41.
A reputation once broken may possibly be repaired, but the world will always keep an eye on the spot where the crack was. Anonymous Dr. Charles Allen mailed the following letter in a fund-raising effort under the pretense that somebody else had mailed it to him:

 42.
"In reply to your request to send a check, I wish to inform you that the present condition of my bank account makes it almost impossible. My shattered financial condition is due to federal laws, state laws, county laws, corporation laws, in-laws and outlaws. Through these taxes I'm compelled to pay a business tax, amusement tax, head tax, school tax, gas tax, light tax, water tax, sales tax and even my brains are taxed. I'm required to get a business license, dog license and marriage license while contributing to every organization or society which the genius of man is capable of bringing to light: comic relief, unemployment relief, every hospital and charitable institution in the city including the Red Cross, the Black Cross, the Purple Cross and the double-cross. For my own safety I'm required to carry life insurance, property insurance, liability insurance, burglary insurance, accident insurance, business insurance, earthquake insurance, tornado insurance, unemployment insurance and fire insurance. I'm inspected, expected, disrespected, rejected, dejected, examined, re-examined, informed, reformed, summoned, fined, commended, compelled until I provide an exhaustible supply of money for every known deed, desire and hope of the human race. And if I refuse to donate something or other I'm boycotted, talked about, lied about, held up, held down, robbed until I am ruined. I can tell you honestly that until the unexpected happened I could not enclose this check. The wolf that comes to so many doors nowadays fortunately came to ours and just had pups in the kitchen. I've sold them and here's the money."

 43.
Not so incidentally, this approach was enormously successful. I believe it's absolutely true that all of us need to "lighten up" a bit and have some fun. Lighten up and I'll SEE YOU AT THE TOP!

 44.
Zig Ziglar is known as America’s Motivator. He authored 36 books and produced numerous life-changing programs . He will be remembered as a man who lived out his faith daily.

 61.
I hope you have enjoyed this series of Zignificance newsletters on habit. You, our readers, are amazing!

 62.
Before I share with you the final habits you shared with me, I thought I would share with you the most powerful habit I learned from Dad. I put this habit into a quote.

 63.
“What you feed your mind determines your appetite.” – Tom Ziglar

 64.
Make it a habit of feeding your mind the right information – and all of the rest of the habits will be just a little
bit easier!

 65.
Challenge: Which of these following habits are you going to adopt?

 66.
Not fidgeting with my phone when with clients. First things first; thus, God first every day.
67. -Frederick

 68.
Short prayer in the morning before coffee. At bedtime, listening to my Bible verses. OH -- that's 2. Lol
69. -Barbara

 70.
Each morning I thank the Lord for blessing me with another day on this earth with my family.
71. -Sean

 72.
I daily wake up at 5 am and do yoga, asana, and meditation. Second habit: I read books written by great people.
73. -Madukhar

 74.
The first thing when I wake up I thank God for another day to work towards my life's goals. The second thing I do is read; sometimes articles, sometimes books, and occasionally just fun topics.
75. -Denise

 76.
Always willing to help someone else out. Get way more done when I make a list the night before.
77. -Maz

 78.
My best habit is replying immediately to my customers’ concerns. Not more than 12 hours if possible.
79. -Rieza

 80.
I think a good habit that I have that has made my life immensely better is starting my day off by repeating my affirmations and praying. Most days, I start my day off in the car, so it has become a ritual for me to repeat my affirmations and prayers in the morning. It has also been beneficial because I used to listen to the radio of repeat songs, but now I have my affirmations and prayers. Additionally, instead of listening to the radio further in the day, I listen to your podcast. I absolutely love it, and have enjoyed my time in the car so much more! Thank you!
81. -Thank you, Bree

 82.
I believe that one of my good habits is waking up and saying, “Thank you, God, for giving me another day.” Second, I list my daily tasks because by doing so I can manage better my time. Third, I read motivational books. It helps a lot.
83. -Regards, Angela

