, deliver balanced pathways to decarbonisation, and sustainably expand the technologies that are defining the future of energy and growth.
