<content:encoded><![CDATA[We are delighted to announce that tickets are now available for the upcoming Gallifrey One in 35 Millimetre (Gallifrey One 2025) convention!  In addition, we can also confirm that hotel reservations at the Marriott Los Angeles Airport Hotel will begin on Friday May 3 at noon Pacific time (3pm Eastern, 8pm UK) with further details coming next week.  Read on!
<h3>Gallifrey One 2025 Ticket Sales Now Open</h3>
Tickets for Gallifrey One 2025 are now available!  There are a few changes for this year, starting with the fact that we’ve moved to a completely new registration provider, RegFox.  This has also allowed us to add some new features, including the following:
<ul>
<li>You can now pre-order convention T-shirts and tote bags on the same order; you can also return at a later date to this same form to add them (until pre-orders close on January 15, 2025)</li>
<li>US residents can opt in for Purchase Protection on your order; in case of a legitimate documented reason you cannot attend the convention, you can file a claim with their company for a refund, provided you paid for it when you bought your ticket (see further explanation below, and <a href="https://www.purchaseprotection.com/terms/">full terms</a> on their website)</li>
<li>Processing fees (including credit card processing) are lower than in previous years, and are calculated during checkout</li>
<li>If you are buying tickets for others, using their email address for their tickets will automatically send them confirmation</li>
</ul>
As previously announced, we have returned to a sliding scale based upon the date of your purchase; the earlier you buy your ticket, the less expensive it will be (except for child tickets, which remain the same throughout the year.)  Our expenses, especially for quality guests, have risen significantly the past few years… but if you purchase your ticket before June 30, you’ll pay the same rates as you did for 2024.

The type of ticket you purchase is governed by your age on the dates of the convention, not purchase; for example, if your child is currently 11, but will be 12 by February 2025, you should purchase a teen ticket.  (Admission for children under age 3 is always free of charge.)
Our new registration provider only takes credit and debit cards; we no longer allow ticket purchase via bank transfers.

Your general admission ticket includes full access to the convention itself, including all four program tracks (in Program A, B, C & D), which includes all guest interviews, Q&A sessions, panels, presentations and discussions; and access to the Gallifrey One Dealers Room, Art Show, video room, gaming lounge, kaffeeklatsches, and meetups & events (in Program D & E, on the convention patio, and elsewhere).  Every guest of Gallifrey One (except signing-only guests, who are clearly indicated on our list) will appear as part of the main convention program; you do not have to purchase an optional add-on to see your favorite guests!
Optional events NOT included in the price of admission include the following: photo studio sessions with guests; the Friday & Saturday evening guest receptions; and exclusive VIP script readings and meet & greet sessions.  These are sold, along with the TARDIS Tag and Diamond Passes, by our partners at <a href="https://www.gallifreyone.com/addons/">Convention Photo Shoots</a>, and are NOT required to fully enjoy the convention.  Please note that while many guests autograph freely throughout the weekend, our actor guests and other select individuals autograph for a nominal fee.  We do NOT pre-sell any autographs, except those included in the TARDIS Tag & Diamond Pass items sold by Convention Photo Shoots.
Purchase Protection: This is a new feature offered by our registration provider; for a nominal fee, it allows US residents to protect their ticket purchase in case of emergency, with successful claims offering up to a full refund of your ticket price (but does not cover merchandise.)  Claims are filed with the company (Purchase Protection LLC) along with your supporting documentation; Gallifrey One is not involved at all in the process and we cannot intercede on your behalf.  To review Purchase Protection’s full terms and conditions before purchase, visit their <a href="https://www.purchaseprotection.com/terms/">website</a>; note that you cannot add Purchase Protection at a later date.  Purchase Protection is not available outside the United States, sorry!
Adding Con Merchandise Pre-Orders Later: If you do not pre-order a convention T-shirt or tote bag during the registration process, and would like to do so at a later date, simply return to the same form and select the “Merchandise Only” option.  You can do this any time up until a month prior to the convention; merchandise pre-orders end on January 15, 2025.  You must have a ticket to the convention to pick up your merchandise!
<h3>Marriott LAX Reservations On May 3</h3>
Our annual hotel reservations event will take place on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 12:00pm (noon) Pacific Time (3:00pm Eastern, 8:00pm UK) for all reservations at our host facility, the Marriott Los Angeles Airport Hotel.  We will once again offer a group code for discounted rooms at the lower $170/night rate (plus additional taxes and fees.)
Hotel accommodations at the Marriott are in very high demand, and usually fill up immediately, both our discount room block as well as all other available hotel rooms… though as many learned last year, rooms are released back into the system frequently, and many were able to get them within a few hours of the event.  This is why we encourage everyone who wants a hotel room at our host hotel to be online and ready to make a reservation when they open, and to check back throughout the day thereafter.
If you don’t get a room at the Marriott, fear not; there are plenty of hotel rooms available in the local area, including several hotels within a few minutes’ walk.
You must have purchased a ticket to Gallifrey One 2025 in order to reserve a hotel room on the convention discount block.  All reservations made on the discount block will be checked against our ticket purchase database shortly after the reservations event, and anyone without a ticket will have their reservation cancelled, in order to be fair to our early supporters.