 84.
I do extra practice every day of the week for 30 min. (Note from Tom Ziglar: Dad taught this habit as “a little bit extra!”) Strive to improve my trading knowledge on reading a book or research.
85. -Teboho

 86.
My first good habit is I like to get to work 20 - 30 minutes early; it gives me plenty of time in case of bad weather (I live in Colorado Springs), and I don't have to rush like everyone else. My second habit is I like to start the day reading my Bible before I look at anything else like news, etc. (Like Zig used to say, I want to know what both sides are up to!)
87. -Krikor

 88.
Hi, my best habit is to read helpful books and articles as much as possible.
89. -Best, Honest

 90.
I have two best habits,,,, that changed my life.

 91.

 92.
I am a recovering alcoholic, am sober for five years and nine months. Leaving this habit behind has moved me TOWARDS a great life.

 93.
I started looking after my health. Now I extend my life expectancy.

 94.

 95.
Thank you and have a great day….
96. -Kind Regards, R.

 97.
Well.... I think habit #1 is doing exactly what I am doing right now. My alarm clock went off at 4:30am. Waking up early is a miracle IF USED PRODUCTIVELY. I use the early morning to collect my thoughts, read/ listen to personal development content, and then go for a run to power up my brain. Also, installing the habit of listening and/or reading your "personal ethos"(goals in affirmation form) is a strong and important habit of mine.

 98.
Again.... if you are ever interested in coming to Yazoo City.... I will gladly buy you lunch. (Note from Tom Ziglar: Thank you Tripp! I will come hungry!)
99. -Tripp

 100.
Best Habit:
101. I use the bus ride home for my language practice (app on my iPad).
102. I use the time I spend getting ready in the morning to listen to encouraging podcasts.
103. -Thanks for your podcast!
104. Liz

 105.
Hi, Tom,
106. Almost every day I have people coming to me with problems I have started listening to people tell me about the problems without me talking or butting in. I then ask for suggestions for possible solutions from the speaker. I get ideas, I get time to think, I get less pressure, I get more silence.
107. -Barry

 108.
I read my Bible first thing each morning. I’m connected, encouraged, confident, and so thankful for God’s grace, mercy and blessings. When I don’t, I seem to always be lacking something.
109. -Thanks for all you do to encourage us…just like your Dad,
110. Betty

 111.
Often, while I’m driving, I get great ideas that can help better my work, personal, or family life. The problem is, I normally have a lot on my mind, and often forget that amazing revelation by the time I get to my destination, or even find a spot to pull over and write it down. Since I don’t want to be a distracted driver, I simply call my office phone from the Bluetooth on my ear, and leave myself a voicemail, or I use the Bluetooth to send myself an e-mail with the note. This has prevented me MANY times from misplacing some great inspiration in the dusty recesses of my neck-top computer!
112. -Gary

 113.
I get up early and exercise
114. And to others, I will advise
115. An early day walk
116. Enhances your talk
117. With good health as the ultimate prize
118. -Cliff (Note from Tom Ziglar: Cliff – thank you for all of your poems of encouragement - you continually
bless me!)

 119.
Simple good habits I follow as below -

 120.

 121.
To get up early in the morning, start up the day with Yoga/exercises. (To be alert/wake up whenever I listen to alarm.)

 122.
Read few lines in a book before going to bed, not to be on social media at EOD.

 123.

 124.
-Thanks & Regards, Poornima

 125.
In the last few months I have replaced the habit of overeating to deal with stress and anxiety (bad habit) with intense exercise (good habit). This one small shift has led to big results, both physically and mentally! I have lost over 20 pounds and feel way better!

 126.
Replacing a bad habit with a good one is a game-changer! I honestly feel that being intentional about sculpting our habits is one of the most powerful things we can do to lead a life of significance!
127. -Allan

 128.
I listen to podcasts as well. It brings me up. Joyce Meyer. Joel Osteen. It's a game-changer. Makes me be
better self.
129. -Bo

 130.
My first words when I wake up are to say "Good Morning" to my husband. On his birthday I remember to wish him a happy birthday. I also start my day with, "This is the day the Lord has made. I WILL rejoice and be glad
in it."
131. -Louise

 132.
Tom,
133. I read a fantastic book...The Miracle Morning. I have gotten in the habit of getting up an hour early and doing my Miracle Morning list. I have also gotten in the habit of studying Spanish on Duolingo every day!
134. -Chris

 135.
Wow! We have covered a lot of great habits in the last five Zignificance newsletters. Thank you so much for contributing your thoughts.

 136.
This just proves that… J

 137.
YOU are Born to Win, so go ahead and Live To Win!

 138.
Tom Ziglar

 139.
P.S. Quote of the Day: "You already have every characteristic necessary for success if you recognize, claim, develop and use them." – Zig Ziglar

 158.
"The healthiest of all attitudes is the attitude of gratitude." – Zig Ziglar

 159.
Make gratitude a habit!

 160.
This is the fourth Zignificance newsletter where I am sharing the habits that you, our readers, have sent in. Why so many parts instead of one long list? I have the habit of breaking things down into smaller steps and then taking the steps!

 161.
Pick one of these habits and implement it in your life. Thinking about a good habit must be followed immediately by implementing the habit!

 162.
Here you go:

 163.
I start every day by connecting with God. I do several things in connecting with God each morning, but the one item that has been most profound on my life is reading a chapter of Proverbs every day!
164. -Ken

 165.
First, I would like to thank you for all the great words that you send me! Well, my habit is to write a diary each day. This is the specialized diary! It comprises of all the mistakes that I make per day and what I learned from them. I also write great words and lessons from my leaders and regular work experience. I plan to read it on an occasional basis so that I never dare to commit those mistakes again. (Note from Tom Ziglar - Ben Franklin followed this practice - and the key is to focus on what you learned.)
166. -Kind regards, Sarah

 167.
I tell my wife that I love here every day. (Note from Tom Ziglar - You are a wise man, William!)
168. -William

 169.
My best habit. I exercise every day in some way. Exercise is very easy to move to the bottom of our list. I've found if I just keep the rule to exercise in some way every day, it keeps me on track. Some days it might be a hike or an hour on the treadmill, take a quick swim or rollerblade in the park for half an hour between appointments. If it's been a long day, a stroll around the neighborhood before bed always works. Can't wait to see the list.
170. -Thanks, Tiffani

 171.
I think this is a great idea, and I look forward to seeing the list. I always start my day with reading an email devotional from Joel Olsteen. I always greet people with a smile on my face and enthusiasm in my voice.
172. -Rick

 173.
One of the most important habits that has become a keystone habit that enables others is following a prescribed bedtime routine. Basically three steps:

 174.

 175.
Review the day: What am I thankful for, what did I do right or wrong and why?

 176.
Plan tomorrow: Review my weekly plan and establish the most important task(s) for the day.

 177.
Pray with my wife, interceding for my children, nephews, and grandchildren and future generations!

 178.

 179.
I believe what you said about replacing habits being the fastest way to success!!
180. -Wesley
 181.

 182.
I write down three things I'm thankful for and take a deep breath before I open my laptop each morning. I don't look at computer/cell phone/TV screens after 10pm.
183. -Peter

 184.
Always trying to put God first in control.
185. -David

 186.
Try to meditate for at least ten minutes a day. Try to set a purpose for the day and some gratitude to carry with me.
187. -Mark

 188.
I listen to the Daily Audio Bible every day.
189. I also attend Automobile University every time I'm in the car alone.
190. I listen to podcasts, books, and Zig CDs. Some of them are training, but most of them are for motivation. Because we know - like bathing ....
191. -Dave

 192.
My best habit, without a doubt, is the time I spend every morning 'sharpening the saw.' Every morning I have my time of reading my Bible, prayer and meditation, and writing in my journal. This prepares me for my day.
193. -Cheers, Ross

 194.