<h3>Ticket Purchase Terms and Conditions</h3>
As a condition of purchase of tickets to Gallifrey One conventions, you must accept the following during the purchase process.  These rules are bound to the persons using a ticket for entry into the convention at all times, regardless of whether they are the original buyer or not:
<ul>
<li>Refunds from Gallifrey One are not permitted under any circumstances. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
<ul>
<li>US residents who have added Purchase Protection to their ticket order, and who are unable to attend the convention for covered reasons, may contact Purchase Protection directly to file a claim under Purchase Protection’s terms and conditions.  Gallifrey One is not party to this process, and will not intercede in any way during this process.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Resales of tickets between parties are not allowed.</li>
<li>Changes to tickets may be made as follows:
<ul>
<li>The name on a ticket may be changed in advance by the person who purchased the ticket, by sending email to Gallifrey One (see our <a href="http://www.gallifreyone.com/contact/">contact us</a> page); this is primarily for people who purchase multiple tickets in their own name to distribute to friends or family members, or changing individuals within one’s party.  We will only take change requests from the current ticket holder.</li>
<li>Name transfers on tickets may also be made on site at our Convention Registration desk, but the current ticket holder must be physically present to make the change.</li>
<li>There is no need to contact us after purchase to give us your change of address, as we only use your address during the purchase.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Deferrals of tickets to subsequent years are not permitted.</li>
<li>All other terms and conditions required during purchase include:
<ul>
<li>Consent to abide by all California, Los Angeles County, and City of Los Angeles laws and requirements, as well as Gallifrey One’s posted policies at the time of the event.  These can be found on our <a href="http://www.gallifreyone.com/policies/">Convention Policies</a> page</li>
<li>Understanding of the terms and conditions above regarding no refunds, no resales and no deferrals. </li>
<li>Acknowledgement that all convention attendees will obey all posted rules and regulations of the convention while on premises at all times, including our mandatory courtesy policy, anti-harassment policy, policies regarding video recording or retransmission/streaming, and other policies as noted on our <a href="http://www.gallifreyone.com/policies/">Convention Policies</a> page.</li>
<li>Finally, your understanding that Gallifrey One does not sell tickets based upon any attending or announced individual convention guest; we will not offer refunds or deferrals to anyone who wishes one because of the cancellation of a guest or guests.  All guest appearances at Gallifrey One are subject to work commitments or other factors (including public health-related issues) and are announced as such at all times.</li>
</ul>

Please note that any attempt by an individual to challenge the legitimate purchase of a ticket by disputing the charge with their bank or financial institution, or initiating a refund via their card provider, will result in the permanent ban of that person from this convention. Remember: all ticket buyers agree to the “no refunds” policy and other terms & conditions upon confirming the sale of each ticket. You have been warned.

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Gallifrey One’s Miracle on 34th Street is in the books… and we want to thank all of YOU for helping us make it happen.
With 3,101 attendees, guests and staff welcomed to this year’s event, we think this convention was the smoothest and most fun we’ve ever done.  All of our program rooms were usually filled to capacity, and our guests were all outstanding.  We’re especially thrilled that we could bring Sir Derek Jacobi, in an extraordinarily rare appearance, and we know he had a great time, as did our other guests.
We would like to thank all of you for your gracious attitudes toward our staff and guests.  We know many of you picked up the dreaded “con crud” during and after the event (a sad fact of life at any convention with attendees from around the world, no matter the topic) and we’re happy to say we’ve received very few notifications about COVID infections, some of which aren’t sure if they got it at the convention or shortly thereafter.  As our program director said during Closing Ceremonies, Gallifrey One is not perfect; we’re a fan convention, and even though we try our best and our hearts are in the right places, we know there is always room for improvement.  To that end:

Charity Auction: We are delighted to announce that we will be making a donation this week of $21,733.50 to The Trevor Project, our charity this year.  We’re going through the last few contributions right now, and will have a specific amount in the days to come.  Our thanks to Kimberly Spicker and Jaslyn Robbins at The Trevor Project, as well as our wonderful charity auction staff who went the extra mile this year to bring in as many donations as possible, and especially thanks to those of you who bid (including the top item, $6100 for a fully signed Firefly cast print).

The clock now resets again, as we begin the countdown to next year!  We are pleased to announce Gallifrey One in 35 Millimetre, February 14-16, 2025 at the Marriott Los Angeles Airport Hotel.  Everything you love about Gallifrey One will be back: great guests, panels, interviews, special events, dealers, the art show, badge ribbons… all the fun that has become an annual tradition. 
Tickets to Gallifrey One 2025 will go on sale in April 2024.   In a change to what we’ve been doing for well over a decade, we have chosen to return to the sliding scale registration model; the initial prices on tickets that begin to sell in April will only be available for a short time, and will then increase in five-dollar increments over the subsequent months.  We feel this both rewards our early supporters (especially those who support us time and again without any guests being announced) and helps us in the later months: the earlier you buy your ticket, the more budget we have available at that time for booking new guests.
Ticket prices will be announced soon, and will also include a small processing fee, which will be added to each order.  We will be soft-launching ticket sales again this year (i.e. they’ll just go on sale, we aren’t giving a day and time they’ll begin.)  We did not sell out in 2024 (though we came very close… only about two dozen tickets were left unsold, as we went in with 65 still available and sold about 40 on site.)
We will once again be selling tickets via Member Solutions.  As a reminder, we no longer sell convention tickets on EventBrite (though our Convention Photo Shoots partners do use EventBrite for selling their add-on items).  
We will also be opening convention T-shirt/tote bag preorders at the same time as tickets go on sale.  This is also through Member Solutions, but will be a separate process (we wish we could do everything on the same form, but that causes us issues behind the scenes.)  Prices will be posted on the order page and you can select your T-shirt size at that time.  (We do not, and will not, have a design until the convention happens; this is for convenience only, sorry.)  Please note that if you don’t purchase your convention merchandise during your ticket purchase, you can always come back at a later date.
We can also mention that hotel reservations at the Marriott LAX Hotel will take place toward the in late April or early May.  After ticket sales are open, we will announce an exact time and date for hotel reservations.  This is, unfortunately, the least pleasant part of Gallifrey One for everyone, including us, as hotel rooms on our discount block usually sell out within minutes.  Never fear, there are always plenty of local hotel options (some even cheaper than the Marriott!) and convention attendees can always find a place to stay within a very short walk from our host hotel.
Finally… we’d like to once again remind everyone that we no longer permit ticket resales, and refunds are not given for any reason (we budget our convention entirely on the proceeds from that year’s ticket sales.)  You can, however, purchase multiple tickets in your own name and reassign them to friends or family members at a later date, provided no money changes hands.

As much as Gallifrey One is created by all of us, the key to its success is all of you.  We could not possibly do this without our gracious and supportive attendees, who return time and time again to take part in our show.  We have the most dedicated and wonderful fan base, not just in Doctor Who fandom but anywhere in the world.