 195.
I always say "yes" to my wife before I have a chance to think of what she asked. She has learned to be careful after 30 years.

 196.
When it comes to marriage, I intentionally do not keep score. I have a tendency to want to keep score, and when that attitude pops up, I know I either need let it go or have a honest conversation. (Note from Tom Ziglar - I love this!)

 197.

 198.
Others that have room for consistency improvement are daily Verse Share with my kids and kids of a close friend, daily devotional, drink three quarts of water daily, work out in the morning, rest on Sundays, always re-frame the negative into some type of positive, pray, always say thank you, and be in the moment.
199. -Thank you, Mark
 200.

 201.
You asked to hear good habits. For me (a computer programmer and amateur musician), it's listening to Zig's recordings at the same time as my favorite music (both from a $15/month music subscription). I tweak the volume on each for the perfect balance. This really gets my brain running in high gear.

 202.
Additionally, being possibly in love, I periodically think of and pray about this special someone whom I hope to marry one day. While she isn't yet accepting of the idea, this always brings happiness to me because I have rest assured that God will guide us to the right decision. It's like watching a game replay when you know the outcome. (And you know that will be some good outcome!) (Note from Tom Ziglar - A great habit is praying for the one you will marry someday and developing the habits that will attract that person!)
203. -Bryan

 204.
My best habit by far is offering sincere compliments/expressions of gratitude to others on a daily basis. At first, this was SO TOUGH! But with a little practice, WOW, this habit CHANGES ME! I did not think this would happen. I also find that it is a good barometer and indication of my mindset - did I accomplish my sincere compliment goal for the day? No - what did I miss today in practicing my other mindset habits??? It's a must question for me because, so far, I found an almost direct correlation between missing this goal and not practicing my mindset routines for the day.

 205.
Thanks for writing these emails so frequently, Tom! They really do add value to me and many others, I am sure!
206. -God bless, Adam

 207.
Hands down my best habit is a minimum of 30 minutes a day of personal growth. My second best habit is affirming all my current goals in the first person, present tense.

 208.
It was nice to see you last night.
209. -See you at the top! Rick

 210.
For me, my time is super-valuable. I am a general contractor and I'm selling my skills and my time, which is limited.

 211.
I need to keep my body healthy so I can provide for my family, and there is only so long I can do this type of physical work, so I need to be extremely efficient. First off, I do not work physically past 5pm; after that, I do my paper work no later than 8pm. After that, I will clear my mind of anything work related (I pray to the Lord). I go to sleep early and wake up around 5am. I have a large, healthy breakfast, and plan my day of what I want to get done. I'm really ambitious, so I am pushing myself all day. I eat a "healthy only" lunch (no fast food). Near the end of the day I will find something extra I can do that may only take 5 to 15 minutes. I have found when you're on a roll working, it's easy to get things done. I usually do something my customers won't expect, like repair something not in the contract but beneficial to them. I really want to surprise them with some sort of extra free service.

 212.
So, for me it's; take care of my body, pray to the Lord, and take care of my customer with something extra.
213. -Sincerely, Patrick

 214.
I believe my best habit is when I go to the store and I use the concept "is it a want or a need?" If it's a need, I buy it. If it's a want, I don't buy it right then. I wait and think about it for a couple of days. If I still want it, and if I can pay cash and it won't put me in debt, I might buy it. I like this feeling of being in control of my money.
215. -Daralynn

 216.
I listen to podcasts while on my treadmill. (Note from Tom Ziglar - Getting two great habits done at the same time!) I paint and draw at night instead of watching TV.
217. -Mike T

 218.
I hope you find some great ideas within this message.

 239.
“Motivation gets you going and habit gets you there. Make motivation a habit and you will get there more quickly and have more fun on the trip.” – Zig Ziglar

 240.
Following is the third Zignificance newsletter on the very best habits sent in by our readers.

 241.
Pick a habit and make it YOUR habit!

 242.
I Read and Think..
243. -Larry (I love it Larry – make thinking a habit! tz)

 244.
My best habit is starting early. It sets the tone for my entire day, and if I don’t do it, the day is not nearly as productive. I have also implemented within the last year “2 chairs” – which I heard about on one of your podcasts. So my day starts at 5 with God, time in the Word, and then exercise while listening to your podcast on most days.

 245.
Your idea of eliminating a bad habit helped drastically in the morning, as I used to turn on the news, read emails, and drink coffee. Now, I don’t waste time filling my head with the news or reading emails. That used to cost – and it was a huge cost – at least 30-45 minutes of the start of my day. Eliminating that bad habit helped make my main priority my main priority!

 246.
Thanks for what you and Kevin are doing. I know it’s a business, but you are making a difference in the lives of so many. Side note – as so many, I started my career going to Automobile University with your dad back in 1990, and still have the cassettes! It’s pretty cool that almost 30 years later it’s still occurring, but now with you -- his son!

 247.
-God bless, Ed

 248.
I pray each day before I get out of bed to put the day in God’s hands and orchestrate it for His good.
249. -Hoda

 250.
Prayer and Bible study with the wife before leaving for work.
251. -David

 252.
I leave my phone in another room at the beginning of the day and spend time reading the Psalms and Proverbs "of the day" before I do anything else. I have also started getting up when the alarm goes off the first time, after recently killing the "termite" of using the snooze button.
253. -Scott

 254.
Starting the day with positive influences from you, Tom Ziglar, Simon Sinek, and John O’ Leary. Ending the day listening to Dave Ramsey’s archived radio show while making supper.
255. -Kris

 256.
I start and end my day reading Zig’s Self Talk Card! And I make my car a university by listening to many podcasts while on the road.
257. -Peggy

 258.
Committed to daily physical activity. I shoot for a minimum step count each day (with tracker), starting with a target to meet by the end of a mid-morning break and trying to get the minimum in before dinner. After dinner is the bonus steps. This commitment to intervals of time/activity allows time for faith/personal reflection, planning for maximum impact (success) for the day, and for clearing the cobwebs from my thought processes!!
259. -Laura Lee

 260.
My Daily Affirmation.
261. -Paula

 262.
Here's my best habit right now, for you Tom:

 263.
Before I sleep, every evening, I write my five goals for the following day. It's fantastic: I focus on what's important for me (it can even be "relaxing" at times!) and I always get to at least three! Others often get done later in the week. I got this tip from Michael Heppel's book on time management.
264. -Paola

 265.
You are Born to Win, so go ahead and Live To Win!

 266.
Tom Ziglar

 267.
P.S. Make motivation a habit, and all of the other good habits will be easier to make into habits!

 268.
P.P.S. Make daily affirmations a habit! This habit might be the most powerful and easy-to-do habit of all. Get your Zig Ziglar Daily Affirmations self-talk card right here: www.ziglar.com/selftalk

 289.
This is the second newsletter covering the best of the best habits.

 290.
Challenge: Pick your favorite habit below and make it your own habit!

 291.
I write my two goals every evening for the following day and try to check the day after to see what I have done, no matter how small the goal was.
292. -Milan

 293.

 294.
Starting each day with my prayer devotional, filled with pictures of those I love and want to keep in prayer (including myself), our business and employees, my community, state and country leaders, God's heart for world issues, etc.;

 295.
Reading the Scriptures;

 296.
Writing down five things I am thankful for in my Gratitude Journal.

 297.

 298.
-Judy

 299.

One of my best habits is in relation to my wife and that is every morning before I leave the house I make sure and wake her up, say good morning, hug and kiss her, tell her I love her, and then I can leave the house. It's my favorite of my habits and one that no matter if we are riding high or in a low slump, we put aside anything to make sure we say we love each other prior to parting ways on our daily schedules from there.

 300.
Thanks for all you continue to provide here in these emails.
301. -Dave

 302.

 303.
Start each day with 15 minutes of prayer. This is important to me, so I have it written on my Daily Calendar.

 304.
Be sure to say “Good Morning” to those you work with before getting to the business. One of my first secretaries taught me that lesson and I’ll never forget it.

 305.
Have fun. If you’re not having fun, you’re in the wrong career.

 306.
Remember that feeling you had when you walked in on your very first day? How refreshed, invigorated, and excited you were to get at it? Relive that feeling every day you come in! The rest will fall in place behind these.

 307.

 308.
-Will
 309.

 310.
I use 10-15 minutes of my lunch to re-evaluate the day. Is it going as I have planned? Are there slight course corrections to make mid-day to help the day go more smoothly? If all is going well, note what planning helped to make it go smoothly. Seems to help get the afternoon off to a good start and keep the day from spiraling out!
311. -Brian

 312.

 313. When I wake up I don't do anything before I pray
314. Before I leave from work I have to check my personal emails, social media, and I do research for any interesting training
315. When I reach home, I have a habit of cooking for my family
316. -Regards, Kwizera
 317.

 318.
1st good habit: Before getting out of bed to take over the world, I read a chapter in Proverbs. As you know, Proverbs has 31 chapters, one for every day of the month. Example: this morning I read Proverbs chapter 16.

 319.
2nd good habit: While driving to work, I let my Lord and Savior Jesus know that I desire Him, He’s enough for me, I will cling to Him, and that I know He protects me. Learned this from David’s Psalm 63.

 320.
Greatly appreciate the opportunity to share.
321. -Be blessed! Elberta

 322.
First: While driving to work, I attend Automobile University. I strive to listen to audiobooks that will inspire me to improve some aspect in my life. Years ago, I started this with Zig Ziglar’s motivational tapes. Today, I used the Audible app from Amazon from my iPhone. When there’s a delay in traffic, I’m normally calm, since I’m listening to something inspirational. This idea originally came from Zig.

 323.
Second: Another idea I got from Zig: when someone asks me how I’m doing, I say Better Than Good and Getting Better! I was very blessed to attend one of Zig’s Born To Win seminars in 2006, where I had some one-on-one time with him. He was a great encourager and mentor.
324. -Tim

 325.
My best habit is reading the Bible in the morning, followed by listening to preaching while putting make-up on.
350. No moral man can have peace of mind if he leaves undone what he knows he should have done." John White

 351.
The following bulletin appeared in a church publication. However, it would fit appropriately in nearly any type of publication:

 352.
"Do you know how many members of the Tate family belong to our church? There is old man Dic Tate, who wants to run everything, while Uncle Ro Tate tries to change everything. Their sister Agi Tate stirs up plenty of trouble, with help from her husband Irri Tate. When new projects are suggested for the parish, Hesi Tate and his wife Vege Tate want to wait until next year. Then there is Aunt Imi Tate, who wants our parish to be like all the others. And of course there is the black sheep of the family, Ampu Tate, who has cut himself off from the Church.

 353.
"But not all the Tates are bad. Brother Facili Tate is quite helpful in church projects. Cousins Cogi Tate and Medi Tate always think things over and lend a steadying hand. And finally there is that delightfully happy member of the family, Miss Facili Tate."

 354.
I hope you noticed that it ends on a positive note. All of us have people in our organization like one or more members of the Tate family. Question: Which "Tate" family includes you? All of us belong to one of them. The first "Tate" family is made up of losers. The second "Tate" family consists entirely of winners. You can change your name from Jones to Smith by getting married or going through the courts. However, you can join the winning "Tate" family by making the right choice. So come on and join the winning "Tate" family. They're nice folks to be around. They get things done. Take that step and I'll SEE YOU AT THE TOP!

 372.
Several years ago, a study of seven to twelve-year-olds revealed that 39% of them had as their "hero" a movie or TV star; 19% had a singer as their hero; 11% idolized comedians and 11% athletes. You put those figures together and discover that 80% of that age group had celebrities as their heroes.

 373.
Historian Daniel Boorstin, Pulitzer prize-winning author, says that the best place to find heroes is in the history books. He says, "The hero is known for achievements; the celebrity for well-knownness. The hero reveals the possibilities of human nature. The celebrity reveals the possibilities of the press and media. Celebrities are people who make news, but heroes are people who make history. Time makes heroes but dissolves celebrities." Jackie Joyner-Kersee said a true hero is "someone who really has made a difference in your life," and "If you think of me as your hero, it's important that you emulate Jackie Joyner-Kersee the person, not the athlete you read about." She says she wants kids to understand her values, "that I was able to accomplish my goals by working hard - and to realize that, for me to do that, I needed people who believed in me."

 374.
My number one hero is still my mother, who raised six children who were too young to work after Dad died during the heart of the Depression. Though she lost her husband on Thursday and her baby the following Tuesday, she was able through faith, hard work and great wisdom, to raise her family.

 375.
Real heroes set the right example and bring out the best in others. Think about that; find suitable heros and admire them but don't try to emulate their lives - follow their example. Take that approach and I'll SEE YOU AT THE TOP!

 393.
Dear Lou,

 394.
A few weeks ago, I asked you what your top two best habits were. Over 100 of you replied!

 395.
I got so many great responses it is going to take several Zignificance newsletters to cover them all. Many of them were similar, and a few were truly unique and outstanding.

 396.
Please remember:

 397.
“Habits work not because they are unique and outstanding, but because they are habits.”

 398.
I challenge you to pick one of the following and make it a habit.

 399.
(I have included the first name of the person who submitted the habit as an expression of gratitude to that person.)

 400.
I have a one-hour commute each day, along with plane flights. I have turned the car AND plane into Auto/Air University. Listening to audio books and podcasts (especially the Ziglar show), and others like EntreLeadership and Learning Leader, have greatly increased my exposure to thought leaders. This has opened me up to many great ideas and concepts that I wouldn’t have had, had I just listened to talk radio or music.

 401.
Keep it UP!
402. -Dave

 403.
I wake up early every day for my Bible study and personal commentary time. Sometimes I share later in the day with family when we get together.
404. -Ralph

 405.
Covey's tip of planning your week...it's a big rock... make room in your schedule to plan and analyze and prioritize your week, every week.
406. -John

 407.
Every morning, as I am getting ready, I listen to Joseph Prince Podcast, Boast of the Lord’s love for you, not your love for him. Number two, when I reach the kitchen I do the dishes that were left after I retired for the evening. I start work at 6 am; this way, when my family gets up, they start their day without looking at dirty dishes. :*)
408. -Joan

 409.
My best habit is making sure my husband and I make time to be with our kids and grandkids. Whether that is having them over for dining or going on a vacation together. Memories are what survive us when the Lord takes us home, and we want them to be good ones.
410. -Sharon

 411.

 412.
Throughout every day – Prayer & Praise

 413.
Persistence – one hour of cardio or workout six days a week.

 414.

 415.
-Rick

 416.
My best and most important habit is acknowledging my Heavenly Father the moment my eyes open in the morning, and thanking Him for life and health and breath, and the wonderful wife He gave to me. I follow up with quality time with Him and His Word, listening for what He has to say to start my day (it is, after all, His day, not mine). Then I read my Self Talk to myself before stepping into the "busy-ness" of the day.
417. -Vince

 418.
Listen only to inspiring and educational podcasts/books while I'm running. Get up an hour before my kids to have quiet time to read Scripture and plan the day. While riding in the car, we listen (95% of the time) to educational, inspirational podcasts and books or a book recommended in my kids' school curriculum. (We homeschool.) My kids say sometimes that they don't know current music, but I'm ok with that. I only have these few years to instill this kind of wisdom! Thanks for all you do to inspire my family!
419. -Paula

 420.
I do two chairs, daily Proverb, and fill in my ZPP (Ziglar Performance Planner) as my perfect start. Then I send my wife off with a kiss and the words I love you. Two good habits. I have room for more.

 421.
Warm regards,
422. -Andrew

The answer to this question will bring you joy, satisfaction, and purpose.

 441.
I learned this simple concept from Rabbi Daniel Lapin: “God is never happier with His children than when they are solving the problems of His other children.”

 445.
What problem do you solve? The answer to this question will bring you joy, satisfaction, and purpose.

 446.
I learned this simple concept from Rabbi Daniel Lapin: “God is never happier with His children than when they are solving the problems of His other children.”

 447.
Let me share with you a little bit about me and the problems that I solve. This will help you answer the question for yourself.

 448.
I love speaking, writing, and coaching. Rick Roussin, one of our Ziglar Legacy Certified trainers, calls me an “intellectual engineer” because I love the why behind the WHY so much.

 449.
When I work with people, either from the front of the room as a speaker before thousands, or one-on-one in Executive Coaching, there are three problems that I love to help solve.

 450.
Engage - Success
451. Equip - Significance
452. Transfer - Legacy

 453.
Engage. Far too many people are passively coasting through life. Their belief is that the good things in life are meant for other people. I love igniting hope and passion in people! When you Engage in life and understand that you have what it takes if you will only believe in yourself and develop the qualities of success that are within you, everything changes. YOU are designed for Success.

 454.
Equip. My personal mission statement is “To help you become significant by equipping you to help others become significant.” Success is fantastic. Significance is even better! Significance is when you help someone else Be, Do, and Have more than they thought possible. My heart sings when I equip you to help others become significant. YOU are engineered for Significance.

 455.
Transfer. Legacy is when you teach and transfer the habits that build character, integrity, and wisdom that will ripple through eternity. “Legacy is a transference of habit.” – Tom Ziglar. All of us are going to leave a legacy. I love helping people intentionally transfer their legacy. Transfer your legacy by design, not by chance. YOU are purposed for Legacy.

 456.
Now you know what problems I solve. What problems do you solve?

 457.
You are Born To Win, so go ahead and Live To Win!

 458.
Tom Ziglar

 459.
P.S. Good news for you! It doesn’t matter what problems you solve, you can have Success, Significance, and Legacy when you solve those problems the right way! When I speak to groups, this is the essence of the message that I bring. Nothing increases hope and performance more than knowing that how you do what you do is the key. If you want to inquire about having me speak at your event, contact Laurie Magers at lmagers@ziglar.com (Laurie knows what she is doing; she was Dad’s Executive Assistant for 35 years and this year she celebrates 40 years with the company!).

 460.
P.P.S. Before you get caught up in the title “intellectual engineer,” I want you to know I looked it up on Google and the acronym for intellectual engineer is N.E.R.D.

 474.
What a simple concept that is even more true today. In order to get to the top you have to take the stairs! There is no “free ride” on the elevator to success. Getting to the top requires action – you have to step up the stairs – and you have to do it yourself.

 478.
Way back in 1974, Dad published the concept of the Stairway to the Top in the book, See You At The Top.

 479.
What a simple concept that is even more true today. In order to get to the top you have to take the stairs! There is no “free ride” on the elevator to success. Getting to the top requires action – you have to step up the stairs – and you have to do it yourself.

 480.
Getting to the top, and staying there, requires taking the right steps on the stairway. Here they are:

 481.
Step 1: Self-image
482. Step 2: Your relationship with others
483. Step 3: Goals
484. Step 4: Attitude
485. Step 5: Work
486. Step 6: Desire

 487.
There are several ways you can learn this process in detail. You can get the book See You At The Top right here or we can work with you one-on-one through our coaching program that uses this exact model. Just send me an email at customercare@ziglar.com with the word Coaching and we will reach out to you with the details.

 488.
Remember, if you want to reach the top you have to take the stairs!
